CURRENT AFFAIRS
The United States Democratic primaries are
scheduled for next year and Indian Americans,
the second-largest immigrant group, are most
likely to support former vice president Joe Biden,
according to the latest survey.
Most voters of the Asian American and Pacific
Islander (AAPI) communities, perceived Biden
as having the best chance of winning against
President Donald Trump, the report found.
The survey also assessed satisfaction among
three AAPI candidates - Senator Kamala Harris,
Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and Andrew
Yang. Harris is the first Indian origin senator in
the United States while Gabbard is the first Hindu
running for U.S. presidency.
There was a three-way tie among Biden, Senator
Bernie Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren
among the AAPI voters in the U.S. Indian
descent voters are likeliest without a doubt to
support Biden, AAPI Victory Fund said in a
statement on Wednesday.
However, Chinese descent voters were
the likeliest to be uncertain and least
likely to support Biden. Filipino descent
voters supported either Biden or Warren,
the statement said.
AAPI voters were most keen about
Harris and Yang - roughly 55 percent
would be satisfied with these two, and
15-20 percent unsatisfied. The two
candidates do not have a significant
difference in numbers among most
individual AAPI groups. Yang looks
much better with younger voters while
Harris among older voters, the report
said.
Conducted by Change Research and
sponsored by Investingin.us and the
AAPI Victory Fund, the poll was released
on Sunday in connection to the first-ever
AAPI Democratic Presidential Forum
held in Costa Mesa, California.
The research found that AAPI voters are
roughly aligned with other Democratic
primary voters on their presidential
preferences, their choices are being
guided by concerns that are unique to
their communities.
The AAPI voters feel direct threats from
white nationalism, racial and religious
profiling, and are even more focused
than other Democratic primary voters on
issues like education and preventing gun
violence, according to the research.
The 76-year-old Biden is seeking the
presidency for the third time.

7 Tips To Stay Relaxed
For A Healthy Mind!
Take baby steps to attain a relaxed mind
and sustain mental peace
Do you realize what jeopardy is it to have a disturbed
mind? When you are not relaxed you let your mind and
body go through strain either because
of your uncontrollable anger or
accumulated fear.
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
Is it worth putting yourself through
stress and keeping peace miles
away from you? Why don’t you
give your emotions and mind a
break and deal with it in ease?
No matter how much we make
up our mind to stay relaxed, yet,
we forget how precious it is to be
peaceful and stay calm.
It is no doubt a tedious task for
most of us to keep the dustbin
mind relaxed. But what happens
is when we end up troubling the
hormones it has a reverse effect
on us and sort of impacts all the
other activities.
Why Is It Essential To Stay
Relaxed?
Take a look at the points below
and understand the good in staying
relaxed
1) You have a healthy body and

keep your mind balanced in bad
times.
3) You get a grip over handling stress
in a way that you stop feeling anxious

10) You are a happier person.
11) There is a beautiful charm on your

Doable Tips To Stay Relaxed For A
Healthy Mind
Learning how to stay relaxed doesn’t
mean that you don’t have room to
express your emotions or suppress
them within you.
It just means that you learn how to
channelize your stress in the right
manner and at one point learn how to
face all your negative emotions with
ease. That’s what is being relaxed, and,
if you want to get there you need to add
activities and practices in order to keep
calm and stay happy.
Take a look at everything you should
do to stay relaxed
No 1 - Begin To Exercise
Exercising is good because along with
burning calories you make your mind
feel light as well. If you have a light mind
it means you are relaxed.
Pick up any form of workout that
interests you such as running in the park,
enrolling for a dance class or hitting
the gym can be useful to you. Physical
workout is a must to stay diverted from
your routine and get to spend better time
with your body.
All in all, it is not that you are motivating
your mind about how exercising
can help you stay relaxed, but, your
hormones play their role. The cortisol
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
and adrenaline hormones go down,
whereas, the endorphin hormones
shoot up.
No 2 - Master Breathing
Techniques
Breathing in and out might seem like
a duck soup and it’s hard to believe
that it can help you stay relaxed. Isn’t
it? Yes, it does work a way because
through this process you are sending
messages to your brain to stay calm
and you are giving room for your
nerves to calm down.
There is a breathing technique known
as the ‘478 technique’. This technique
is nothing but completely exhaling
from your mouth and taking a deep
breath through your nose by holding it
for a few seconds and continuing this
process once in the morning and before
you go to bed.
Breathing techniques have the ability
to keep your mind relaxed and this is
possible only when you continue this
practice regularly.
No 3 - Sit Still Within Nature
Would you mind keeping your phone,
laptop and household work aside for
about ten minutes everyday? You will
notice how wonderful it will make you
feel.
You can perhaps wake up every
morning and take a stroll around your
home or sit in the open to hear the
sound of birds, watch the blue sky, feel
the breezy environment and look at how
trees sway in different directions.
This will lighten your mind and make
you want to be within nature every day.
Nature gives you a better perspective
to life and it helps you realize that
stress, anger or pain is not going to be
permanent and you should not stress
over it but just flow with the flow.
No 4 - Self-Motivation Is The Key
It is a blessing to have good people
around you who can guide and motivate
you whenever you go through stress.
That said, have you ever noticed how
much it helps when you do a positive
and motivating self-talk with yourself?
It ends up that you stay motivated
for longer when you give yourself the
positive push.
Whenever you are in a tough spot and

