Wes Anderson Moonrise Kingdom Essay
In an article for The Atlantic titled "Wes Anderson's 'Moonrise Kingdom' Opens Cannes on a Sweet Note" (2012), Paris
–based film critic Jon Frosch
argues that the refreshing adolescent romance in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom displays an intimate side of the director that manages to
overcome the "dollhouse aesthetic" and pedantic cinematography of the 65th Cannes Film Festival opening film. By pairing brief narration of the film
with personal opinion, Frosch illustrates how his attitude towards Moonrise Kingdom transitions from skeptical during the initial scenes, to intrigued
when Anderson characterizes his two quirky protagonists, then to impressed when witnessing a revived take on the classic kiss, and finally to a
forfeiting acceptance upon realizing Anderson has delivered a uniquely eccentric yet heartwarming film. Frosch analyzes...show more content...
Ultimately, he invites both supporters and challengers of the scrupulously whimsical director to view the film through his paradoxically disagreeable
but impressed tone. Nevertheless, I believe Frosch's narrative critique of Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom is clouded by cynical pre–conception of both
the director and his craft, in turn leading to his scathing analysis. Though the saccharine title would lead readers to believe the article is an acclaim to a
tender director, Frosch immediately underscores his disinclination toward Anderson's aesthetic tastes through derisive diction and a bitter tone– the
same tastes which have been praised elsewhere by noted film critics like Manohla Dargis in the New York Times (2012) and Richard Brody in The
New Yorker (2012). In fact, the "deadpan dialogue" Frosch disparages is praised by Dargis. He also subtly expresses his dissatisfaction with one of
Anderson's previous films, The Royal

Food and Nutrition Essay
Proper nutrition is one of the most essential elements to being healthy and living a long life. People deal with food every day, and food has been a
part of life since the beginning of civilization. What we eat becomes our diet, and our diet plays a major role in deciding how healthy we are and
how well our body functions. Without proper diet, our body cannot carry out the functions it needs to perform. Most people have some common
knowledge on what is good and what is bad for the human body to consume. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains are some common items people think
of when they think of healthy foods. However, it is not enough just to know what foods are good for your body, it is also important to understand why

These include obesity, diabetes, and several heart conditions. Obesity is the term used for someone who qualifies as significantly overweight. A
BMI (Body Mass Index) records weight in relation to height. A BMI of 25 is overweight and a BMI of 30 is obese. Obesity is not a disease in its
self but it can lead to different health issues, some fatal. Obesity can be related to eighty percent of type two diabetes, seventy percent of
cardiovascular disease, thirty percent to gall bladder surgeries, and forty two percent to breast and colon cancer. Unfortunately, obesity rates in
people are rising rapidly. The United States alone had an obesity rate of twenty six percent in 2007. Some cases of obesity are gene related, but
most other cases are a result of improper dieting and exercise among the individual ("Why Is Proper Nutrition Important?", Case Western Reserve
University). Type II diabetes is another major effect from improper diet and nutrition. When someone is a type II diabetic, their body either produces
too little of an amount of insulin, or their body's cells ignore the insulin. Insulin is important in helping your body use sugar for Kavanaugh 3 energy.
When a person consumes food with sugar, the sugar is broken down into glucose. Glucose is used as an energy source for the body and is transported
throughout your blood into the cells by insulin. Without proper amounts of insulin, your body is unable to use the glucose as

being able to free write is one of the best ways to get started. After freewriting, comes the thesis statement which is the sentence or two that brings the
reader in and explains the focus of the paper to its entirety. Finally, is the vocabulary, which is the single most important part ofwriting paper because it
deals with being able to find that right word and to know the definition of that word and every other word in the paper.
When it comes to outlining the best thing to do is to create an outline, no matter how bad you are at it. A small outline is better than no outline, when it
comes to creating an outline, picture it as a skeleton that all your ideas hang from, such as the arm is your thesis and the conclusion is the head, limbs

she planned to sue him for breaking this promise. She also told him that she would never set foot in his store again; she would take all her business to

