The Market
For years the Art Market has been a combination of passion with an investment strategy.
Currently between Brexit, Trump winning and rising political uncertainty in EU - investors are
looking for alternate ways to invest in tangible assets that don’t rely on governments. However
there is one thing that hinders this approximately $6 Billion a year Market . In the words of
Artnet reporter Sarah Cascone: “Nothing strikes fear into the heart of an art collector, museum
or a gallery like the possibility that a prized work of art might actually be a worthless forgery”.
With estimations of forgery of about 50% of the market, no wonder fear is affecting all art
transactions - online and offline.
Our Solution
eCOA™ (Electronic Certificate of Authenticity)
Our unique solution is based on recruiting the artists to mark their own artworks, and make
sure no one will ever counterfeit their work. We’ve created a secured process that enables the
artists to protect their valuable work within minutes from signing up.
ArtShield solution relies on a few elements of available technology that are now easy to
distribute and implement. We’ve been testing it with a dozen of artists and got extremely
positive responses on the idea and its implementation.

Why us, and why now?
Art Forgery has been a huge problems for decades and many have unsuccessfully tried to solve
it. So what will make us succeed where others has failed?
Our founder, Motti Abramovitz a third generation art dealer that holds an engineering degree
from the Technicon (a world leading engineering institution), has envisioned the solution from
his deep understanding of the art market uniqueness and trends. For years people have been
employing forensic technologies like radiocarbon dating, X-rays, ultraviolet and infra-red
spectrography and chemical, optical & microscopy analysis. In contrast - we took a different
route and found a way to empower the only person who can guarantee 100% that an artwork is
genuine – the artist. Our method is the only one so far that is simple, cheap, easy to understand
& implement, and fully certifies authenticity.
Barrier to entry
Once an artist signs up to Artshield and uploads his work, a bond is created between the artist
and the artwork owners, through our system. From that point on artists will be able to follow
the trail of their work, and it is unlikely for them to switch to a different solution and lose that
connection.
In addition, in recent years it has been possible to be granted a patent on a business process (e.g.
priceline), and we intend to apply for it.
Currents status
Artshield has created it initial system that allows artist to authenticate their work and upload
it. We ran a pilot with about 12 artists who uploaded over a 100 artworks. Their responses to
the idea and technology were extremely positive, and some even provided us feedback on
other positive effects of the new solution.
Currently we are looking for half a million dollars to fortify our technology and signing up
the first 500 artists.
