The Naga women proficiently
uses this loom for weaving
marvelous fabrics. The back
trap loom or loin loom is one
of the oldest type of loom. This
loom doses not contain any
external devices. The warp
is stretched between the two
parallel bamboos, one end
tied to the wall or a post and
the other end by a strap at the
waist of the weaver.
The warp is winded according
to the designs after the
weaving is done. The specialty
of the loom is that it small
and portable but requires
strenuous work, since it has
to be rebuilt every time. The
warp is created on the warping
frame using vertical sticks that
ensure correct thread sequence.
This frame is then transferred
to the weaver who creates the
shed using bamboo pole, head
stick, lease stick, and wooden
rods which are used for different
functions of the loom.
The motifs are derived from
ritual, beliefs and tribal identity.
Different tribes use different
colours and motifs that projects
their tribal identity. The raw
material is readily available as

This triggered the coronation

31. “O Krishna! I have heard
of an extensive palm grove
not far from here. The palm
trees bear wonderful fruits.
They are very tasty. But we
cannot get them because
a wicked demon by name
Dhenuka guards the grove
and lives there. He even
eats humans. So whoever
goes there is swallowed
up by him. Even cows and
birds avoid that place. But
the palm fruits are very
sweet. Even from here we
get their fragrance. All our
friends are craving to taste
those fruits. Only you will be
able to fulfill our wish. Will
you get the fruits for us?”
Hearing the words of his
friend, Krishna laughed
and ever ready to oblige
them, started for the forest
of palms accompanied by
the other boys. As soon as
they entered the grove, the
mighty Balarama shook
the palm trees with great
strength like an elephant
and the fruits fell down in
clusters.
Hearing the sound
Dhenukasura came running
in the guise of a big ass. He
rushed towards Balarama
in great anger and kicked
him on his chest. And then
he started frightening all
the boys by running around
braying loudly. Again he
went to attack Balarama.
But Balarama caught hold
of his two hind legs and
whirled him round and
round above his head and
dashed him against the
trees.
The terrific impact killed the
Asura. With his head and
body crushed, the Asura
crashed to the ground
bringing down some palm
trees too. But there were a
group of ass-demons living
there, the relatives and
friends of Dhenukasura.
They came out furiously
charging towards Krishna
and Balarama. But
Balarama and Krishna killed
everyone effortlessly. Thus
the whole grove was freed
from these demons. The
boys ate the fruits to their
heart’s content.
Krishna and Balarama were entrusted with

33. ‘Healthy Living’, most of the time
people think that it is a “cool”
expression. The art of healthy
living is just an Art. People never
talk about healthy living in terms
of it being an art form.
People see it as something they are
obligated to do or something they do
to impress people. Some people use
Healthy Living as a crutch to prove
how self righteous they can be.
This an old Zen expression that
means to abandon all things that you
think you know, so that you may learn
once again. Art is not something
created to be pretty, it is important
that you understand this concept for
it is one of the most important. Art
is the path of freedom. When you
are one with your art, you are free to
express yourself. When you become
a master of yourself you become a
master of all things.
The art of healthy living is something
that is deeply personal and cannot be
taught. It is not something “learned”
nor is there any system or method
to follow. There is no specific diet
or exercise routine that you must
follow to be an artist of healthy living.
You must learn who you are in the
universe and dissolve all ignorance,
only then will the art of healthy living
fully reveal itself to you.
At the art of healthy living we present
many ways to live healthy from many
different points of view. Certain ways
of living healthy are useful to one
and useless to another. When you
practice the art of healthy living you
become an artist and like any artist
you have your own style of doing
things.
Discover what a healthy life means
to you, but take nothing to be
absolute. Some think that they
practice the art of healthy living by
following others path, but they don’t
see that these people had to find
their own way. Though they may
have followed others for a while
they eventually went down a path
all their own and found what works
best for them.
Learn to live healthy but do not
force your methods or systems
upon another. Instead present what
works for you, giving them a choice.
The art of healthy living is based
on the creativity of the individual.
Individual creates the healthiest
lifestyle for him/herself, instead of a
healthy lifestyle that suits someone
else best but is difficult for you to
maintain.
Don’t feel obligated to live in
extremes and excesses. Don’t
resort to diets and systems that
are so strict and rigid that they
leave you questioning the art of
healthy living. Nor should you be so
undisciplined as to completely deny
every facet of Healthy Living. You
should find your middle ground and