forget to stay calm and relaxed just say
the following things to yourself and see
how it will help you maintain good mental
health
> Today is an awesome day and I don’t
want to stay relaxed.
> The world is not going to come to an
end, I will work a way and resolve my
issues instead of being stressed.
> I am going to gain nothing being
stressed,I rather relax and let things flow
No 5 - Express Everything In Your
Mind
It is always healthy to let out what you
want to say or feel if is taking away your
peace of mind or for that matter if it just
helps with making you feel relaxed.
If you want to keep calm, it is important
that you talk about it to someone you
are close to or write it down. Choose a
way that is comfortable for you so that
you can stay 100% relaxed.
Having said, if you are sharing your
heart out with people you are close to,
its always good to hear them out and
take their opinions into account.
At the same time keep in mind that it
is you who has to analyze and decide
upon what to do. Never get influenced
with opinions.
No 6 - Keep Away From Bad Vibes
Anything rotten is bad for your health.
Metaphorically, it means that you
should keep away from every negative
thought and person who makes you
feel negative. It is as easy as just
disconnecting.
Your company and vibes play a crucial
role in your mental well-being. If you
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
are surrounded by negative people it will
be tough for you to stay relaxed because
you will either get to hear unpleasant
things or you would end up talking bad
which will not let you stay relaxed.
Thus, an easy way to stay relaxed is
to simply keep aside everything and
everyone who give you uncomfortable
vibes.
No 7 - Manage Your Time Well
When you manage your time and tasks
well you will never be worried, isn’t it? It
is easier said than done. If we could be
strict with ourselves there would be a real
difference in the way we live. It’s never too
late.
How to do it effectively?
> Have an organized plan
> Follow what you decide upon
> Prioritize your tasks
> Avoid procrastination
> Don’t waste your time on
unproductive tasks
All in all, when you learn how to
manage your time well you will, you
will never be in stress and you can
always keep a balanced an relaxed
mind.
In the end you need to clearly
understand that being stressed is
natural and it is not practically possible
to always stay relaxed.
However, one must do little things that
can help with being relaxed such as a
good workout, expressing stress and
walking away from everything that can
be a band influence on the mind.
Stay Relaxed And Kick Out Stress!

DONALD TRUMP AND NARENDRA MODI’S
MEET ON SIDELINES OF G7 SUMMIT
United States President Donald Trump and India Prime Minister
Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting on August 26 on the
sidelines of the G7 summit in France.
Backing off from his earlier statements to
mediate between India and Pakistan, President
Trump agreed that Kashmir is a “bilateral issue”
and he supported when Prime Minister Modi
said India doesn’t “want to trouble any third
country”.
Both PM Modi and President Trump said
India and Pakistan should resolve the issues
bilaterally.
“We spoke last night about Kashmir, Prime
Minister [Modi] feels he has it under control.
They speak with Pakistan and I’m sure that
they will be able to do something that will
be very good,” said Trump. Sitting beside
the US President, PM Modi, while reiterating
India’s stance on Kashmir, said: “All the issues
between India and Pakistan are of bilateral,
and we don’t want to trouble any third country.
We can discuss and resolve these issues
bilaterally.”
After the abrogation of Article 370, which
provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir,
this was the first official meeting between both
the leaders.
The move to revoke special status to Jammu
and Kashmir has been fiercely criticized by
WORLD NEWS

Pakistan. “India and Pakistan
were together before 1947
and I’m confident that we can
discuss our problems and
solve them together,” PM
Modi said, adding the two
nations should come together
to combat poverty and for the
well being of the people.
“When I called Prime Minister
Khan after the elections, I told
him that Pakistan has to fight
against poverty, India has to
also fight against it. Pakistan
has to fight against illiteracy
and disease, and India has to
also fight against them...I told
him we should work together
for the welfare of our people,”
Modi said.
Donald Trump said he has a
very good relationship with
“both the gentlemen (Modi
and Khan)”. “I think they
can do it (resolve the issue)
themselves,” said Trump.
Saying India’s decision on
Kashmir a “historic blunder”,
Pakistan’s Prime Minister
Imran Khan said “if there is
a war, then the world should
remember that both India and
Pakistan are nuclear powers.
And in case of war, no one
will win, but the world will be
responsible as the effects of
war will be felt by everyone”.
While India has said nuclear
war cry is Pakistan’s
“standard” plan of action. “It
is standard Paksitani tactic.
What the Pakistanis have
failed to do is translate this
engagement into mediation.
There is a fundamental
distinction between
engagement and mediation
and the latter is what Pakistan
has always failed to achieve,”
Vivek Katju, former secretary,
the Ministry of External
Affairs, said.
In reference to Pakistan
bringing to focus the issue of
Kashmir on the international
forums, experts say that
the country would never
be successful in doing so.
According to experts, while
the Trump Administration is
transactional, and it needs
Pakistan, it also needs India
on the economic and strategic
sphere. “There is never going
to be mediation in Kashmir
whether Trump says it or not.
That is the reality...” Christine
Fair, Strategic Affairs Expert,
said.
Apart from serious talks, the
two leaders also shared a
laugh while addressing media
during the meeting. While
Trump obviously addressed
media in English, Prime
Minister Modi addressed in
Hindi which was translated
into English for the gathering.
During the address, PM Modi
in between said in Hindi,
“Mujhe lagta hai hum dono
ko baat karne dijiye, hum
dono baat karte rahenge.
Jab zarurat padegi hum apko
zaroor jaankari pohchaenge [I
think you should let the two of
us talk, we will keep talking.
When the need arises, we
will apprise of you what
transpired].”
Donald Trump responded
saying: “He actually speaks
very good English, he just
doesn’t want to talk right
now!”
Trump’s comment sent both
Trump and PM Modi into
laughter as well as people
there bursting out in a laugh.

