What Is The Best Sport Essay
I think the best sport is wrestling even though It's probably the least fun sport in the world. I think it's the best sport because it's a great example of
a team that is a brotherhood. I think it's the best sport because it is an individual sport and the person controls whether he wins or loses and there's
nothing to blame your losses on but yourself. I think it's the best sport because if you want to achieve big things like being a state champ you have
to work hard by yourself and there's no one but you to push you. I think wrestling is the best sport because it is a great example of a team that is a
brotherhood, because it's an individual sport, and because it shows you what real hard work is. Wresting is the best sport because it's an example of a
team that is a brotherhood. Wrestling teams aren't close like teams that are on the field together because only one person can be on the mat at one time.

Wrestling shows you what hard work is because you have long practices that last two to three hours, and you really don't want to be there but you
have to work hard because you remember what your goals are. All of the weight cutting, long practices, days with no food, drilling after practice,
dieting all week for only one day on the weekend and for what to get a little medal? It seems crazy to me but all of those days lead up to the big
stage which is the state tournament and that's where you get to see if all the hard work you've put in is going to pay off of not. For some it's the
greatest day of the year, for others they leave heart broken. Plus it sucks to think that the guy you could face in the state has worked harder than you.
My coach told me that if you work hard enough everyday it will be hard to quit when the time comes for you to wrestle for a state title. I think
wrestling is a true example of hard

Volleyball Is My Favorite Sports
The chorus of whistles, cheers and volleyball's pounding against the ground filled my ears as I watched my opponent dribble her routine against
the floor. One, two, three hits against the floor, a spin in her hand, a deep breath in. She tosses the ball up in the air, and my body automatically
moves in the direction her body is facing. I watch the ball hit her hand with solid contact, and how it moves to our side of the net; no spin. The ball
sails toward the back end of the court, my feet move into the familiar drop step position. However, my feet don't move fast enough, I'm forced to take
the ball outside my body. It skids across my arms, and moves further to the back line. Despite the obvious effort my teammates put in to reach the ball

Once again, it had paid off; I had been named libero, the first starting freshman libero since Kendall. While it felt like a weight was lifted off my
shoulders, another one was loaded on. I had to fill Kendall Braate's shoes, despite the enormous footprints she had left. I had been doing my best to
step in her wake when I snapped; one of my worst practices ever. Every pass was a shank, either skidding off my arms, or dropping straight to the
ground. With every pass, I felt myself going into a deeper and deeper trance of utter desolation. After one more pass, I ran to my coach, politely
asking if I could step in the locker room while I vainly blinked the tears out of my eyes. She nodded, and I ran to the locker room as fast as my feet
could carry me. One step in, two, and then a tidal wave of tears crashed over me. All the stress, pressure and distress I had been feeling poured out
of me in a loud, snotty mess. I cried, I cried, and I cried until I felt like all of the liquid had been drained out of my body. And then I had thought
about practice again, and the rainstorm washed over again. Only did I stop when I heard the creaking sound of an opening door interrupt my deep
breaths and sniffles. Kendall Braate walked in, an already sympathetic look across her face. She walked over to the bench underneath the lockers, and
used her hand to beckon me over. I took a few unbalanced steps over,

How Softball Is My Favorite Sport
lauren kazanjian English 1 Level 2: blue expository essay 10 October 2015 Swing, hit, homerun! Softball is my favorite sport. I love the excitement it
brings me every time i smack the ball out of the park. The game of softball was created on Thanksgiving day 1887, but did not become a NCAA
approved sport until 1910. (http://www.athleticscholarships.net/history–of–softball.htm) One person that i look up to as a role model is Jennie Finch.
She is one of the best softball players that has played in the olympics multiple times. Not only did she just play in the olympics, but won a gold
medal in the 2004 olympics, and a silver medal in 2008. She started to love the sport when she was young at age. She recognized the sport when
she was a bat girl for the bruins baseball team. From that moment on, she began to fall in love with the sport. Her first time playing softball was
around the age of five. Three years later, she started to practice as a pitcher. She wanted to work her way up to be the best in softball. As years past,
she reached her goal and before she knew it she started playing in the olympics! ( http://usatodayhss.com/2015/jennie–finch–playced–softball–recruiting
Jennie Finch 's love for the game was as great as her love for her family and friends. Her competitive nature was obvious from the start. She had great
athletic ability. She was the best on her team; faster, bigger, and stronger than most of them. Her arm was like a cannon and she was a great