37. Here is her
transformation.
Jyothi was the second child
among the five (2 girls and 3
boys) in a poor family. Due to
her family’s financial situation,
she was admitted into a
welfare orphanage. To get the
admission, she had to become
a motherless child.
Instead of getting down with
the situation, Jyothi developed
a strong will to make her future
bright. She learned the way of
dealing with life in a hard and
practical manner.
She attended a government
school while at the orphanage
and took vocational course
while residing in the
superintendent’s house.
Jyothi used to help her
superintendent with their
household work. She started
thinking for the ways to get into
a job.
Jyothi had to marry at 16 to
her cousin, instead of working
on to make her dreams come
true. After having 2 children,
the situation became even
worse as she had to work
in the fields for a daily wage
of Rs. 5 to take care of her
children.
Then came an opportunity
in the form of NYK (Nehru
Yuva Kendra), a Central
Government scheme which
sought to create awareness
among the youth. She took
the opportunity and became
a NYK Volunteer and later
started teaching. She used
to stitch petticoats at night to
make more money. She also
learned typewriting.
Apart from her bad financial
situation, she had to fight
with family and society to
do what she wanted to do.
She studied and obtained a
BA from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Open University in 1994 and
studied for a postgraduate
degree from the Kakatiya
University on weekends and
obtained it in 1997.
This made her to get a
special teacher job for a
salary of Rs. 398 per month.
She used to travel two
hours to reach her school.
She utilized this time to sell
sarees to her co-passengers
which gave her some extra
income. Her struggle for life
made her become conscious
about the time and it showed
her the ways to utilize the
time available creatively.
Her job was regularized and
she started making decent
money. But she did not want
to settle for anything, as her
passion to reach a higher
level always was haunting
her to find the next best.
God sent, a relative’s visit
from the US made her to
dream about going to the
land of prosperity, United
States. She studied computer
courses to get the eligibility
to work in the US. She went
to US by leaving her two
daughters in a missionary
hostel.
It was not an easy journey for
her to settle in the US. She
had to work in a gas station,
work as a baby sitter, load/
unload goods and work at a
video shop for her survival.
She joined a company called
CS America as a recruiter
with an aid of a close relative.
Later she got another offer
from a different company,
but she had to go back
to babysitting and gas
station for survival. That
was the beginning of her
entrepreneurial dreams.
She wanted to start her own
business and was looking for
the suitable line of business
to start.
When she visited Mexico for
stamping, she realized that
she could start a consulting
company as she was familiar
with the paperwork involved
with the Visa Processing.
With her savings of $40000,
she opened an office in
Phoenix in 2001 October.
She has been successfully
running her company KEYSS
since then.

Government agencies, policy makers,
politicians as well as Non-Government

Now that, she had joined hands with
other likeminded NGOs Prajadharana
Welfare Society, MV Foundation and

and formed a Pressure Group Force
for Orphan Rights and Community

Order to End H-1B‘misuse’
US President Donald Trump has issued an executive

move that is expected to moderately affect the Indian
infotech industry.

supporters say that the
original goal of the guest
worker programme of bringing
in highly-qualified foreign
workers to do high-end
jobs has been subverted by
companies by bringing in
entry-level workers to replace
US workers and depress
wages.
In his first trip to the blue-
collar country that has voted
him because of his pledge to
protect US jobs, Trump went
to a tool factory at Kenosha,
Wisconsin, in the Chicago-
Milwaukee industrial corridor,
to show that he intends to
live up to his promise to
staunch the loss of jobs.
There he signed what was
called a double-barrelled “Buy
American, Hire American”
executive order that will
tighten the guest worker visas
such as H-1B, and require
American agencies to buy
more goods and services
from US companies and
workers.

get more than the average
of the population. So the
assumption that they are
actually underpaid is factually
incorrect, because they
cannot be,” TCS CEO Rajesh

people to come in to do the
jobs, then the jobs will go out
where they can be done,”
another Indian industry