Rough Draft Process Analysis
When beginning to write an essay everyone has their own method of doing so. Some may like to brainstorm while others may prefer to go straight
into writing about their topic. I personally beginning every essay by collecting ideas about my topic before coordinating them into a type of diagram,
next I proceed to do my rough draft before revising over the paper and finally composing my final draft. The point of the writing process is to help
break everything down so ideas can be organized and everything can make perfect sense for not just the writer but also the reader.
Writing an essay can be difficult if a person does not know how or where to begin. I personally believe the first step of writing is to list down ideas
about the topic. After...show more content...
Proofreading and revising is a very crucial step in the writing process. If a person does not proofread then the essay they worked on may not make
sense and may overall confuse the reader. Using correct punctuation shows how sentences are supposed to be read. Once I have made sure all my
sentences are grammatically correct I then compose my final copy of the essay. Writing can be difficult if not done correctly. That is why there is a
writing process to follow. Using some type of way to group ideas together help coordinate how the essay will go. Then once the ideas are put together
the rough draft can be formed and edited. After everything has been writing accordantly the essay can then be turned in. Some may think the writing
process is just some more additional steps to getting their essay done but overall it makes the writing experience easier and more

1099 Research Paper
Tax Information for 1099 Tech Employees
A 1099 is an important document that must be considered when a company employees independent contractors throughout the year. This form is
similar to a W2, which reports wages earned by an employee. However, this is the form that is used for contractors that are not employed by the
employee and who had more than $600 in payments from the company over the course of the year.
One challenge that some employers have is in regard to tax information for 1099 tech employees. The challenge is that many of these employees are
listed as single person LLCs, which will give the appearance of being an employee. However, for the most part, these individuals will require a 1099
rather than a W2.
Independent Contractor vs. Employee

Typically, in these instances, an employer will have very little control over the actual work that is completed or the amount of money that is owed to
the individual.
What is Considered Independent Contractor Income?
When an independent contractor earns compensation for providing services or doing work and is classified as a self–employed individual rather than
an employee, this is considered to be independent contractor income. This type of income will listed on Form 1099–MISC, which is where other types
of income is listed.
When a 1099 is sent out, this means that the contractor was not considered an employee of the company they were working for. This also means that
federal taxes, social security and Medicare were not withheld from the payment made to the contractor.
Who Gets a 1099?
Naturally, there are different rules involved when it comes to handing out 1099s at the end of the year. Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a
1099 is required for some companies. In these instances, it is best to file a 1099 even if it is unclear whether one is

Forms of Government Essay
Many different forms of government have existed throughout civilization. Theocracy, dictatorships, democracy, and many others have all had periods
of time where they reigned as the government of choice. Arguments could be made in favor of each form of government. The key to finding the most
viable form of government is to consider this: which form of government provides the most stability for the state? The stability of the state is based
upon the foundation of the government. Shaky foundations lead to short–lived or miserable nations. Governments based upon religion, birthrights, or

The two dominant forms of government are democracy and authoritarianism. The two socio–economic policies are capitalism and communism.
Democracy is a form of government which dominates the western world. In democracy, every person is given equal input into matters of the state,
although this does happen to varying degrees. There exist many different types of democracy. Absolute or direct democracy occurs when each citizen
personally participates in all decision–making processes. This system is difficult to maintain due to the vast number of people and the necessity for all
people to be informed, logical, and educated when making many decisions. This form of democracy has not existed in significant sized populations.
Representative democracy is a type of government in which the people elect government officials to make decisions concerning the state. The two most
prevalent types of representative democracy are democratic republics and parliamentary democracies. In a democratic republic, such as the United
States or Canada, the people elect both their representatives in government and their head of state. In a parliamentary democracy, such as the United
Kingdom or Australia, the people elect their representatives and their representatives elect their head of state. Authoritarianism is a form of government
in which the leader or leaders have exclusive power concerning matters of the state. Although these

Sunset Boulevard Movie Essay
Sunset Boulevard is a movie that needs no introduction, but to keep to proper essay format, I will give it one anyways. This 1950 classic is a staple
in the book of Billy Wilder's film making genius. Directed and written in part by Wilder, this film not only utilized Billy's classic comedy–noir charm,
but paired him with the incredible John Seitz, and Franz Waxman. William Holden andGloria Swanson do a marvelous job at capturing the depth of
their characters, and embody the style of everything that makes 50's Hollywood incredible. But the combination of the three aforementioned men make
for a hard hitting behind the scenes team, one that near outshines the actors themselves.
This being the only film that Wilder made which focused on film–making as a topic in its fictional story arc; he made a few key decisions which made
this a great movie. Wilder chose to allow the setting to portray itself. While this may be an obvious choice for a movie about Hollywood, using real
locations keeps the setting alive. Wilder also had many actors and directors portray themselves. This creates a very organic setting,...show more

portions of the screen, and are shot on a downward angle, as if to make us literally look down upon them. As important as the use of angles with