Meet Sumit Nagal
a Young Boy from Haryana Who Won a Set
Against Roger Federer at US Open
The 22-year-old young Indian tennis
player Sumit Nagal made his Grand Slam
debut on August 27 setting up the U.S.
Open first round against legendary Roger
Federer.
Born on August 16, 1997, in Haryana,
Sumit Nagal beat the Grand Slam
champion in the opening set of the match
in the U.S. Open that lasted for 2 hours
and 30 minutes.
Nagal is currently ranked 190 in the
world with also becoming only the fifth
Indian male player to feature in a Grand
Slam singles main draw in this decade
besides Somdev Devvarman, Yuki
Bhambri, Saketh Myneni, and Prajnesh
Gunneswaran.
Nagal, ahead of his first-round clash
with Federer, said: “It’s probably the best
thing that could have happened. I was
hoping I get to play Roger someday. He
is God of tennis, so yeah I am looking
forward to it.”

The young Indian tennis player won the
2015 Wimbledon boys’ doubles title along
with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam,
defeating pair of Akira Santillan and Reilly
Opelka in the final. With clinching that title,
he became the sixth Indian player to win a
junior Grand Slam title.
He made his first appearance in Davis Cup
in the 2016 World Group Playoff tie against
Spain in New Delhi.
Nagal’s journey towards success was not
a cakewalk. In 2017, he was dropped from
the squad of Indian Davis Cup after reports
surfaced of him missing practice session in
July 2016 at Chandigarh citing a hangover.
He also once allegedly took his girlfriend
along with him for a tourney trip without
authorities’ consent.
But 2019 saw a turnaround in fortunes.
Nagal came into the US Open qualifiers
confident, backed by terrific results during
the Clay court season. Consistent results
on the Challenger Circuit meant that he
broke into the top-200 for the first time in his
career.
He had started the year outside the 350
brackets and had to overcome a difficult
period, encountering injuries but came back
strong.
Mahesh Bhupati, India’s Davis Cup
captain, was the first person to spot Nagal’s
keenness towards football and supported
him to make it as a profession.
Mahesh Bhupati said the match against
Federer was a career-defining moment for
the 22-year-old, who grew up in West Delhi.
However, Nagala couldn’t build that
success in the beginning as he was
knocked out of 16 tennis tournaments at the
first round itself and he laid blame on change
in support staff for the poor outcomes.
But later he began to train with Serbian coach
Milos Galecic at Paine in Germany and results
have started to show. Somdev - one of the
best counter punchers India has produced -
had also trained with Milos.

Amazon Rainforest Fires
What Happened?
INFOCUS
Fire is a destructive element which has the capacity of burning
everything down in shambles within seconds. The Amazon
Rainforest, which is considered the Earth’s lungs as it produces over
20% of the atmospheric oxygen was on a rampant fire consistent for
over more than two weeks.
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
The disaster left everyone
in shock and the climate in
an even worse state than
before. Not only has this
brought along terror for the
areas surrounding but the
entire world.
Acres of lands and forest
now stand in ashes.
Indigenous tribes and
thousands of animals
have lost their lives in the
disastrous fires. The fire has
been constantly affecting the
forest and the area around
since the past month forcing
Brazil to declare a state of
emergency to ensure that
the people are safe from
the harmful smoke and
to mitigate the rampant
spreading of the fire.
The fire has been a constant
threat to all the indigenous
tribes and millions of animals
who resided around in the
forest.
According to some of the
issued reports by CNN, it
suggests that the rate of
fires in Brazil is the highest
since the year of 2013 and
has climbed up by 85% just
from the past year itself.
The Brazil Space Research
Centre has reported the
advent of more than 80,000
fires in just this year itself.
The intensity of the fire is
so much that the smoke
is visible from space.
Luca Parmitano, who is a
European Space Agency
astronaut suggested saying
that the smoke from the fire
is so widespread that it looks
like clouds in some of the
captured pictures.
The common people across
the world were alerted about
the condition when several
hashtags started trending
on the various social media
platforms bringing the
condition to the limelight.
Several people from Brazil
and across the world have
gone around protesting for
this condition and putting
a stop to the condition for
better recovery.
What was the reason
behind the fires?
When it comes round to
the forest fires, it is tough
to pinpoint one single
reason behind the same. Even
though the Amazon rainforest
is typically wet and humid
almost all throughout the year,
the same experiences a dry
patch from the month of July till
August.
Those months are the ones
attributed to the region’s driest
months, making it a possible
reason behind the condition
of the spiked “activity”,
especially during the month
of September. Additionally,
human made fires are often an
option because that is used to
clear out patches in the forest
for farming and such.
Jair Bolsonaro, the president of
Brazil suggested before saying
that the fires could have been
initiated by some of the non-
governmental organization to
induce funding cuts. He later
went on to deny having said
WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019