Why Is Soccer Important To Me
All around me I could hear what people were saying and majority of my soccer teammates were talking about me, yet they could not know I could
hear them. My heart sinks when they call me big ears grant and I always get depressed but at this moment I am used to it. I look different from
people, well people look different from me.Only me and my bestfriend know my secret, the hopeless part is that my best friend died three years ago in
a car accident.I refused to go to school for one week he was my only friend. Not even my parents know my secret that I can hear anything and
everything. "Grant" Mrs. Terry called to me in her most annoyed voice ever. "Here" I replied. Looking around at the tall grass and long maple trees
behind the white goalie net. More importantly I could also see the horror of the faces of my teammates because I am different from everyone else.
There was always that one person that could never control their facial expressions. No one would wish for big ears like me but I am lucky to have big
ears. Then soccer finally started just like usual five days every week, no break, no water, just ball to person.Soccer is my favorite sport because of how
competitive it gets. There is some big people on my team that I am even frightened about.I am the usual size for a teenager boy over 125 pounds.
"Everyone get into groups of four, we are going to be passing the soccer ball" Mrs Terry yelled very loud. By the way Mrs Terry likes everyone on my
soccer team besides me and

My Favorite Sport Is Basketball
Basketball is my favorite sport because I remember at a very young age of about three or four years old, in 1998, I first watched a National
Basketball Association (NBA) game. I was watching when the Chicago Bulls was playing as I sat in the living room with my father and my uncles. I
didn't know what they were talking about, but my eyes were glued to the television when I saw Michael Jordan dunked on two people. His performance
gave me the motivation and I started playing basketball to make a career out of it. I wanted to move my family out of the poverty without any
financial worries so I stared practicing each day. Every day as I was on the basketball court playing, I used to wake up early in the morning
dribbled the basketball from my house to the basketball court and into the park. I was about fourteen years old about to go to high school so I was
practicing to make the tryouts. It was the summer time like around July 2009 and at first, I wasn't good enough so, I told my mother that I needed
a couch to work on my feet and left hand. She called one couch up and we had a one on one session to train me. After practicing, I went back to the
courts and played a full court game with older and bigger guys. It was five on five and I was the youngest of them. I had a little jump shot, but I
really had a back board shot. I was good with angles for a little man at that time, but I was only getting better. I started challenging grown men that
were old enough to be my father. I lost some games, but won a lot plus my younger brother was always there with me. He used to stay on the sidelines
watching because he couldn't play with me. Yet, he was too young at the time to...show more content...

Racism In Football Essay
My favorite sport is soccer that is also known as football in Europe and most of the parts of the world. It is hugely popular game in the world and
this is why it is the most played game of the world and almost all the countries of the Europe have their own football leagues and the Barclays premier
league of England is the most widely watched league of all, even in the countries that don't have a proper football setup and team like India and
Pakistan. Other countries of different continents also have their own leagues but that are not very much popular around the world. This game has
everything for people of all the age groups and that is why it is widely played, followed and liked all around the world.
Football is one of the most ancient game of the world and there are proofs that this game was played in one form or another in many old
civilizations and this can be seen the portraits and paintings of these old civilizations in which people were seen playing football and this is probably
the biggest reason due to which the game is very popular around the world and is played all around the world and it has been transferred to each other
through generations.
Problem:
There are some problems that can be associated with this game and the biggest one of them is racism. Even after all these years and fight against
racism the plague of racism has not been completely removed from the game of the football and events of racism can be seen after every few days.

What Is My Favorite Sport Essay
Despite what other has to say soccer is one of my favorite sports. Here is a game played by two teams of 11, each trying to pit their wits and skill
against the other in an attempt to win the match. The game lasts for 90 minutes in two halves of 45 minutes each. The reason for this is so that
each team plays in both directions so that no team has an unfair advantage with slope or wind which could affect the game. In the first place Soccer
is my favorite one because is the only sport where size really doesn't matter. I'm a 5'0 and I still get the chance to play it with no problem. I was
introduced to the delights of a relatively physical activity that would both keep me fit, and provides an outlet for enjoyment, together with the
opportunity to increase my skill and muscular dexterity. It would also help me to develop a reasonable well–built and healthy body, naturally the level

Both in playing and watching. In fact, as a player, I played for 20 seasons from the age of 10 to 25 before age caught up with me. I would
recommend the game to anyone, either as a player or spectator. It certainly gave me a beautiful experience, I got the chance to make new friends
and of get feed backs of what they think about my skills as a soccer player. That I love learning new tricks with the ball, it takes time to get it
perfect but at the end it satisfies me. I might not be a professional one but when I'm playing against another team just for fun and I have a new trick
causes everyone to get excited and it makes me get a feeling that I cannot explain. Makes me remember the reason of why this is my favorite sport.
In conclusion despite what other have to say Soccer is my favorite sport. A sport where size doesn't matter; the uniform is very light for a person who
doesn't like to run with heavy equipment. Rules are simple and you get to play it all year long indoor or

Why Soccer Is the Best Sport Essay
L.A. essay Why soccer is the best sport By: Omar Soccer is the most played sport worldwide, many people love it and I'm one of them, it is my
favorite sport because you can improve your skills with your feet, and get a lot of exercise. By writing this essay, I hope that I can provide more
information about the sport and maybe convert the people who dislike the sport into fans. I have heard from some people that soccer is a boring
sport, but the truth is, it's a very interesting sport with a lot of excitement in it. When playing soccer, ball control is critical, you need possession of
the ball in order to keep it away from the other team players, and at times, it can be fun because if you have possession of the ball most of the game,

