This week's discussion about fan filming is very similar to last weeks discussion about remixing. Both of these discussion questions ask us to
identify who is the author of music remixes and fan films. For this weeks discussion, I will focus more on fan filming. Fan filming is a film
created by fans who were inspired by a specific television program or movie. This is similar to remixing for the reason that individuals are taking an
original piece of work and adding their own thoughts and ideas to give it their own personal spin. By doing this, it allows other people to create an

Even though all of these movies are formed from the same inspirational source, different people have added their own ideas to make it a completely
different film. With that being said, similar to my thoughts about who is the author in terms of music, I believe that the fan filmmaker is the author
of their own work. Just like writing a paper, it is not plagiarism to write an essay where information is from another source if it is cited and revised to
your own words. This is the same concept for fan films. The "people formerly known as the audience" from the original films, now play a role in
recreating the films or by watching the remakes of the original film through the fan films. These fan films allow the audience to participate and be
apart of the original film. Individuals can now express their opinions and ideas that they think could make the original film better. This allows for more

Many of the morals in a comedy movie can relate to us; however, it usually is a moral that is just useless facts that we don't need in our daily life.
In the movie, Me, Myself, and Irene is an example of a moral that we can relate to but really don't need. In the beginning of the movie the character
has found the love of his life, they get married and live a happy life until his wife finds another guy and they get divorced. At the end of the movie
the main character finds another girl he really likes and was going to let her walk out of his life, until he realizes he is not going to be happy without
her and stops her from leaving. The moral in the movie was that you shouldn't let a loved one go by without telling that person your feelings. We can
relate to this but it wont be of value in our daily life.
Comedy movies can educate us and make us change into a different person as well. It allows us to look at things in a new light and possibly expand
your horizon to become a more optimistic person. The term optimistic means a person who has a positive outlook in life. Not many comedies has this
characteristic in their movies; however, one movie that does is Dumb and dumber. Both the characters were stupid, so they took something a person
would say and take it very literally.

Informative Movies Essay
As a digital Cinema student, I have learned a lot about the different types of movies that are created every year and what makes them successful, and
unsuccessful. With this bit of insight, I have discovered that I take a strong interest and drive for documentary films. I find them to be meaningful,

My Favorite Movie Essay
As 2016 draws to its inevitable close, it's time for me to look back on the (literally) hundreds of movies I've seen this year and decide which ten were
my absolute favorites. A heady task, I know– but someone who calls himself "The Black Saint" has gotta do it. And since I'm the only person around
here in the depths of Gruesome Manor that answers to that name, I guess that task falls to me.
But before I get to the final ten, I'd like to give shout outs to some films that I enjoyed out of the horror genre. Films like Deadpool, which took the
whole superhero genre and freshened it in a most ribald, hilarious and unexpected way. Captain America: Civil War is pretty much my favorite
superhero movie so far, I loved its intrigue, action, and flat out incredible battle scenes. Having the Black Panther and Spider–Man in the mix didn't
hurt any either. Marvel films went 3 for 3 this year with the release of Doctor Strange, which (in IMAX 3D) was the first superhero film to actually
make me feel like I was in another dimension. A real experience to witness in the IMAX format.
Getting back to the horror genre, Green Room was one of the most harrowing films of the year for sure, with scenes of violence that still make me

War from the Beginning War films have been around for quite some time. They have many different aspects to them. Each film has a little bit different
view, depending on what the director wants the audience to get out of the movie. Some target the importance of how horrific and heart breaking war
was, while others were used to inspire their country to support their troops. There are films though that go straight to the point of war and show all of
the intense combat, the pain and suffering the soldiers did for their country, and the brutality of what countries did to prisoners in concentration camps.

People could see what was happening at the war, and realize what their soldiers were going through. These films were used mostly as a recruitment
use, and as way to make the people angry towards the enemy, suggesting that heroic American involvement would bring home victory. We could

Billy then goes out to his paper round we see that his bike has been taken by Jud. We have enough information to know that Jud is a bully and that
he cares not for any brotherly bond that they might have. This is further used by Loach to show hate and despair. So Billy now has to run to the
shop. This is a good chance for the director to show the viewer the environment that Billy lives in; this scene really gives 'a sense of place'. The

Every person can relate to being asked the question: "What's your favorite movie?". Most of the time this is a very tricky question for people to

In all forms of art there is a natural inclination to explore and experiment within the medium. The resulting methods and formats can be seen as
alternatives and additions to existing ones. I do not believe that, in terms of technical decisions, there is a superior style of film making that the
industry progresses to on a set path. I agree with Arnheim's statement that "there is no objection to the complete film as an alternative to the stage" if
it exists with the other types of films (Arhheim, 186). In some cases advances in method and technique are used to fix the problems of technological
limitations. In other cases these advances provide alternatives. The introduction of color is described by the latter. Color was introduced as an
alternative to black and white movies but never completely replaced them and didn't stop the use of black and white as an effective technique in
modern cinema.

If the composer puts action music in a thrilling scene; by logic, it would be wrong. The audience would not feel the punch of the scene. That is why
there must be an emotion linked to the melody, so that the music reaches the deepest sensations. While well–crafted sound design and sound effects are
so very necessary in the creation of a film, music touches the emotion, the psyche, and the things you cannot see. Sound design and effects don't do this

It shows robots that act like humans, performed by real actors. I'm going to criticize them because in my opinion they exercise pernicious influence
upon the public. In brief, The Bicentennial Man (BM) tells the story of a robot that lasts for about 200 years. His creator and his descendants change
this robot, in order to acquire more and more human features. In the beginning he uses a kind of armor, looking like a machine; during the night he
connects a plug into the electric outlet to recharge his batteries. Gradually, his appearance becomes more and more humane, to a point where he acts as
any normal human, with thinking, feeling and willing, that is, the robot would have passed the total turning test. It is not clear if it would have passed