INFOCUS
that, as reported by BBC.
What establishment
does it have to do with
climate change?
In one of the issued
statements on August 22,
Greenpeace suggested
saying that the climate
change and the deteriorating
condition around the same
and forest fires are in a
constant loop.
The more the fires around,
the more smoke and the
greenhouse gas emissions
are. This is something
that does contribute to
the overall increase in the
temperature rise of the
planet. With the sudden
and persistent alterations in
the overall temperature, it
does end up contributing to
some of the major disasters
happening in the world.
Greenpeace also elaborated
stating that deforestation is
one of the major reasons
behind the increased
emissions. Additionally,
the lack of trees also do
contribute to the change in
the rainfall patterns of the
area, further contributing
to the extension of the dry
season, further increasing
the risks of forest fires.
Which areas were
affected the most?
While many people who are
just keeping up with it via the
media think that the forest fire
is secluded to the area and just
the country of Brazil, that isn’t
the actual case.
According to one of the reports
from Telesur, it is suggested
that the fires have spread to
Bolivia and Paraguay as well
by the end of August. The
widespread smoke was initially
been reported to be around the
primary Brazilian states like
Amazonas, Rondonia, Mato
Grosso and Para.
Owing to the proximity of the
state of Amazonas, the state
is the one which was the
most affected.
The worst and possibly the
most devastating part with
everything was the fact that
the impacts do go beyond the
risks of the states affected.
Given that the Amazon
rainforest produces 20%
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
of the Earth’s oxygen and is
home to 10% of the world’s
biodiversity, it has one of the
primary role when it comes
round to the climate control.
What was the condition
around?
According to the reports
suggested till August 29,
2019, it was found that there
were over 2500 active fires in
the Brazilian rainforest. The
fires are so vivid that even
the smoke resulting from
the same are visible up from
space.
The fires have become
so bad and the condition
around have landed in such
a disastrous condition that
the skies above Sau Paulo
completely blackened. The
smokes from the fire could
also be witnessed around in
Argentina too.
The worst through this is
the fact that the fire is still
active. The officials are
expecting a patchy rain
on September 10th but
the same isn’t even close
enough to bring even the
minor relief through for this
condition.
Is there any way you
can help?
Given that the fire is still in
an active state and needs
immediate help, even the
littlest amount is enough to
bring forth the impacts that
make the difference.
For the most part, it is
important that you look through
some of the active donation
sites that could be tied directly
to the condition of putting the
fire out.
Some of the best fundraisers
and sites for donation include
Rainforest Action Network,
Rainforest trust, World Wide
Fund for Nature, Amazon
Watch, Amazon Conservation
Team, One Tree Planted.
You can even sign up on
the petition brought by
Greenpeace that is pushing the
Brazilian government to work
aggressively to bring about
changes to putting the fires out
in the Amazonian rainforest.
When it is about freedom fighters of our country, we

Some of the freedom fighter
raised with the inspiration of
Gandhi, Rani Lakshmi Bhai,
Bose, Lal, Bal, Pal. Some of
the women fighters rewrote the
history of India. During the days
where women were treated
with low respect, Begum
Hazrat voiced out. She roared
fearlessly for freedom of India.
Begum Hazrat Mahal was a
freedom fighter who showed all
her power during the fight for
independence. To know more
about this great and brave
soul, you need to read her
inspirational story.
Early Life of Begum
Hazrat
Though Begum Hazrat is a
rebel in India history, her early
life was miserable. Her birth
date is unknown and she was
from a poor family. Her parents
made her dancing girl in the
kingdom of Awadh. She was
a maid and then got sold to
the ruler of Awadh. Later, the
King of Awadh, Wajid Ali Shah
married Hazrat. The couple
gave birth to a son and named
him Birjis Qadar.
She had a different and sad
life compared to other queens.
Her husband got married to
other women and he himself
divorced Begum Hazrat.
Hazrat Mahal As
A Freedom Fighter
Awadh was a state then
In India and acquired by
British Raj as like many
other countries. The King of
Awadh started enjoying the
pleasure provided by British
rulers. King of Awadh was
given entourage providing
many animals and cooks.
But Begum and son were
not for entourage. She is
more a warrior than just
a puppet-like her King
husband. The rebel lady had
a strong support of influential
countries and leaders.
Hazrat Mahal and her
followers were quite for a
longer time. But later, they
planned to vanish British
authority in the state. With
the help of followers like
landowners and peasants,
Hazrat fought for the
independence of Awadh.
Awadh was a free state as
British rulers were defeated.
Then on June 5th, she made
her son the King of Awadh.
After the independence
of Awadh, Hazrat Mahal
regulated the affairs of the
state. She personally looked
after the accounts of both
Indian and British. She had
support from her followers
and last Mughal, Bahadur
Shah Jafar who recognized
her work from Delhi. She
gave speeches and was part
of many wars.

FREEDOM FIGHTER
At that time, Times in London
wrote: “The Begum of Awadh
shows greater strategic sense
and courage than all her
generals put together.”
Begum started ruling vast part
of the land and she also fought
for many other places to free
them from the British. She
was against the British for the
longest time and it led to the
crushing of Lucknow on whole.
Most of the things were against
her. The British government
had more money and material
which also included powerful
weapons. They had many
Indian kingdoms on their side.
Thereafter, Begum had less
power with low supplies as well.
Then Begum was asked
to agree for mercy and
pension. But Begum hit it
all aside and then she left
Lucknow. She led her way to
the Himalayas in the North.
She goes on fighting against
the British at every moment
and then, at last, she ended
seeking shelter in Nepal.
Britisher again offered her
mercy and she again refused
it all. Slowly, she lost all her
wealth but she refused to
come back to Lucknow to
surrender. She died on 7th
April 1879 and there was no
money for her funeral.
Presently, her grave is in
the corner of Jama Masjid
Kathmandu. Till her death,
she was a rebel woman
who was undefeated.
The tribute or hornour that
Hazrat Mahal got was a
postage stamp. The mere
postage stamp is not the
right tribute for the rebel
woman Hazrat Mahal. She
chose to fight for freedom of
her people, of our country.
She was everything that
we need to learn from. Her
every phase of the story is
inspirational. Her courage
and braveness to fight and
her kind heart towards the
poor makes her a legendary
soul in Indian history.