Reflection About Technology
Technology, and its underlying aspects affect all of us as we go through the continuum of time. In essence, technology has always been with us and
will always will be. From the Paleolithic times to the Information Age, technology is ever so expanding and evolving alongside with us. Although, as
technology has progressed, we are now currently as a crossroad in our day and age, where the use of technology and science has divided us from the
histories of the past to the progression of the future. This distinction is created as a result of cultural and social norms clashing with the level of
technology that is present today. Technology has not only advanced due to scientific explorations and inquires, but at the current stage, we are ever so
seeing positive effects, but also at the cost of social and ethical dilemmas. First, we have to look at our history in order to see the future, and then
contrast and compare the negatives and positives of our current technology to emphasize the connection between the past and present. Technology is
always present, and ever so changing, and we can only support scientific explorations into technology as it will help us develop our culture, society, and
ultimately the survival of mankind just like our advancements in the past. To look into the future, we must first look into the our past. Throughout the
existence of our species, Homo Sapiens, we have created, forged, and developed technologies to enhance our species' survival. From the

Temperament And How Is It Formed?
Temperaments What is temperaments and how is it formed? Temperament is the way a person or in this matter a child or infant would behave or react
to an event or their environment (Cook & Cook, 2014). A temperament is formed by nature and nurture, all thought an infant is born with an "innate
tendency" the temperament will form as the infant parents reinforce this temperament (Cook & Cook, 2014). Some infants are born more sociable, and
others might be shy and even afraid of most things (Cook & Cook, 2014). Everyone needs to feel accepted, and children are not far behind, is important
they feel accepted even if their temperament "isn't easy to handle" or just a breeze temperament (Zerotothree, 2010). A child's temperament and

an easy temperament. The child is usually negative and will become frustrated very easily, any new situations will become a problem, and shows no
pattern when it comes to basic things like eating and sleeping (Cook & Cook, 2014). In another hand, a child that has a slow–to–warm–up
temperament can sometimes have a negative behavior to new things but if exposure is persistent a better or positive response can be developed

INTRODUCTION
Presidential and Parliamentary systems are the two possible forms of Government in a democracy. In England there is the Parliamentary system, and it
has worked so well over the years that it has become a model for a number of other countries. In the U.S.A., on the other hand, there is the Presidential
form of executive, and it has been working quite successfully in that country. These two forms of government have their own distinctive characteristics,

The US , constitution vests executive powers in the hands of one individual , that is the President of United States Of America. His powers are so
enormous, wide and overwhelming that he has been described as the, "foremost ruler of the world". The American President is not bound down by
any cabinet. He chooses his own cabinet, which is at best his personal team of advisers. " the president exercise largest amount of authority ever and
as wielded by any man in democracy". This system is called PRESIDENTIAL SYSYEM OF GOVERNMENT.
American President in respect of his powers is best compared to the Prime minister of the parliamentary democracies enjoying the support of a stable
majority in the legislature; he is rather head of the state and the responsible head of the government. In many other nations, there is a chief of state
whose duties are largely protocol in nature while the Prime Minister is the center of power. But the American President is the nation's principal
spokesman of both domestic and foreign policy.
History of presidential system of government
The presidential system has its origins in the monarchies of medieval Europe. Like a king, the president retains executive authority over the state and
government. The system took its modern form following the publication of "The Spirit of the Laws" in 1748 by French philosopher

