Personal Experience Of Adolescence
1. Personal Experience Of Adolescence
Adolescence is a critical period in an individual's life because the experiences during that time can have lasting effects on the individual and who
they are as an adult. In retrospect, I can now see how two events in my life have helped mold me into who I am today. The first event was when I
decided to serve as an officer for Future Farmers of America (FFA) throughout high school and the second is when I went on a pioneer trek for a
youth conference with my home stake. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how serving as an FFA officer affected me under the cognitive and
language/communication domains and how attending a pioneer trek affected me under the cultural awareness and spiritual domains.

I found that I personally memorize better through repetition. Today I use the same skills when I memorize information for a class presentation or test.
A third way that serving as an FFA officer helped me in the cognitive domain is that I learned time management skills. I was extremely busy in
high school with my officer responsibilities. I quickly learned that if I did not learn how to manage my time, I would fall behind in my other
responsibilities. I chose to write out my daily schedule each night for the next day. This helped me organize my time enough so that I could
accomplish everything I needed to. Today I still plan the night before busy days to ensure that all of my responsibilities get completed. The last
outcome in the cognitive domain is that I learned more about agriculture. I was not a typical FFA student because I did not have an agricultural
background. At many of the activities I planned, we had guest speakers come and talk to the group about various agricultural topics such as animal
products and the newest farming technology. Now anytime I eat, I have a greater understanding of where my food came from and the process it went
through to get to me.
Language/Communication:
Being a part of an FFA officer team helped me learn how to communicate as a team. The projects and activities we planned as a team could only be

2. An Experience that changed my Life
Life is full of learning and it is mostly due to our daily life experiences. These experiences are mostly based on our surrounding environment from
where we learn new things every day. But all these experiences are a result of our keen observations out of daily routines. It is very important to note
that life also provides us with some chances to experience new people or places that are indeed out of the ordinary. That is thetime we indeed learn new
and unique things, hence these are unique experiences of our life which are remembered by us throughout our life span. I have visited USA and this
was indeed a life time experience. Going through new and strikingly important things really made me filled up with pleasure. It was indeed very joyful
and marvelous experience. I am very happy and expecting many more things and unique experience coming my way and making me enjoy new and
exciting things.
USA is a place which is full of new experiences that is what makes it even more exciting due to all kinds of diversity in food in recreation and work;
hence everything here is much more diverse than a normal place available for recreation anywhere in the world. This was the first time in my life

always have the chance to meet many diverse people belonging to different cultures, traditions and lifestyles. So, one can enjoy a small world here in
USA. I met people from different parts of the AsiaâPacific region, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Africa, Europe, Russia and Indonesia. Many of them
were my online friends and we really enjoyed meeting each other in the practical world rather than the virtual world for the very first

3. Descriptive Essay About Personal Experience
Fear, guilt, happiness, and anger are emotions which individuals can be struck with at the most unexpected time, but as human beings, we have
experienced all of these feelings a plethora of times over the course of life. Emotions and feelings are the results of one's actions that lead to situations.
The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and ultimately trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you
with a valuable lesson.

My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my allâtime favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty

my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope
buried deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I
inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on
the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I
approached my mom and asked her by faking a naive look,

thesis and then takes even longer to figure out what I should write to support it in a way that makes sense. Then, attempting to find a way to organize
my ideas and put them together in cohesive paragraphs seems like an impossible task in the moment. It is not uncommon for me to get flustered and

a little bit of some confidence and patience, I could learn to enjoy myself when I write. I think it's a great outlet for some but just hasn't ever really
been something that made me feel relaxed or stressâfree. Writing just clouds my head with confusion and anxiety. I guess I can blame this on the fact
that all my previous experiences writing has been academic and in a timeârestricted environment. However, I am excited to see how my impression of
writing changes throughout my college career now that I am not confined to a fortyâminute window. I know that a bad habit I seem to have developed

encounters over the span of my school year, a lot of them, I would state was more all through my high school years. A lot of my learning