If you play soccer, you have to practice in order to win, just like any other sport. When playing a game, you need to do moves that you have
practiced, to get past the other teams defense and score a goal, and you also have to teach yourself mentally to think before you react. If you have
the ball, you can't just kick it randomly and hope to score, you have to think of your other teammates and work with them to get the ball up the
field. Another part of soccer that is very critical is passing. You have to pass the ball and develop new techniques and ways to control how the game is
played. The last part is that you need to be fit in order to play soccer, because you are constantly on the field, and you don't get a lot of breaks, because
the game never really stops except for halftime and when a foul is called or if you are waiting for the ball to come. When you're on defense, and
playing a good team, you can be running around a ton, and you get tired really easily, especially when someone is on a breakaway, you will have to
sprint down the field to try to stop them. If you play soccer a lot over a long time, you will develop good leg strength. Exercise is critical to the
human body, and you will get a whole bunch of it by playing soccer. I hope this essay encourages parents to in–role their kids to play soccer because
it's an amazing

Soccer Is The Best Sport Essay
By definition 'best' is something of the most excellent, effective, or desirable type or quality. If you went to kindergarten, you would know how to
find out if a statement is a fact and opinion, and there is always a tell–tale word in the statement. There is a distinct difference between fact and
opinion, so, everyone thinks their sport is the best of all. Even though "best" is solely based on your opinion, there is also another thing preventing
there being a "Best" sport such as the bias all people hold, even if they are "neutral". So the true question is, "Can science prove it?" If you are even
moderately educated, you know the difference between fact and opinion. The rule goes: If something says all, should, most, or best, it is an opinion. If
those rules apply, the statement "All living things have brains, hearts, and lungs" is not true, and the statement is most surely not true. Same goes for
the statement "All people should think that soccer is the best sport", it is definitely not true that all people should think that, and not all people want to
think that soccer is the best sport. So, in conclusion, some one's statement on the best sport is by default, an opinion, and opinions are unreliable....show

Throughout this vast country we as Americans are entertained by many different things, including movies, music, and sports. Although, there are
many ways for me to be entertained, I prefer the enjoyment of sports. As a youngster I enjoyed playing backyard games. We rounded up
neighborhood kids and played for fun. We played either football or basketball every weekend. These two sports are the favorites of those who play
them around the world. While these sports are alike in many ways, they are very different in other aspects. Although sports such as football and
basketball are physically demanding, I, as a player of both, have noticed the similarities as well as the differences. For instance, in football, I play

The offense of football is one unit that goes on the field to play against the opponents' defense. When the offensive unit scores or turns the ball
over, it goes to the sideline to await its turn to go back out on to the field, and the same rules apply for the defensive unit. Football scores can be in
increments of one, two, three, and six points. They are scored by kicking a field goal after a touchdown, tackling for safety, kicking a field goal in
regulation play, running the ball into the end zone. Football is played at a high speed with a lot of intensity. Basketball, on the other hand is
played inside on a court. There are only five players per team on the court at a time. Players have to play both offense and defense simultaneously.
The scoring in basketball is also different; points can be scored in increments of one, two and three, these are scored by shooting the ball into a
hoop. Basketball is a game that is played by skilled people who can jump high, shoot well, and have great ball handling skills. Playing basketball
requires you to have to have endurance, because running from offense to defense and back to offense requires you to be in great shape. Basketball is
played at a medium pace and can be very exciting and nail biting. To sum it all up, both of these sports are equally exciting. They are both played with
a lot enthusiasm and heart. Basketball and football have there differences and similarities,

Explain How Sports Reflect Who You Are
Explain how sports reflect who you are.
I really really love sports, I really like to play and watch a lot of them. My 3 main ones are Soccer, my favorite sport, basketball, and baseball. I love to
follow all of them and play all of them. Soccer is my favorite sport. I love to play soccer, I have played for 10 years and 2 seasons each year, so for 20
seasons. I like to play left Forward, that is my favorite. I play in El Paso and so does Charlie and Wes. We all get along really well and it is fun to not
be the only Eureka kid there. I have known El Paso/Gridley kids for a long time but it is fun to have a few other Eureka kids there too. Charlie and
Wes each play midfield and they usually pass it up to me and then I cross it to Joey or Logan or Cole and Goal! (Or vise versa.) But me and Charlie
and Wes have became really really close friends along with all the kids on our team. I also love to watch soccer sometimes too. My favorite team is
Chelsea and then in the FIFA World CupI am usually for Brazil or America. Me and sometimes Caden and sometimes Dad will watch and I will be like
"WOW, what a beautiful touch," and they will be like, "Umm, ok." So, we do like to watch but mostly me. Basketball is my second favorite sport.
Me and our old neighbours and Caden used to love to go outside at our house and shoot, but then they moved away and we have no other kids to play
with. But a lot of times I will go over to Connell's house and we will have like a 1 on 1 game pretending