43. TThe rebound in the jobs market
could pave way for the US
central bank to raise the interest
rates in June.
The economy have to create
75,000 to 100,000 jobs every
month to keep the pace with
growth in the working-age
population. An unemployment
rate of under 5% is considered
as full employment. The rate
of 4.4% is the lowest since
May 2007. The increase in
employment was driven by
the leisure and hospitality
sectors, health care and social
assistance, financial activities
and mining.
The report showed an
average hourly earnings
have risen by 2.5% year-
on-year, although this was
down slightly when compared
to March’s figure. The jobs
figures have represented a
strong bounce-back following
the disappointing figures
recorded during March,
when only 79,000 jobs were
created, said Kully Samra, UK

the recovery in today’s
employment data gives
weight to the prospect of a
further rate hike in June and
the possibility of two or three
more this year,” he added.
The rebound in the jobs
market could pave the way
for the Fed to raise interest
rates in June. The recent
GDP figures have showed
the US economy has grown
at an annual rate of 0.7% in
the first three months of this
year, slowest rate since the
first quarter of 2014, raising
concerns that the economy
could be weakening.
Earlier this week, the Federal
Reserve kept its key interest
rate on hold in a range of
0.75% to 1%. Central bank has
also said that it viewed “the
slowing in growth during the first
quarter as likely to be transitory”
and still expected economic
activity to “expand at a moderate
pace”.
The job report bolsters
interpretation, with gains across
industries - even in sectors such
as retail, which has struggled
earlier in the year, according to
Gus Faucher, chief economist for
PNC Financial Services. “That’s
an indication that the economy is
expanding at a steady clip in early
2017,” he said.
With unemployment as low as it
is, firms may have a harder time
hiring and job growth could slow
by the end of the year, Mr Faucher
said. But, he added, “that’s not
a sign of weakness in the US
economy”.
Andrew Walker, BBC World
Service economics correspondent,
analyses that it was a sharp
bounce back after a very weak
labour market performance in
March. The average job growth for
the year so far has been 185,000,
essentially the same as in 2016.
The April jobs figures look
consistent with the idea that the
slowdown in US economic growth
in the first three months of the year
was “transitory”, a view expressed
by policy makers at the US
Federal Reserve.
With
unemployment
as low as it is,
firms may have a
harder time hiring
and job growth
could slow by the
end of the year,
Mr Faucher said.
But, he added,
“that’s not a sign
of weakness in the
US economy”.

(Regulation and Development)
Act, 2016, or RERA
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, or
RERA for short, will come into effect from May 1, 2017. The
real estate sector in the country up until now had next to no
regulation from the point of view of the buyer. Buying a house
required a lot of leap of faith and prayers at the same.
4848
WWW.WISHESH.COM | MAY 2017
49. The RERA has the following five basic purposes:
1) To make sure that home that has been bought is delivered on time.
2) To make sure what has been promised has been delivered with respect to the actual
size of the house, the facilities etc.
3) To make sure that the money taken from the buyer is used to build what has been
promised and is not diverted to something else.
4) To make sure that the many permissions required to build a housing project are in
place.
5) To make sure that if any changes are made to the project, they have the approval of
the majority of the buyers.
RERA makes it mandatory for the state governments to set up a real estate regulator. As
the Act states that: “Any aggrieved person may file a complaint with the Authority [i.e., the
real estate regulator of a particular state] or the adjudicating officer, as the case may be,
for any violation or contravention of the provisions of this Act.”
State governments have already started diluting RERA
a) While RERA is a central Act, land is a state subject. Hence, states are allowed to make
the operational rules to implement RERA. An effort is being made to ensure that the
ongoing projects are not brought under the ambit of RERA. This means that many buyers
who are currently in trouble will not be able to benefit from this Act.
b) Only three states (Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh) have set up
regulators up until now.
c) It is important to understand that regulators don’t start becoming effective from day one.
It takes time for regulators to mature and be able to function in a proper way.
d) It is important to know that the regulators don’t necessarily bat for the consumers.

57. Ashwa means “horse” in Sanskrit, and mudra is a “gesture”
or “sign”. The real meaning of it lies in its definition: the
practice of a rhythmic contraction of anal sphincter, which
allows directing the prana (apana) flow upward the spine
through the main energy channel called sushumna. In yoga
ashwini mudra is a beginners technique, which means it’s
relatively easy and precedes other techniques such as mula
bandha or vajroli mudra.
The basic technique for the
mudra is pretty simple and
nevertheless powerful and
makes the mudra one of
the essential parts of many
internal yoga practices, such
as mula bandha or viparita
karani mudra.
The very similar technique
is used in Qigong to fill the
internal organs with prana
to make them healthier and
more resistant to the external
influences and damages.
The practice of ashvini yoga
mudra is simple, safe and
very effective.
How to Do Ashwini Mudra
First of all take an asana or yoga pose. The best pose for such
practices is considered to be the lotus pose or padmasana.
Once you got into the posture, Relax for a minute, breathing
freely and deeply. Inhale fully
Hold your breath and contract the anal sphincter muscles with
a 1-2 seconds interval. For men there should be 4 contractions,
and for women 5. These numbers designate the average
quantity of anal muscles contractions required to push the
prana from the pelvis to the head.
Try to completely relax the anal muscles between the
contractions.