6. Personal Experience: College Life
College was very much a paradox for me. College was the most challenging experiences in my life, and yet one of the best experiences I have ever
had. During my undergraduate years, I met new people, took exciting courses, and learned to live without the daily guidance of my parents. And
most of all, I was able to learn more about myself. After my first year, the pressure of living on campus, friends, and classes began to take a toll on
me. I began to fall apart. I worked two jobs to support myself, knowing that I could not ask my parents frequently for money due to their own
financial burdens at home. I had to constantly deal with the upheaval from my relationships with roommates, friends, and family. I began dealing
with anxiety, and my confidence level dropped considerably. My schoolwork began to suffer, and I began to withdraw from my friends and
family. There were times when I cried almost every day and felt as though I could not carry on. The hardest part of all of this was putting on a
faЧade for the people around me as though everything was perfectly okay. I still wanted people to see my as the happy, smiling person that was
always in a good mood. Seeing that my grades had plummeted and realizing that I was going through a depressed time in my life, made me take a
stand to make changes in my life. I knew I could not sit around dwelling in my despair while life passed me by. I am a firm believer in the phrase, "if

the times that I had struggled in my life. I remembered struggling in basketball, school, and everyday life. As I thought about them, I realized that I got
through them and benefitted from the experiences. Pushing myself to my limits, looking for ways to get better, and refusing to quit had produced some

time coming up with what to write as my crisis for this assignment because when I hear the word crisis, the first thing that comes to mind is that
crisis is a very severe event such as a war or natural disaster. As I read more in depth about the concept of crisis, I found that it does not have to be

difficult time in my life. I felt alone and out of place because I did not have friends and when I did, I could not understand or make a conversation

feel a loss of internal control causing frustration, fear and anger. This stage is most relevant to my experience because I felt frustrated and a loss of
internal control. What caused this crisis was me moving to Canada and not knowing the culture or English. I would not have experienced the crisis if

grandmother's death was a very heartbreaking experience. Till this day my family and I still miss her dearly but positive thinking is helping us
deal with the situation. Some people can't image their life without their sight but my grandmother became adjusted to this limitation fairly quickly
and tried not to let it have a huge effect on her. She was always very positive and always in a cheerful mood. One thing that made this possible was
religion. My grandmother was a very religious person and this is what helped her get through each day. According to the textbook, research has been
relatively consistent in finding that greater religiousness is significantly related to better mental health and a higher subjective well being. People
who are more religious in their behavior show better emotional well being and lower rates of delinquency, drug abuse, alcoholism, and other social
problems (Donahue & Benson 1995). This is the reason why I believe my grandmother was able to cope with her limitations and still live a healthy,
positive lifestyle. Religion also helped my family and I cope with her death. There are sometimes situations

Well now I'm going to tell you about my personal experience about this exciting moment. To begin with, it all started with my coach giving us a

their 40 man roster versus our 12 man roster. We left nervous when we saw them because of the player difference. The Redskin players laughed
when they saw us and we didn't take that politely. So after we got checked for books we exercised and then headed onto the field. Nevertheless, I

However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I named this man Frank and created a story for him
when another man caught my eye. It was his coat. It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked

The class I could see wasn't very enthusiastic about my added presence in their classroom. I debated on the technique I would use to gain their trust

15. My Personal Experience Through Art
Art is such a powerful mechanism in terms of expression. Personally I tend to channel my emotions into my art to allow for an honest and
thoughtâprovoking image. Emotion and expression is the basis of art as mentioned in the above quote which I think beautifully sums up the
foundation of all artworks. Personal experience is also beneficial to the artists and I can identify with this. By personifying my personal experiences
through art I am able to express myself in a unique way as well as use it as a form of venting. This is when you can see and feel the raw emotion
through the work of the artist. That is why personal experience is so important, you can identify with the fear they could have felt through a certain
experience or event. An artist who I think has fully lived up to this is Frida Kahlo. Kahlo was a surrealist artist who expressed herself through art. She
went through tons of emotional suffering with her husband cheating on her with her sister as well as physical suffering in which she spent several
months in hospital after a fatal bus accident. Being put through so much emotional toll she channeled these emotions through art. We can therefore
identify with the suffering she experienced through her lifetime. Her images are confrontational conversely to my images that are subtler. I was
therefore inspired by her to be more upfront and provoking with my art through symbolism of suffering.
Similarly, I wanted to express my inner emotions and make myself vulnerable