For instance, take the color white

of us honestly believe in the fact
that our flaws are beautiful? Well
- It is time to start looking at the
good in flaws and celebrate who
we really are. It is important to
stop cribbing over flaws because
that’s not a way to change
things and find the right
solution. Stop feeling sad
and look at a few tips to stop
cribbing about your flaws
Tip 1 - Meet Up With
Your Reflection The Nice
Way
Well - This sounds insane
to meet your reflection and
figure out a way to accept
your flaws. You never know
after you get deep in knowing
yourself you will get clarity
as to what is a flaw and not.
That said, stand in front of
the mirror and have a one on
one self talk to know yourself
better.
This is the time to be true to
yourself. Nothing is right or
wrong, you have to see to
it that you question yourself
about what you love and
LIFE STYLE
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
hate in you and why do you hate or love
yourself for it. Thus, go deep this way and
try to analyze what is truly your flaw.
How do you deal with this the right way?
You must be kind to yourself and sustain
a neutral expression.
Tip 2 - Reflect On Your Flaws
Reflecting on your flaws can even
mean asking opinions from the people
who would tell you things upfront. They
could be your well-wishers or someone
who is around you and has made an
observation. While you have already
done a self-review in front of the mirror, it
is good to know what do your people say
so that you have a better picture of your
flaws.
If you want to deal with this in the most
sensible way then you just need to pacify
yourself saying “It is okay I am brave
enough to accept what is not wow in me”
This should be your spirit
Tip 3 - Renovate Or Demolish
Your Flaws
When day can change tonight and vice-
versa, why cannot a mindset or thoughts
change the same way? They surely can!
For sure when you finally know what are
your flaws instead of looking at them
as flaws you can think of renovating
them and turning them into areas of
opportunity, isn’t it?
Be brave and take it up as a challenge
to not let your flaw be one 6 months
from now. How would you practice this?
For instance, your flaw is to yell and
get hyper with little things. You need to
think over an action plan and put it in
place to reach your goal of turning your
“yelling” flaw into a “peaceful” strength.
Remember that you do not have to push
yourself too hard, do it if you feel like it.
Tip 4 - Stop Expecting Results
You need to give yourself a pat if you
have attempted to know your flaws,
reflect upon them and work on it. Say you
have not been able to change yourself,
you just need to relax and say to yourself
that it is okay because in the end what
matters is you sow the seeds.
Do not let your patience get tested.
Wait for the right time and just let it be.
WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019
80
Do not expect yourself to change instantly if
it is not happening. The more you control and
hold yourself, the more you would come in the
pressure of getting results of what you have
been trying.
Tip 5 - Admire Beauty In Your Flaws
Motivating yourself and trying to look through
what’s doing good to you in the worst phase is
a way of turning your worst phase into a good
one. Learn to see that there is good in your flaw
too. It is simple, think of this, how would you
know that you have to improve had you been
perfect or what else could have been a better
way to make you a better person than getting
over a flaw would?
So you see how there is beauty in the flaw.
Another way of looking at it is because you
have a flaw in something you are good at
something else. Think of this, how would you be
good at something else if you did not have this
flaw? While this is tricky it still makes sense.
Think of how is a Lotus, it grows in dirty water,
yet we can see that it has a beautiful flaw. Think
of how the thorns of a rose flower prick, yet, it is
a flower that signifies love and one of the most
special. When nature is not free of flaws, how
would we be flawless?
Tip 6 - Acknowledge Your Flaws - Do
Not Run Away From Them!
The flaws you have might be haunting to you
and you might be in “ I dislike myself for this”
space. It is wrong if you have always been
there. Why would you not like yourself for flaws,
don’t your strengths matter?
It is good to acknowledge and know them, it is
one form of acceptance. But, just cos you
know your flaws you cannot run away from
them and let it eat you up in a way that you
run away from them. Never run! Just walk
past your flaws!
Tip 7 - Do Not Lose Your
Originality In Search For Perfection
Do not wait for someone else to come and
tell you this that you are not the only one
who has flaws and obligated that for survival
you need perfection by your side. If you
have always thought this way then its time
for a change.
Be who you want to be, if you think your
flaw is not a flaw at some point then it is
not. It is about what you feel in your head.
Mind you, if you think is the best with people
is what you need to work on then you are
mistaking the true definition of perfection.
When defining perfection you got to be
LIFE STYLE
SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
happy with yourself. You will be happy
only when you are true to yourself.
Tip No 8 - Purpose Of Life Is
Not Perfection - It Is In Embracing
Your Flaws Too!
If you are thinking a fairy tale story for
yourself and taking life too seriously by
obligating yourself to be perfect always
then you are burdening yourself too
much. It never works that way. You need
to understand that you are not given birth
to prove to be the most perfect. If you are
thinking of being perfect in someone’s eye
then forget it, there will be times when you
cannot be perfect in your own eyes either.
If you have made a mistake today or
you think a particular habit is a flaw then
work on it without pressurizing yourself
to immediately turn it into a strength. Be
satisfied that you have figured out that
you need to change. It is not always about
being perfect, sometimes you just need to
go through hardships to become a better
person.
Tip No 9 - Do Not Chase
Perfection
What you want will come to you at a
perfect time. If you always chase it, it is
going to slip away from your hands at
some point, the same goes with running
behind perfection too. Let perfection take
its form and slowly come to you.
If you are seriously looking out to change
your flaws and make it all fine you need
to just put in a little effort without chasing
perfection to come your way. If you take
5 steps forward you may not reach your
destination. However, you will gain an experience
that will be a reward to you all your life.
Tip No 10 - Be Sure That You Are
Taking Good Care Of Yourself
Most of the time it is you who sees a flaw in
yourself, these flaws are built up insecurities. We
are all insecure about something in life and a few
of us manage to deal with those insecurities by
making it our strength. On the flip side, a few of
us get affected by those insecurities and think of
it as our worst flaws.
The best way to come in terms with your
insecurities is to take good care of your mental
and physical self. Surround yourself with positive
people, spend most of your time with people who
love you, eat well and healthy, sleep on time, try
a new hobby and keep motivating yourself.
In a nutshell, crying over your flaws will get you
nowhere! Celebrate your flaws!