58. Press your chin against the bottom of the neck
Touch the palate with the tip of your tongue and start
releasing your breathe (exhaling)
Release the mudra and after that slowly raise your head.
You can repeat it 3-5 times or as much as you want – just
don’t overstress yourself, as the balance is the key to success
in everything.
Ashwini Mudra Benefits
1. The mudra works both externally and internally, or, in other
words, on the level of the physical body and on the energy
level.
2.In a physical plane the asana stimulates the abdomen and
pelvis area including reproductive and digestive organs.
3. Can help to get rid of constipation, deals with diseases of
the rectum and hemorrhoids and can improve your sexual
health.
4. Stimulates the prana flow towards the upper part of the
body
5. Slows down the aging process and improves the health in
general.
6. Makes your body more resistant to diseases if you practice
this yoga mudra regularly.
7. It increases the awareness, makes your mind more
peaceful, gives more energy, and can even improve your
mood.
If you are thinking about doing ashwini mudra during
pregnancy, then it is possible to some extent. But it may
require the personal attendance and a conclusion of your

To make a positive and
improved lifestyle, note your
current state. The wise thing
to do is weigh yourself now
and then you will know if you
have achieved your goal.
The same will apply to all
your goals and by the end of
a year you will be surprised
how far you have come. Any
change is a radical step as
you are telling your whole
body that we are changing,
you must know how effective
the change has been
3. Boost Your Energy
Level.
Feeling energetic is a key to
happiness and to self-esteem.
Exercise, even a quick ten-
minute walk can increase
your energy and boost your
mood. Energy is contagious.
If you feel and act energetic,
you’ll help the people around
you to feel energetic. Be
careful of what you read and
watch as this makes you
energetic or not. Get enough
sleep, listen to good music,
talk to friends as all these will
give you a lifestyle change.
4. Watch your entry
points (ears and
eyes).
There are two main entry
points into your body and
most of us never control what
comes in. Your life will be
shaped by what you listen,
read and watch. Ignore all the
junk.
5. Live a Luxury
Lifestyle the easy
way.
A luxurious lifestyle need
not be a healthy lifestyle.
We sometimes buy things
on a daily basis and end up
spending more, will eat any
food and exercise very little
or not at all. You can choose
to live in luxury by spending
a little bit more now to gain
in future. Dress well and be
fashionable
There are so many benefits of
a better lifestyle, if you cannot
do it alone there are lifestylers
or lifestyle coaches who can
always give you the needed
start but it is ultimately your
decision if you want a change.

A lot of rehabilitation and renovation is
required to mend such a union and make

Relationship is an institution that has many
related departments that call for undivided
attention. Careful and articulate co-
ordination of all departments is necessary
to ensure that this institution does not
experience hitches. It requires a person to
go that extra mile with personal sacrifices
on the way. Love relationships are the best
adopted to absorb the constant shocks of
life.
You might have relationships with many
different people in your life. An unhealthy
relationship can be a drain in your life,
your energy and even your health. Your
stress is increased while your feelings of
happiness are less. A better relationship
requires building, compromise and working
together.
Relationships are a very important part
of life. There are many relationships that
we have in life, family, friends, work and
special people. Those various relationships
help us to make life a magical and rich
experience. But there are things we need
to have better relationships.
Unfortunately, most people spend their
lives and relationships hovering just above
the center-line before the spiral dips down
into the darkness. They stay stuck in dead
end jobs that suck the life out of them.
They settle for relationships that are dull,
listless and boring. They resign themselves
to a life of mediocrity in order to avoid
the intensity of going through the growth
process that requires facing the dark night
of the soul.
They focus on small things like getting a
bigger house or car, losing ten pounds
or buying more stuff that they hope will
fill up the hole inside of them. It is not so
much that they refuse to face their pain
but rather, they don’t have any idea how to
travel through their shadow side and create
a better relationship.
Healthy relationships allow both partners
to feel supported and connected, but still feel
independent. Communication and boundaries
are the two major components of a healthy
relationship. Ultimately, the two people in the
relationship have to decide what is healthy for
them and what is not.