16. Intro to Psychology, Personal Experience
In Psychology 101 we learned that research methods are used in order to understand our mental and behavioral processes by making observations in a
systematic way, following strict rules of evidence and thinking critically about that evidence. This scientific research is based on theories (tentative
explanations of observations in science), hypotheses (predictions based on a theory) and replication (testing a hypothesis in more than one study).
Some of the different research methods are firstly, descriptive studies. Descriptive studies are studies that use survey methods, naturalistic observation
and clinical methods. Another research method is correlational studies. Correlational studies are studies that help one to determine if a relationship
exists between two or more variables and if so it tells one how strongly those two variables relate to one another. With in correlational studies one can
have positive correlation (as one variable increases or decreases so does the other), negative correlation (variables go in opposite directions) or zero
correlation (no relationship between the variables). Another research method is formal experiments. Formal experiments are studies that allow us to
draw conclusions about how one variable may cause or have an effect on another variable. With in formal experiments there are four elements, which
are the independent variable (variable that is manipulated or controlled), the dependent variable (variable that is measured), the experimental

Although we've all experienced any degree of disappointments in our lives, there are a select few that tend to stick with us. They act as assets in
our lives, tools to use help us grow. The way a person deals with disappointment speaks volume about who someone is. Personally, I am the kind of
person who likes to have constants in my life; commodities that won't change and those that I can depend on when everything else is unstable. When
I was in my second year of middle school, one of my biggest constants was my band director, Ms. Palmer. The way my school district operated, all

This shattered all confidence I had for going to high school, all hope for comfort I previously had. All of a sudden, my main constant dissolved.
The only thing that I had going for me, the safety net in my life ceased to provide comfort. From this event, I feel that I learned a great deal about
how I personally coped with disappointment and major changes in my life. After tears had been shed and the questions were answered, I had an
opportunity to develop and to mature from this. After adequate contemplation, I realized that it wasn't the best idea to depend on other people so
deeply. In my youth, I had been raised and taught how to be independent and to care for myself, making sure that I could give myself all I needed to
become successful. This loss of someone turned out to be invaluably important in my life and further reinforced my idea that the only person you
should depend on is yourself. Though this sounds grim, I am able to attribute much of my success to my personal independence. I've learned how to
set goals for myself, how to motivate myself to try and rise above negative situations and develop from them. Ms. Palmer leaving sparked my first
internal revision that has thus led to a personal reflection resulting in the mindset I possess now. Several years later, I have the ability to reflect upon
myself in a more timely and constructive manner. Looking at situations like these in a useful light, disappointments are a fantastic

occurring. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type of person who likes having these events happening, but I do like some excitement. I, Aiden Sartore
will make a change in my life and make it the best. Muhahaha! A sudden burst came into my room. "Hey Aiden, can you be more quiet, I have some of
my friends over for some drinks!" "How about you knock first before you start rampaging into my room Danny!" "I can do whatever I want and besides
are you still dreaming about your little fantasies?"" Just mind your own business will ya?" I looked at the clock, it was around six pm. I grabbed my
bag and started walking towards the door. "And where are you going?" "I'm going to the study hall so I won't be interrupted by your ruckus." I opened
the door and slammed it with anger. Danny has always been a bother ever since I was forced to share a dorm room with him. Just looking at him made
him annoying because of way slicks back his brown greasy hair and the way he slurs his word just to act cool. We were like oil and water, we don't mix
very well.