Only if making a relationship work was a theory or a
procedure, relationships would have lasted and worked out
better. The whole point is that no one has a magic mantra
or a superpower to give you and assured advice on how to
make a relationship last.
10 Tips To Make A Relationship Last
Do You Want To Go A Long Way?
RELATIONSHIP
We all make relationships easily but how
well do we maintain and value them?
Getting attracted and falling in love is
natural. The question is how long does
that love last.
Sadly, there are phases where people
do not leave a relationship. Love leaves
them. Love just does not happen, it is
supposed to be nurtured and valued for it
to last. By and large, if you look at lovers
in history, you would find most of them
giving up their life for each other and
looking at relationships now, it is a big
deal if people can last together for a long
time.
Do you want your relationship to last
long? If yes, here are a few tips that will
help you live your dream of “ I want to be
yours and live with your forever”. Anyone
who is in a relationship will certainly want
it to last. Unfortunately, when people
take each other for granted and let love
die it gets tough to save and help that
relationship last.
How to make your relationship last?
Tip 1 - Go With The Flow
Initially, the thought of being in a
relationship can seem heavenly but at the
same time, everything is not forever. The
first thing you need to learn about making
your relationship last is to simply go with
the flow. Do not plan too much or have
any expectations. You make the efforts
together and if you are meant to be, you
always will.
Tip 2 - Have A Positive View
When you connect with a man or woman
and you believe that your life is empty
without them there are chances of feeling
insecure about the relationship. What you
ask from the universe is what you get.
Never think negative that maybe my
relationship won’t work or do not think
too much of the what-ifs. Being positive
of the fact that your relationship would be
protected by your partner and you to go
a long way, this should be your thought.
One way of reversing this situation is to
plan on how do you want to be together.
Planning is good. But always remember,
you still have to be prepared.

Tip 3 - Be Good To
Each Other
Being good to each other
initially is easy but continuing
to be good to each other takes
the biggest place in making
your relationship last. It is the
basic things such as trusting
each other, showing your true
selves, being kind, being each
other’s backbone, protecting
each other and prioritizing your
relationship over ego issues.
Your relationship will last only
if you know how to take care of
all these aspects.
Tip 4 - Never Push Your
Partner To Change For
You
Asking for love and time from
your partner is understandable,
you deserve it. Asking from
your partner his/her originality
is too much. Never pressurize
your partner to change for you
and you do not have to change
for him/her.
You have not truly loved the
person if you are asking for it.
Put yourself in your partner’s
shoes. Someday if your parents
would expect you to change
and only then be happy with
you, how would it feel? The
same way your partner would
feel and if the happiness of a
relationship is by dependent
on control or such a huge
expectation. It will never last
long.
Tip 5 - Keep Away
From Insulting/
Criticizing Your Partner
When our fingers are not
equal how is it right to
expect our partners to be
just like us. We all have our
odd charateristics and we
can get annoying for our
partners. Always remember
that you should protect and
never criticize your partner
when there is a third person
around.
It is painful and humiliating
and this will not just cause
a rift in the relationship
but your partner might feel
disgusted to be with you.
For all you know, even your
partner may be dislikes
something about you and
has never been vocal about
it. Therefore, if you want
your relationship to last, you
vent out and speak to your
partner in a closed door.
Tip 6 - Do Not Be The
Immature One
Arguing over valid situations
is understood, arguing and
fighting over silly things is
still understood. However, if
you are holding on to fights
and arguments then you are
runining things. Always let
go of unpleasant situations
and move on. Do not be the
petty one! As you want your
relationship to last, you must
grow and learn how to tackle
these problems.
Tip 7 - Giving Freedom Is
Basic
Just because you are in a
relationship it does not mean
that your partner is caged or
has to agree to your decisions.
It is wrong to suffocate your
partner by intruding in his/
her personal space. Since
you have enough faith in your