66. LOVE & ROMANCE
Balancing Office
Romance and Career
The office seems to be a
hotbed of romance–and a
more effective one. Given
the amount of time we
spend at work each day,
it’s quiet natural that
romance blooms with a
ferocious regularity in
the hothouse confines of
the office.
Before you make the first move, give it
some thought. If you decide to pursue
your interest, you may be jeopardizing
your love life and your career. On the
other hand, if everything goes well,
your job performance may improve
and your personal life stands to take a
turn for the better.
Assess the situation and ask yourself,
Is it really a good idea to make a
move? Is he interested in you? Is he
actually available? How would the
6666

67. rest of the office react if something did
happen? How would this affect your
career? Is this a risk that is actually
worth taking?
Consider the effect on your job
performance. Being in love can be
distracting. If your focus at work is on
the object of your affection and not on
your job, you are putting your career at
risk. Don’t spend more time in the copy
room or at the water cooler than you
normally would. On the other hand, job
performance could improve when you
are trying to impress that other person.
Whenever you get that feeling and
can’t stop thinking about romance, just
think about - or associate the thought
with - all of the negative aspects of an
office romance. The boring office-talk
on romantic weekends, the scorn of
your workmates and above all the
potentially devastating impact on
your career.
Be discreet and professional. It
is never a good idea to discuss
your romantic relationships with
coworkers, so keep the details to
yourself. People will talk. There is
no subject more fascinating than the
office gossip. A few extra words of
caution about romance in the office

right off the bat. Be cautious if you
are new on the job, whether you are
pursuing or being pursued. Because
you are a new hire, you will be under
extra scrutiny.
Your boss and co-workers will be
watching you closely and observing
your professional behavior. Be wary
of email. Remember that email is like
the newspaper. Before you hit “send”
make sure that what you are sending
is as professional as you want to
appear.
Office romances can be fun and
successful. Take proper steps, to
ensure that the relationship will
last without interfering in the work.
The wise couple is careful that any
interaction in the office is purely
professional. It’s a matter of having
your career and dating, too.

Doddaballapur
Indian Manchester of
Textiles
Doddaballapur is Taluk Head Quarters
of Bangalore Rural District. It is
located to the north east of Bangalore
city at a distance of 40 Kms. The city
is on the state Highway Bangalore –
Hindupur Road.
History
Dodda means big in the native
Kannada; contrasted with
Chikkaballapura or the ‘little
Ballapura’. The place is found
mentioned as Ballalapura thanya
in a record dated 1598 AD from the
local Adinarayana temple. It might
have originated from Hoysala
name Ballala, and later corrupted
as Ballapura. It is also believed
that the village has derived its
name from the circumstance that a
cow used to drop one `balla’ of milk
over a certain anthill and this omen
led to the foundation of the town.
From `balla’ the name Ballapura
was thus derived.
Doddaballapur was a celebrated
commercial centre right from the
Hoysala period. There is also a
view that the town was founded
by a feudatory Malbhairegowda
of the Avathi clan. During the
period between the 16th - 17th
centuries, Dodballapur was
administered by a branch of the
Avathi clan. Towards 1637 - 38,
the place was occupied by the
Bijapur Commander Ranadaula

the hands of Sambhaji, son
of Shivaji and it came into the
possession of the supreme
Government and that in the

was granted to one Shekh

The place was presented as
a Jahgir to a Muslim chief Ali

his son Darga Khuli Khan, the
Nawab of Sira, received the

The town has important temples such
as Venkataraman, Chowdeshwari,

Kashi Vishveshwar, Nagareshwar and

has a big compound. The compound
has stucco decorations with impact

There is a Shikara over the

is believed to have been
constructed towards the end of

under Haider called Arunachala
Panth. Inside the temple, over a
platform is kept a stone image of
Lakshminarayan in Vijayanagar
style, measuring about one and
a half metre in height, said to
have been brought from the local
Adinarayan temple.
Handloom Industry
The city is popularly called as
Silk City as lot of textile and
small scale Silk industries are
there in the city. This town was once
known for its famous hand woven
silk. Doddaballapur was once known
as Indian Manchester of textiles.
Previously Doddaballapur was known
for its handloom products but now
there is not even one handloom. All
the handlooms are being converted
to power looms. Perhaps from the
earliest times, the place is noted for silk
weaving industry and many weavers
also migrated to Bangalore from here.
In Doddaballapur there is a place
called weavers colony which is once
known for its handloom products.
These sarees are weaved in Cotton,
silk and polyester. Due to the heavy
cost incurring in handloom weaving
and the non availability of weavers,
once famous handlooms have shifted
to power looms. New generation is not
interested in the traditional weaving
due to low wages.

