What is bench marking?
 “ Benchmarking is simply the process of measuring
the performance of one’s company against the best
in the same or another industry”.
Benchmarking is a company
dedicated to helping business owners succeed by
offering high digital marketing services.
Levels of benchmarking
 There are three levels of benchmarking:
A. Internal benchmarking ( with in the company)
B. Competitive or strategic benchmarking ( industry &
competitors)
C. Benchmarking outside the industry.
What are the benefits of
benchmarking?
There are three sets of benefits :
 Culture change
 Performance improvement
 Human resources
1. Cultural change:
Benchmarking allows
organization to set realistic, rigorous new
performance targets. And this process help
convince people of the credibility of these
targets. It help people to understand that
there are other organization who know and
do job betters than their own organization.
2. Performance improvement:
Benchmarking allows the organization to define
specific gaps in performance &to select the
processes to improve. These gaps provide
objectives & action plans for improvement at all
levels of organizations.
3. Human resources : Benchmarking
provides basis for training . Employees begin to
see gap between what they are doing best-in-
class are doing.
Objectives of Benchmarking:
 Improving industry best practices
 Defining customer requirement
 Establishing effective goals & objectives
 Developing the measures of productivity
 Focus in planning operations & cost reduction.