If you can imagine one thing and one thing only that can change a way a person feels, how they think, and how they live, what would that thing be?
For me I really couldn't answer that question, as a little kid who's only thought was to have fun, all I cared about was playing video games and
watching cartoons. One day, my cousins came over to my house asking if they could watch something on the TV, I said "sure," so they turned on the
TV and put on a documentary. At first I was disinterested and wanted to go back to my usual habits, but I stayed and watched, I realized thatthe
documentary contained the answer to my question and that answer was sports. Out of all the sports, basketball became my guidance, it spoke to me
in a way where it wasn't just an interest, but a window of discovering who I am, what I love, and what I want to become. In that window of time I
would watch every basketball game and practice my skills as a player. Watching NBA players give their hearts out to the game of basketball brought
me joy as well as the confidence and determination to play and improve my skills to be just like them. My favorite player was Kobe Bryant because
he would play every game at the highest level he could play at and he had a killer work ethic that a person would only dream of having. I would set
an alarm at 10 a.m. to wake up and start practicing because all I wanted was to be the best at something that means so much to me.
When I turned 10, my parents signed me up for a

My Favorite Sport Of Volleyball
We've all had to answer this question before, what's your favorite thing? We can answer that pretty easily because it's something that's special to us.
Whether it's playing or watching your favorite sport or having a favorite stuffed animal, it's something that we will always cherish. There are multiple
reasons why that favorite thing is important, and we will never forget them.
The rush of adrenaline you get right when your feet hit that court is like nothing else. That's why my favorite thing is the sport of volleyball. I have
played this sport from a young age so it has been all I have ever known. The sport is unique because it incorporates skills that you must practice over
and over to become perfect at. The team atmosphere is something I love about the sport. The feeling that the other five teammates on your side of the
net have your back. This sport is impossible to succeed at if only one player isn't committed to the whole team goal. That's why team–bonding comes
into play on and off the court. I remember having team dinners the night before every game. I would sit by my teammates talking about the game we
had tomorrow, while eating loads and loads of that ooey gooey mac and cheese. My team would also do secret–sister before games. I would pick
another player on my team to get me some quick snacks. I would then write her a note giving her encouragement for the game the next day. When I
read the note from my teammate it was the best feeling in the whole world knowing that my friend had confidence in me to play my best game.
Not only were the girls on my team an inspiration to me but also the coaches that sat on the sideline during every match, and every practice. My
coaches through my 9 years of volleyball have taught me an enormous amount of lessons. My coaches became mentors for the sport I love but also
for life. I was taught many lessons from my coaches over the years that could be used for later on. For example, when I was playing on my club
volleyball team at 12, I remember struggling to serve the ball over the net. My coach told me that I wasn't going to be perfect at that skill the first time
I tried it. It would take multiple practices in the gym to meet my goal. That was a lesson I

Why my Favorite Sport is Soccer
What is sport? Sport in as athletic activity requiring skills or prowess and often of a competitive nature. My favorite sport is soccer. It is played
by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played between two teams of
eleven players with a spherical ball on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the
opposing goal. In this essay i am going to write about the history of soccer, my favorite soccer club and my favorite soccer player who is my role
model. The old form of soccer used to allow many ill practices like kicking, punching, biting and gouging. The main aim was to carry the ball to a
target spot. People grew so fond of the game that they would throng the field all day long. Sometimes the competition grew fierce and masses got
so wild that there were frequent incidents of violence during the game. In 1815, a major development took place that made soccer popular in
Universities, Colleges and Schools. The popular English School and Eton College came forth with a set of rules, known as the Cambridge Rules.
Football was segregated into two groups; some colleges and schools opted for Rugby rules that allowed tripping, shin kicking and also carrying the
ball. These rules were exclusively prohibited as per the Cambridge rules. In October 1863, eleven representatives from London clubs and schools met
at the Freemason's Tavern to set up common fundamental rules to control the matches amongst themselves. The outcome of this meeting was the
formation of the Football Association. In December 1863, the Rugby Football and Association football finally split as the supporters of the Rugby
School rules walked out. Firmly establishing the foundation of soccer in 1869, the Football Association strictly banned any kind of handling of the
ball. When and where exactly did soccer start is a question that has no precise answer to it. Soccer also known as football was invented and most
influenced by England but most of the early innovation came from scotland. It was until 1872 when england played scotland at the very first
international game when the first revolution happened. In England

Tennis Is My Favorite Sport
People have always said that sports are so great for anyone who struggle with drama filled lives, anxiety, depression and many more problems like
this. They say this because sports occupies a portion of your time and and provide you with an escape you can't find anywhere else. When you're

experience, I couldn't agree more with those people.