  • 2. Wes Anderson Moonrise Kingdom Essay In an article for The Atlantic titled "Wes Anderson's 'Moonrise Kingdom' Opens Cannes on a Sweet Note" (2012), Paris –based film critic Jon Frosch argues that the refreshing adolescent romance in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom displays an intimate side of the director that manages to overcome the "dollhouse aesthetic" and pedantic cinematography of the 65th Cannes Film Festival opening film. By pairing brief narration of the film with personal opinion, Frosch illustrates how his attitude towards Moonrise Kingdom transitions from skeptical during the initial scenes, to intrigued when Anderson characterizes his two quirky protagonists, then to impressed when witnessing a revived take on the classic kiss, and finally to a forfeiting acceptance upon realizing Anderson has delivered a uniquely eccentric yet heartwarming film. Frosch analyzes...show more content... Ultimately, he invites both supporters and challengers of the scrupulously whimsical director to view the film through his paradoxically disagreeable but impressed tone. Nevertheless, I believe Frosch's narrative critique of Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom is clouded by cynical pre–conception of both the director and his craft, in turn leading to his scathing analysis. Though the saccharine title would lead readers to believe the article is an acclaim to a tender director, Frosch immediately underscores his disinclination toward Anderson's aesthetic tastes through derisive diction and a bitter tone– the same tastes which have been praised elsewhere by noted film critics like Manohla Dargis in the New York Times (2012) and Richard Brody in The New Yorker (2012). In fact, the "deadpan dialogue" Frosch disparages is praised by Dargis. He also subtly expresses his dissatisfaction with one of Anderson's previous films, The Royal Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Food and Nutrition Essay Proper nutrition is one of the most essential elements to being healthy and living a long life. People deal with food every day, and food has been a part of life since the beginning of civilization. What we eat becomes our diet, and our diet plays a major role in deciding how healthy we are and how well our body functions. Without proper diet, our body cannot carry out the functions it needs to perform. Most people have some common knowledge on what is good and what is bad for the human body to consume. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains are some common items people think of when they think of healthy foods. However, it is not enough just to know what foods are good for your body, it is also important to understand why certain foods are...show more content... These include obesity, diabetes, and several heart conditions. Obesity is the term used for someone who qualifies as significantly overweight. A BMI (Body Mass Index) records weight in relation to height. A BMI of 25 is overweight and a BMI of 30 is obese. Obesity is not a disease in its self but it can lead to different health issues, some fatal. Obesity can be related to eighty percent of type two diabetes, seventy percent of cardiovascular disease, thirty percent to gall bladder surgeries, and forty two percent to breast and colon cancer. Unfortunately, obesity rates in people are rising rapidly. The United States alone had an obesity rate of twenty six percent in 2007. Some cases of obesity are gene related, but most other cases are a result of improper dieting and exercise among the individual ("Why Is Proper Nutrition Important?", Case Western Reserve University). Type II diabetes is another major effect from improper diet and nutrition. When someone is a type II diabetic, their body either produces too little of an amount of insulin, or their body's cells ignore the insulin. Insulin is important in helping your body use sugar for Kavanaugh 3 energy. When a person consumes food with sugar, the sugar is broken down into glucose. Glucose is used as an energy source for the body and is transported throughout your blood into the cells by insulin. Without proper amounts of insulin, your body is unable to use the glucose as Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Some may like to brainstorm while others may prefer to go straight into writing about their topic. I personally beginning every essay by collecting ideas about my topic before coordinating them into a type of diagram, next I proceed to do my rough draft before revising over the paper and finally composing my final draft. The point of the writing process is to help break everything down so ideas can be organized and everything can make perfect sense for not just the writer but also the reader. One challenge that some employers have is in regard to tax information for 1099 tech employees. The challenge is that many of these employees are listed as single person LLCs, which will give the appearance of being an employee. This type of income will listed on Form 1099–MISC, which is where other types of income is listed. When a 1099 is sent out, this means that the contractor was not considered an employee of the company they were working for. This also means that federal taxes, social security and Medicare were not withheld from the payment made to the contractor. Who Gets a 1099? Naturally, there are different rules involved when it comes to handing out 1099s at the end of the year. Sometimes it is difficult to determine if a 1099 is required for some companies. This 1950 classic is a staple in the book of Billy Wilder's film making genius. Directed and written in part by Wilder, this film not only utilized Billy's classic comedy–noir charm, but paired him with the incredible John Seitz, and Franz Waxman. William Holden andGloria Swanson do a marvelous job at capturing the depth of their characters, and embody the style of everything that makes 50's Hollywood incredible. But the combination of the three aforementioned men make for a hard hitting behind the scenes team, one that near outshines the actors themselves. This being the only film that Wilder made which focused on film–making as a topic in its fictional story arc; he made a few key decisions which made this a great movie. Wilder chose to allow the setting to portray itself. While this may be an obvious choice for a movie about Hollywood, using real locations keeps the setting alive. Wilder also had many actors and directors portray themselves. This creates a very organic setting,...show more content...