Conducted by Change Research and sponsored by Investingin.us and the AAPI Victory Fund, the poll was released on Sunday in connection to the first-ever AAPI Democratic Presidential Forum held in Costa Mesa, California. The research found that AAPI voters are roughly aligned with other Democratic primary voters on their presidential preferences, their choices are being guided by concerns that are unique to their communities. The AAPI voters feel direct threats from white nationalism, racial and religious profiling, and are even more focused than other Democratic primary voters on issues like education and preventing gun violence, according to the research. The Brazil Space Research Centre has reported the advent of more than 80,000 fires in just this year itself. The intensity of the fire is so much that the smoke is visible from space. Luca Parmitano, who is a European Space Agency astronaut suggested saying that the smoke from the fire is so widespread that it looks like clouds in some of the captured pictures. The common people across the world were alerted about the condition when several hashtags started trending on the various social media platforms bringing the condition to the limelight. Several people from Brazil and across the world have gone around protesting for this condition and putting a stop to the condition for better recovery. What was the reason behind the fires? When it comes round to the forest fires, it is tough to pinpoint one single reason behind the same. Even though the Amazon rainforest is typically wet and humid almost all throughout the year, the same experiences a dry patch from the month of July till August. Those months are the ones attributed to the region’s driest months, making it a possible reason behind the condition of the spiked “activity”, especially during the month of September. Additionally, human made fires are often an option because that is used to clear out patches in the forest for farming and such. Jair Bolsonaro, the president of Brazil suggested before saying that the fires could have been initiated by some of the non- governmental organization to induce funding cuts. He later went on to deny having said
  • 58. WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019 58 INFOCUS that, as reported by BBC. What establishment does it have to do with climate change? In one of the issued statements on August 22, Greenpeace suggested saying that the climate change and the deteriorating condition around the same and forest fires are in a constant loop. The more the fires around, the more smoke and the greenhouse gas emissions are. This is something that does contribute to the overall increase in the temperature rise of the planet. With the sudden and persistent alterations in the overall temperature, it does end up contributing to some of the major disasters happening in the world. Greenpeace also elaborated stating that deforestation is one of the major reasons behind the increased emissions. Additionally, the lack of trees also do contribute to the change in the rainfall patterns of the area, further contributing to the extension of the dry season, further increasing the risks of forest fires. Which areas were affected the most? While many people who are just keeping up with it via the media think that the forest fire is secluded to the area and just the country of Brazil, that isn’t the actual case. According to one of the reports from Telesur, it is suggested that the fires have spread to Bolivia and Paraguay as well by the end of August. The widespread smoke was initially been reported to be around the primary Brazilian states like Amazonas, Rondonia, Mato Grosso and Para. Owing to the proximity of the state of Amazonas, the state is the one which was the most affected. The worst and possibly the most devastating part with everything was the fact that the impacts do go beyond the risks of the states affected. Given that the Amazon rainforest produces 20%
  • 59. SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET of the Earth’s oxygen and is home to 10% of the world’s biodiversity, it has one of the primary role when it comes round to the climate control. What was the condition around? According to the reports suggested till August 29, 2019, it was found that there were over 2500 active fires in the Brazilian rainforest. The fires are so vivid that even the smoke resulting from the same are visible up from space. The fires have become so bad and the condition around have landed in such a disastrous condition that the skies above Sau Paulo completely blackened. The smokes from the fire could also be witnessed around in Argentina too. The worst through this is the fact that the fire is still active. The officials are expecting a patchy rain on September 10th but the same isn’t even close enough to bring even the minor relief through for this condition. Is there any way you can help? Given that the fire is still in an active state and needs immediate help, even the littlest amount is enough to bring forth the impacts that make the difference. For the most part, it is important that you look through some of the active donation sites that could be tied directly to the condition of putting the fire out. Some of the best fundraisers and sites for donation include Rainforest Action Network, Rainforest trust, World Wide Fund for Nature, Amazon Watch, Amazon Conservation Team, One Tree Planted. You can even sign up on the petition brought by Greenpeace that is pushing the Brazilian government to work aggressively to bring about changes to putting the fires out in the Amazonian rainforest.

WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019 76 LIFE STYLE WaysToStopCribbingAbout YourFlaws Walk Past The Phase “ Beauty is not flawless, it shines through your flaws too” - QuoteDiary.Me A flaw is not as bad as it is defined and looked at. Keep aside everything and sit down to think of the deep meaning of what is a flaw? Is it naturally a flaw or is it one of our perception? Did this confuse you? If it did then you first need to figure out what is a flaw.
  • 77. SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET
  • 78. WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019 78 For instance, take the color white and black. Not everyone would be a die-hard fan of white nor would all be a die-hard fan for black, do you agree? So, would you call the color “white” as a color with flaws because it is plain or would you call the color “black” as negative because it is dark? It is all on how you see it, isn’t it? However, both the colors are distinct because of their plus points as well. The same goes with all of us, we cannot change the fact that we are all born and grow up with flaws. The fact that we struggle through the way we see our flaws, as well as the way someone looks at our flaws is the catch here. When you know that a flaw is meant to be there even in someone who seems the most perfect to you, then why crib, feel hurt, lose on your self-esteem or break your head over your flaws. Don’t you think it would be easier on you if you could accept your flaws, smile at them and work over them if required? It is easier said, flaws are beautiful, can it always be perceived that way? how many of us honestly believe in the fact that our flaws are beautiful? Well - It is time to start looking at the good in flaws and celebrate who we really are. It is important to stop cribbing over flaws because that’s not a way to change things and find the right solution. Stop feeling sad and look at a few tips to stop cribbing about your flaws Tip 1 - Meet Up With Your Reflection The Nice Way Well - This sounds insane to meet your reflection and figure out a way to accept your flaws. You never know after you get deep in knowing yourself you will get clarity as to what is a flaw and not. That said, stand in front of the mirror and have a one on one self talk to know yourself better. This is the time to be true to yourself. Nothing is right or wrong, you have to see to it that you question yourself about what you love and LIFE STYLE
  • 79. SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET hate in you and why do you hate or love yourself for it. Thus, go deep this way and try to analyze what is truly your flaw. How do you deal with this the right way? You must be kind to yourself and sustain a neutral expression. Tip 2 - Reflect On Your Flaws Reflecting on your flaws can even mean asking opinions from the people who would tell you things upfront. They could be your well-wishers or someone who is around you and has made an observation. While you have already done a self-review in front of the mirror, it is good to know what do your people say so that you have a better picture of your flaws. If you want to deal with this in the most sensible way then you just need to pacify yourself saying “It is okay I am brave enough to accept what is not wow in me” This should be your spirit Tip 3 - Renovate Or Demolish Your Flaws When day can change tonight and vice- versa, why cannot a mindset or thoughts change the same way? They surely can! For sure when you finally know what are your flaws instead of looking at them as flaws you can think of renovating them and turning them into areas of opportunity, isn’t it? Be brave and take it up as a challenge to not let your flaw be one 6 months from now. How would you practice this? For instance, your flaw is to yell and get hyper with little things. You need to think over an action plan and put it in place to reach your goal of turning your “yelling” flaw into a “peaceful” strength. Remember that you do not have to push yourself too hard, do it if you feel like it. Tip 4 - Stop Expecting Results You need to give yourself a pat if you have attempted to know your flaws, reflect upon them and work on it. Say you have not been able to change yourself, you just need to relax and say to yourself that it is okay because in the end what matters is you sow the seeds. Do not let your patience get tested. Wait for the right time and just let it be.
  • 80. WWW.WISHESH.NET | SEPTEMBER 2019 80 Do not expect yourself to change instantly if it is not happening. The more you control and hold yourself, the more you would come in the pressure of getting results of what you have been trying. Tip 5 - Admire Beauty In Your Flaws Motivating yourself and trying to look through what’s doing good to you in the worst phase is a way of turning your worst phase into a good one. Learn to see that there is good in your flaw too. It is simple, think of this, how would you know that you have to improve had you been perfect or what else could have been a better way to make you a better person than getting over a flaw would? So you see how there is beauty in the flaw. Another way of looking at it is because you have a flaw in something you are good at something else. Think of this, how would you be good at something else if you did not have this flaw? While this is tricky it still makes sense. Think of how is a Lotus, it grows in dirty water, yet we can see that it has a beautiful flaw. Think of how the thorns of a rose flower prick, yet, it is a flower that signifies love and one of the most special. When nature is not free of flaws, how would we be flawless? Tip 6 - Acknowledge Your Flaws - Do Not Run Away From Them! The flaws you have might be haunting to you and you might be in “ I dislike myself for this” space. It is wrong if you have always been there. Why would you not like yourself for flaws, don’t your strengths matter? It is good to acknowledge and know them, it is one form of acceptance. But, just cos you know your flaws you cannot run away from them and let it eat you up in a way that you run away from them. Never run! Just walk past your flaws! Tip 7 - Do Not Lose Your Originality In Search For Perfection Do not wait for someone else to come and tell you this that you are not the only one who has flaws and obligated that for survival you need perfection by your side. If you have always thought this way then its time for a change. Be who you want to be, if you think your flaw is not a flaw at some point then it is not. It is about what you feel in your head. Mind you, if you think is the best with people is what you need to work on then you are mistaking the true definition of perfection. When defining perfection you got to be LIFE STYLE
  • 81. SEPTEMBER 2019 | WWW.WISHESH.NET happy with yourself. You will be happy only when you are true to yourself. Tip No 8 - Purpose Of Life Is Not Perfection - It Is In Embracing Your Flaws Too! If you are thinking a fairy tale story for yourself and taking life too seriously by obligating yourself to be perfect always then you are burdening yourself too much. It never works that way. You need to understand that you are not given birth to prove to be the most perfect. If you are thinking of being perfect in someone’s eye then forget it, there will be times when you cannot be perfect in your own eyes either. If you have made a mistake today or you think a particular habit is a flaw then work on it without pressurizing yourself to immediately turn it into a strength. Be satisfied that you have figured out that you need to change. It is not always about being perfect, sometimes you just need to go through hardships to become a better person. Tip No 9 - Do Not Chase Perfection What you want will come to you at a perfect time. If you always chase it, it is going to slip away from your hands at some point, the same goes with running behind perfection too. Let perfection take its form and slowly come to you. If you are seriously looking out to change your flaws and make it all fine you need to just put in a little effort without chasing perfection to come your way. If you take 5 steps forward you may not reach your destination. However, you will gain an experience that will be a reward to you all your life. Tip No 10 - Be Sure That You Are Taking Good Care Of Yourself Most of the time it is you who sees a flaw in yourself, these flaws are built up insecurities. We are all insecure about something in life and a few of us manage to deal with those insecurities by making it our strength. On the flip side, a few of us get affected by those insecurities and think of it as our worst flaws. The best way to come in terms with your insecurities is to take good care of your mental and physical self. Surround yourself with positive people, spend most of your time with people who love you, eat well and healthy, sleep on time, try a new hobby and keep motivating yourself. In a nutshell, crying over your flaws will get you nowhere! Celebrate your flaws!

Someday if your parents would expect you to change and only then be happy with you, how would it feel? The same way your partner would feel and if the happiness of a relationship is by dependent on control or such a huge expectation. It will never last long. For all you know, even your partner may be dislikes something about you and has never been vocal about it. Therefore, if you want your relationship to last, you vent out and speak to your partner in a closed door.