Game day – Westfield
The team dressed up in our best dresses to school on this day. None of us knew much about Westfield, so my friends and I did some research. We
learned more about the school than we did whatever was being taught in that class. Westfield, a 3A school is located close to Indianapolis. Our
thoughts were 'they're a big city school, they're most likely very good' in other words, we knew we were already done for.
It was after school and we all made our way to the locker room to get ready, and prepare; actually meaning mess around. The atmosphere was like
always, fun and vibrant, you could instantly feel the energy as soon as you walk in. We changed into our uniforms, put on our tennis shoes and
talked about this unfamiliar school. None of us were too worried because of the fact that we were county champs, conference champs, sectional
champs and overall a good, hard team to beat. After a while our bus had arrived and we all exited the locker room and some of us stopped to fill up our
waters. Excited and jumpy we all made our way in and loud chatter soon filled the bus. If you were to get on the busses with us to away games, you'd
think we're all crazy; we're out of out seats, standing up

reason Soccer is the most popular game in the world because it is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries. One of the things I learned
from soccer, the game is not over till the whistle blows, meaning you must work hard and do not give up until the last moment. My favorite player
is Ronaldo, and one of his famous words is work hard in the dark and one day you may shine under the lights. Soccer is not just a game, it is a
passion, if you do not breath or dream soccer, then you are just wearing a jersey. Therefore, soccer is without any doubt in my mind the best sport
because it is fun, you work out and you shar exciting moments with friends. So, what are you waiting for? Go and play this great

Soccer As A Sport Essay
The most watched and played sport in the world. If you haven't heard of this popular and fun sport you've probably been living under a rock. This
fun and exciting sport involve skill the love for what you do and much more. If you haven't guessed it yet its soccer, obviously! Soccer doesn't just
come with the sport and game but with rivalries too between countries, states, teams, and even players. Not much is know about the origins of
soccer early evidence of soccer being played as a sport finds occurrence in China during the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC. In China, it was during the
Han dynasty that people dribbled leather balls by kicking it into a small net. The first recorded soccer match was played on Barnes common at

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico–United_States_soccer_rivalry. The first match was played on May 24, 1934, in Rome, Italy with the Untied
States beating Mexico 4–2 but now thanks to the new star players Mexico has been beating The Untied States quite often. To go even deeper into
rivalries one most common rivalry is between these two–star players named Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro who plays oforReal Madrid and
Portugal and Lionel Andres Messi who plays or Barcelona and Argentina. This rivalry started when they were both up against for the FIFA Ballon d'Or
for the year 2007 (a soccer award regarding the best player in the world) both Messi and Ronaldo are said to be the best player of the world in this
generation. In my opinion, I fairly disagree that Messi should have won this year FIFA Ballon d'Or. I was a Cr7 supporter since I was four and always
will be a Cr7 supporter Hala Madrid (a quote used for the famous soccer team that Cristiano plays on Real