74. INDIAN HISTORY
Dravidian is the name given to a linguistically related
group of people in India, who are believed to be the
first original settlers of ancient India. Dravidian culture
is very diverse, with some groups maintaining more
traditional customs such as totemism and matralinealism,
while others have developed the lifestyles of a modern
technological society.

It is often presumed that
Dravidians were the
creators of the Indus River
Valley Civilization and
were occupying all of the
Indian subcontinent when
the Indo-Aryans invaded
from Afghanistan (ca2000
BCE). The Dravidians were
probably subjected by the
Indo-Aryans and are the
owners of Vedic scriptures.
Dravidians remained in a
tribal state in central and
southern India. Dravidians
in general were gradually

their languages. The Tamil
language is the first of

Hinduism.
The Aryans are said to have
entered India through the
fabled Khyber pass, around
1500 BC. They intermingled
with the local populace and
assimilated themselves
into the social framework.
They adopted and settled
agricultural lifestyle of
their predecessors and
established small agrarian
communities across the state
of Punjab. When the Aryans
arrived in India, they found
people with an advanced
civilization living there.
These people, known as the
Dravidians, lived in towns
and grew crops. The Aryans
gradually conquered the
Dravidians and drove them
southward.
The Aryans tendered sheep,
goats, cows and horses.
They measured their
wealth in herds of cattle.
The Aryans are believed
to have brought with them
the horse, developed the
Sanskrit language and made
significant inroads in to the
religion of the times. All
three factors were to play
a fundamental role in the
shaping of Indian culture.
Cavalry warfare facilitated
the rapid spread of Aryan
culture across North India,
and allowed the emergence
of large empires. Sanskrit
is the basis and the unifying
factor of the vast majority
of Indian languages. The
Aryans did not have a script,
but they developed a rich
tradition. They composed
the hymns of the four vedas,
the great philosophic poems
that are at the heart of Hindu
thought.
A settled lifestyle brought in
its wake more complex forms
of government and social
patterns. This period saw
the evolution of the caste
system and the emergence
of kingdoms and republics.
The events described in
the two great Indian epics,
the Ramayana and the
Mahabharata, are thought to
have occurred around this
period. (1000 to 800 BC).
The Aryans were divided
into tribes which had settled
in different regions of
northwestern India. Tribal
chiefmanship gradually
became hereditary, though
the chief usually operated
with the help of advice
from either a committee or
the entire tribe. With work
specialisation, the internal
division of the Aryan society
developed along caste lines.
Their social framework
was composed mainly
of the following groups :
the Brahmana (priests),
Kshatriya (warriors), Vaishya
(agriculturists) and Shudra
(workers). It was, in the
beginning, a division of
occupations; as such it was
open and flexible. Much
later, caste status and the
corresponding occupation
came to depend on birth
and change from one caste
or occupation to another
became far more difficult.

said, “The discovery helps

history and understand
part of the world that
has captivated peoples

Jones said, “It helps to
explain the origin of Hawaii,
Earths biggest volcanic hot-
spot and one of the most
popular tourist destinations
in the world.”
He said, “Heat from the
Earths core causes hot
columns of rock, called
mantle plumes, to rise
under tectonic plates and
produce volcanic activity on
the surface.”
Jones said,”Mantle plumes
have played a role in mass
extinctions, the creation of
diamonds and the breaking
up of continents.”
The twin volcanic tracks
emerged because the
mantle plume was out of
alignment with the direction
of the plate motion, said
co-researcher Rhodri
Davies from RSES.
Davies said,”Our
hypothesis predicts that
the plate and the plume
will realign again at some
stage in the future, and
the two tracks will merge
to form a single track once
again.”
“Plate shifts have been
occurring constantly, but
irregularly, throughout Earths
history. Looking further back
in time we find that double
tracks are not unique to
young Hawaiian volcanism
- indeed, they coincide with
other past changes in plate
motion,” Said Davies.