Why Wrestling Is The Best Sport

  • 1. What Is The Best Sport Essay I think the best sport is wrestling even though It's probably the least fun sport in the world. I think it's the best sport because it's a great example of a team that is a brotherhood. I think it's the best sport because it is an individual sport and the person controls whether he wins or loses and there's nothing to blame your losses on but yourself. I think it's the best sport because if you want to achieve big things like being a state champ you have to work hard by yourself and there's no one but you to push you. I think wrestling is the best sport because it is a great example of a team that is a brotherhood, because it's an individual sport, and because it shows you what real hard work is. Wresting is the best sport because it's an example of a team that is a brotherhood. Wrestling teams aren't close like teams that are on the field together because only one person can be on the mat at one time. They are close in...show more content... Wrestling shows you what hard work is because you have long practices that last two to three hours, and you really don't want to be there but you have to work hard because you remember what your goals are. All of the weight cutting, long practices, days with no food, drilling after practice, dieting all week for only one day on the weekend and for what to get a little medal? It seems crazy to me but all of those days lead up to the big stage which is the state tournament and that's where you get to see if all the hard work you've put in is going to pay off of not. For some it's the greatest day of the year, for others they leave heart broken. Plus it sucks to think that the guy you could face in the state has worked harder than you. My coach told me that if you work hard enough everyday it will be hard to quit when the time comes for you to wrestle for a state title. I think wrestling is a true example of hard Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Volleyball Is My Favorite Sports The chorus of whistles, cheers and volleyball's pounding against the ground filled my ears as I watched my opponent dribble her routine against the floor. One, two, three hits against the floor, a spin in her hand, a deep breath in. She tosses the ball up in the air, and my body automatically moves in the direction her body is facing. I watch the ball hit her hand with solid contact, and how it moves to our side of the net; no spin. The ball sails toward the back end of the court, my feet move into the familiar drop step position. However, my feet don't move fast enough, I'm forced to take the ball outside my body. It skids across my arms, and moves further to the back line. Despite the obvious effort my teammates put in to reach the ball ...show more content... Once again, it had paid off; I had been named libero, the first starting freshman libero since Kendall. While it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, another one was loaded on. I had to fill Kendall Braate's shoes, despite the enormous footprints she had left. I had been doing my best to step in her wake when I snapped; one of my worst practices ever. Every pass was a shank, either skidding off my arms, or dropping straight to the ground. With every pass, I felt myself going into a deeper and deeper trance of utter desolation. After one more pass, I ran to my coach, politely asking if I could step in the locker room while I vainly blinked the tears out of my eyes. She nodded, and I ran to the locker room as fast as my feet could carry me. One step in, two, and then a tidal wave of tears crashed over me. All the stress, pressure and distress I had been feeling poured out of me in a loud, snotty mess. I cried, I cried, and I cried until I felt like all of the liquid had been drained out of my body. And then I had thought about practice again, and the rainstorm washed over again. Only did I stop when I heard the creaking sound of an opening door interrupt my deep breaths and sniffles. Kendall Braate walked in, an already sympathetic look across her face. She walked over to the bench underneath the lockers, and used her hand to beckon me over. I took a few unbalanced steps over, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. How Softball Is My Favorite Sport lauren kazanjian English 1 Level 2: blue expository essay 10 October 2015 Swing, hit, homerun! Softball is my favorite sport. I love the excitement it brings me every time i smack the ball out of the park. The game of softball was created on Thanksgiving day 1887, but did not become a NCAA approved sport until 1910. (http://www.athleticscholarships.net/history–of–softball.htm) One person that i look up to as a role model is Jennie Finch. She is one of the best softball players that has played in the olympics multiple times. Not only did she just play in the olympics, but won a gold medal in the 2004 olympics, and a silver medal in 2008. She started to love the sport when she was young at age. She recognized the sport when she was a bat girl for the bruins baseball team. From that moment on, she began to fall in love with the sport. Her first time playing softball was around the age of five. Three years later, she started to practice as a pitcher. She wanted to work her way up to be the best in softball. As years past, she reached her goal and before she knew it she started playing in the olympics! • 4. Why Is Soccer Important To Me All around me I could hear what people were saying and majority of my soccer teammates were talking about me, yet they could not know I could hear them. My heart sinks when they call me big ears grant and I always get depressed but at this moment I am used to it. I look different from people, well people look different from me.Only me and my bestfriend know my secret, the hopeless part is that my best friend died three years ago in a car accident.I refused to go to school for one week he was my only friend. Not even my parents know my secret that I can hear anything and everything. "Grant" Mrs. Terry called to me in her most annoyed voice ever. "Here" I replied. Looking around at the tall grass and long maple trees behind the white goalie net. More importantly I could also see the horror of the faces of my teammates because I am different from everyone else. There was always that one person that could never control their facial expressions. No one would wish for big ears like me but I am lucky to have big ears. Then soccer finally started just like usual five days every week, no break, no water, just ball to person.Soccer is my favorite sport because of how competitive it gets. There is some big people on my team that I am even frightened about.I am the usual size for a teenager boy over 125 pounds. "Everyone get into groups of four, we are going to be passing the soccer ball" Mrs Terry yelled very loud. • 5. My Favorite Sport Is Basketball Basketball is my favorite sport because I remember at a very young age of about three or four years old, in 1998, I first watched a National Basketball Association (NBA) game. I was watching when the Chicago Bulls was playing as I sat in the living room with my father and my uncles. I didn't know what they were talking about, but my eyes were glued to the television when I saw Michael Jordan dunked on two people. His performance gave me the motivation and I started playing basketball to make a career out of it. I wanted to move my family out of the poverty without any financial worries so I stared practicing each day. Every day as I was on the basketball court playing, I used to wake up early in the morning dribbled the basketball from my house to the basketball court and into the park. I was about fourteen years old about to go to high school so I was practicing to make the tryouts. It was the summer time like around July 2009 and at first, I wasn't good enough so, I told my mother that I needed a couch to work on my feet and left hand. She called one couch up and we had a one on one session to train me. After practicing, I went back to the courts and played a full court game with older and bigger guys. It was five on five and I was the youngest of them. I had a little jump shot, but I really had a back board shot. I was good with angles for a little man at that time, but I was only getting better. I started challenging grown men that were old enough to be my father. I lost some games, but won a lot plus my younger brother was always there with me. He used to stay on the sidelines watching because he couldn't play with me. Yet, he was too young at the time to...show more content... • 6. Racism In Football Essay My favorite sport is soccer that is also known as football in Europe and most of the parts of the world. It is hugely popular game in the world and this is why it is the most played game of the world and almost all the countries of the Europe have their own football leagues and the Barclays premier league of England is the most widely watched league of all, even in the countries that don't have a proper football setup and team like India and Pakistan. Why Soccer Is the Best Sport Essay L.A. essay Why soccer is the best sport By: Omar Soccer is the most played sport worldwide, many people love it and I'm one of them, it is my favorite sport because you can improve your skills with your feet, and get a lot of exercise. By writing this essay, I hope that I can provide more information about the sport and maybe convert the people who dislike the sport into fans. I have heard from some people that soccer is a boring sport, but the truth is, it's a very interesting sport with a lot of excitement in it. When playing soccer, ball control is critical, you need possession of the ball in order to keep it away from the other team players, and at times, it can be fun because if you have possession of the ball most of the game, ...show more content... If you play soccer, you have to practice in order to win, just like any other sport. When playing a game, you need to do moves that you have practiced, to get past the other teams defense and score a goal, and you also have to teach yourself mentally to think before you react. If you have the ball, you can't just kick it randomly and hope to score, you have to think of your other teammates and work with them to get the ball up the field. Another part of soccer that is very critical is passing. You have to pass the ball and develop new techniques and ways to control how the game is played. The last part is that you need to be fit in order to play soccer, because you are constantly on the field, and you don't get a lot of breaks, because the game never really stops except for halftime and when a foul is called or if you are waiting for the ball to come. When you're on defense, and playing a good team, you can be running around a ton, and you get tired really easily, especially when someone is on a breakaway, you will have to sprint down the field to try to stop them. If you play soccer a lot over a long time, you will develop good leg strength. Exercise is critical to the human body, and you will get a whole bunch of it by playing soccer. • 9. Soccer Is The Best Sport Essay By definition 'best' is something of the most excellent, effective, or desirable type or quality. If you went to kindergarten, you would know how to find out if a statement is a fact and opinion, and there is always a tell–tale word in the statement. There is a distinct difference between fact and opinion, so, everyone thinks their sport is the best of all. Even though "best" is solely based on your opinion, there is also another thing preventing there being a "Best" sport such as the bias all people hold, even if they are "neutral". So the true question is, "Can science prove it?" If you are even moderately educated, you know the difference between fact and opinion. The rule goes: If something says all, should, most, or best, it is an opinion. If those rules apply, the statement "All living things have brains, hearts, and lungs" is not true, and the statement is most surely not true. Same goes for the statement "All people should think that soccer is the best sport", it is definitely not true that all people should think that, and not all people want to think that soccer is the best sport. Although, there are many ways for me to be entertained, I prefer the enjoyment of sports. As a youngster I enjoyed playing backyard games. We rounded up neighborhood kids and played for fun. We played either football or basketball every weekend. These two sports are the favorites of those who play them around the world. While these sports are alike in many ways, they are very different in other aspects. When the offensive unit scores or turns the ball over, it goes to the sideline to await its turn to go back out on to the field, and the same rules apply for the defensive unit. Football scores can be in increments of one, two, three, and six points. They are scored by kicking a field goal after a touchdown, tackling for safety, kicking a field goal in regulation play, running the ball into the end zone. Football is played at a high speed with a lot of intensity. Basketball, on the other hand is played inside on a court. There are only five players per team on the court at a time. Players have to play both offense and defense simultaneously. The scoring in basketball is also different; points can be scored in increments of one, two and three, these are scored by shooting the ball into a hoop. Basketball is a game that is played by skilled people who can jump high, shoot well, and have great ball handling skills. Playing basketball requires you to have to have endurance, because running from offense to defense and back to offense requires you to be in great shape. Basketball is played at a medium pace and can be very exciting and nail biting. To sum it all up, both of these sports are equally exciting. They are both played with a lot enthusiasm and heart. My 3 main ones are Soccer, my favorite sport, basketball, and baseball. I love to follow all of them and play all of them. Soccer is my favorite sport. I love to play soccer, I have played for 10 years and 2 seasons each year, so for 20 seasons. I like to play left Forward, that is my favorite. I play in El Paso and so does Charlie and Wes. We all get along really well and it is fun to not be the only Eureka kid there. I have known El Paso/Gridley kids for a long time but it is fun to have a few other Eureka kids there too. Charlie and Wes each play midfield and they usually pass it up to me and then I cross it to Joey or Logan or Cole and Goal! (Or vise versa.) But me and Charlie and Wes have became really really close friends along with all the kids on our team. I also love to watch soccer sometimes too. My favorite team is Chelsea and then in the FIFA World CupI am usually for Brazil or America. Me and sometimes Caden and sometimes Dad will watch and I will be like "WOW, what a beautiful touch," and they will be like, "Umm, ok." So, we do like to watch but mostly me. Basketball is my second favorite sport. Me and our old neighbours and Caden used to love to go outside at our house and shoot, but then they moved away and we have no other kids to play with. But a lot of times I will go over to Connell's house and we will have like a 1 on 1 game pretending Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Favorite Sport Essay If you can imagine one thing and one thing only that can change a way a person feels, how they think, and how they live, what would that thing be? For me I really couldn't answer that question, as a little kid who's only thought was to have fun, all I cared about was playing video games and watching cartoons. One day, my cousins came over to my house asking if they could watch something on the TV, I said "sure," so they turned on the TV and put on a documentary. At first I was disinterested and wanted to go back to my usual habits, but I stayed and watched, I realized thatthe documentary contained the answer to my question and that answer was sports. Out of all the sports, basketball became my guidance, it spoke to me in a way where it wasn't just an interest, but a window of discovering who I am, what I love, and what I want to become. In that window of time I would watch every basketball game and practice my skills as a player. Watching NBA players give their hearts out to the game of basketball brought me joy as well as the confidence and determination to play and improve my skills to be just like them. My favorite player was Kobe Bryant because he would play every game at the highest level he could play at and he had a killer work ethic that a person would only dream of having. I would set an alarm at 10 a.m. to wake up and start practicing because all I wanted was to be the best at something that means so much to me. • 14. My Favorite Sport Of Volleyball We've all had to answer this question before, what's your favorite thing? We can answer that pretty easily because it's something that's special to us. Whether it's playing or watching your favorite sport or having a favorite stuffed animal, it's something that we will always cherish. There are multiple reasons why that favorite thing is important, and we will never forget them. The rush of adrenaline you get right when your feet hit that court is like nothing else. That's why my favorite thing is the sport of volleyball. I have played this sport from a young age so it has been all I have ever known. The sport is unique because it incorporates skills that you must practice over and over to become perfect at. The team atmosphere is something I love about the sport. The feeling that the other five teammates on your side of the net have your back. This sport is impossible to succeed at if only one player isn't committed to the whole team goal. That's why team–bonding comes into play on and off the court. I remember having team dinners the night before every game. I would sit by my teammates talking about the game we had tomorrow, while eating loads and loads of that ooey gooey mac and cheese. My team would also do secret–sister before games. I would pick another player on my team to get me some quick snacks. I would then write her a note giving her encouragement for the game the next day. When I read the note from my teammate it was the best feeling in the whole world knowing that my friend had confidence in me to play my best game. Not only were the girls on my team an inspiration to me but also the coaches that sat on the sideline during every match, and every practice. My coaches through my 9 years of volleyball have taught me an enormous amount of lessons. My coaches became mentors for the sport I love but also for life. I was taught many lessons from my coaches over the years that could be used for later on. For example, when I was playing on my club volleyball team at 12, I remember struggling to serve the ball over the net. My coach told me that I wasn't going to be perfect at that skill the first time I tried it. It would take multiple practices in the gym to meet my goal. That was a lesson I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Why my Favorite Sport is Soccer What is sport? Sport in as athletic activity requiring skills or prowess and often of a competitive nature. My favorite sport is soccer. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by getting the ball into the opposing goal. In this essay i am going to write about the history of soccer, my favorite soccer club and my favorite soccer player who is my role model. The old form of soccer used to allow many ill practices like kicking, punching, biting and gouging. The main aim was to carry the ball to a target spot. People grew so fond of the game that they would throng the field all day long. Sometimes the competition grew fierce and masses got so wild that there were frequent incidents of violence during the game. In 1815, a major development took place that made soccer popular in Universities, Colleges and Schools. The popular English School and Eton College came forth with a set of rules, known as the Cambridge Rules. Football was segregated into two groups; some colleges and schools opted for Rugby rules that allowed tripping, shin kicking and also carrying the ball. These rules were exclusively prohibited as per the Cambridge rules. In October 1863, eleven representatives from London clubs and schools met at the Freemason's Tavern to set up common fundamental rules to control the matches amongst themselves. The outcome of this meeting was the formation of the Football Association. In December 1863, the Rugby Football and Association football finally split as the supporters of the Rugby School rules walked out. Firmly establishing the foundation of soccer in 1869, the Football Association strictly banned any kind of handling of the ball. When and where exactly did soccer start is a question that has no precise answer to it. Soccer also known as football was invented and most influenced by England but most of the early innovation came from scotland. It was until 1872 when england played scotland at the very first international game when the first revolution happened. In England Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Westfield, a 3A school is located close to Indianapolis. Our thoughts were 'they're a big city school, they're most likely very good' in other words, we knew we were already done for. It was after school and we all made our way to the locker room to get ready, and prepare; actually meaning mess around. The atmosphere was like always, fun and vibrant, you could instantly feel the energy as soon as you walk in. We changed into our uniforms, put on our tennis shoes and talked about this unfamiliar school. None of us were too worried because of the fact that we were county champs, conference champs, sectional champs and overall a good, hard team to beat. After a while our bus had arrived and we all exited the locker room and some of us stopped to fill up our waters. Excited and jumpy we all made our way in and loud chatter soon filled the bus. I think I spent the majority of the run in a trance state just me staring at his feet which felt like ages when in reality it was only 2 minutes. I wasn't the first in my family to love running either. My mom used to be a track star when she was around my age in Mexico where she would participate in Mexico's cities and regional championships. She was a sprinter however while I am a long distance runner. It is through her that I believe my talent and my passion for running comes from. Although my mom has never been to one of my meets, I always keep her in mind when I run, sometimes even when my mind reaches that meditative phase.