upcoming BMW G310R. BMW Motorrad will
launch the Made in India G310R this fiscal year.
TVS will launch the new Apache RR 310S most
likely in July this year.
Design:
The Apache RR 310S takes styling cues from the
marine predator, visible in the heat management
‘gills’ and the dorsal ‘fin’ used in the under-tail section.
Countless hours are spent in wind-tunnel testing and
has resulted in the Akula’s fluid shape. The bodywork is
completely made up of carbon-fibre and is supported by
a stiff aluminium trellis frame.
TVS had said that the backbone architecture has been
borrowed from the upcoming BMW G310R, which was
co-developed with TVS. Cycle parts also include track-
tuned USD front fork, cast-alloy swing-arm mounting
the rear mono-shock, radial calipers and steering
damper.
Features:
One of the most interesting features of the Apache
RR 310S has to be the front and rear-mounted gyro
cameras. These can make for some stellar on-board
videos, catching the action up close and also helping
riders to catch mistakes and get valuable feedback in
improving lap times.
The Apache RR 310S not only pays tribute to TVS’ rich
racing heritage but also gives a glimpse into the future
models, especially their version of the G 310 R.

85. Vastu for Internal
Arrangements
Vastu for internal arrangements is very much essential
to sustain peace, prosperity and happiness in the family
and relationships. Internal arrangement does not mean
arranging the things but keeping everything at its proper
position according to the Vastu.
Vastu for internal
arrangement involves
designing and placing things
at the proper place, so
that living place becomes
peaceful and Vastu
complaint.
While deciding for the Vastu
for internal arrangement, it
has to be noted that all the
items you bring and place
should be according to the
Vastu in order to balance the
energies. Correct placement
of things can help balancing
energies and render a
peaceful and prosperous
house.
Vastu tips for internal arrangements are:
Heavy furnishings and other material should be located in the
Southern or Western part of house.
Storage or console should always be located in the South or West
wall. Avoid North and Eastern walls for any kind of storage.
TV and other electronic items should be positioned in Eastern or
Northern wall, so that whenever people sit for watching TV, they
will face North or East.
Always place dinning table in East or North, so that while you eat,
face East or North.
Crystal items must be kept in North or East and avoid South or
West.
Heavy artifacts or other decorating items must be designed on
Southern or Western walls.

in the footsteps.
Verse meaning
Whatever action is performed
by a great man, common men
follow in his footsteps. And
whatever standards he sets by
exemplary acts, all the world
pursues.
Explanation
The great personalities set
the example for the common
man to follow in the manner
in which they speak and in
the way in which they act.
So understanding that the
whole Earth benefits from the
performance of prescribed
Vedic activities, one should act
altruistically not for themselves
but for the welfare of the world.
Great personalities should
always act in an exemplary
manner to set the standard
for the world. In this way they
inspire everyone to perform
prescribed Vedic actions
according to the qualification
of one’s varna in life and one’s
asrama or stage in life. If one
fails to do this by neglect or
omission one commits sin by
omitting to help benefit the
welfare of the world by their
example and the consequence
will be that one will fall down
from the path they achieved
after many lifetimes.
Lord Caitanya said that
a teacher should behave
properly even before he
begins teaching. One who
teaches in that way is
called acarya, or the ideal
teacher. A teacher must
follow the principles of sastra
(scripture) to reach the
common man. The teacher
cannot manufacture rules
against the principles of
revealed scriptures.
The leader’s teaching should
be based on the principles
of the standard rules as
they are practiced by the
great teachers. The Srimad-
Bhagavatam affirms that one
should follow the footsteps
of great devotees and that is
the way of progress on the
path of spiritual realization.
The king or the executive
head of a state, the father
and the school teacher
are all considered to be
the natural leaders of the
innocent people in general.
All such natural leaders have
a great responsibility to their
dependants. Therefore they
must be conversant with
standard books of moral and
spiritual codes.

like Assam, Tripura, Jharkhand and Orissa and all over India
as well wherever the Bengali community is. It is the same
day as the New Year’s Days of many calendars like Vishu,
Puthandu, Vaisakhi, Bihu, etc.

89. Mesha Sankranti is celebrated as
Naba Barsha or Poila Boishakh
in West Bengal. Poila Boishakh is
also known as Bengali New Year.
Bengali New Year is celebrated in
West Bengal and among Bengali
communities in Assam and Tripura. In
Assam, Poila Boishakh is celebrated
as Bihu and also known as Assamese
New Year.
Boishakhi fairs are held in many parts
of the country. Various agricultural
products, traditional handicrafts,
toys, cosmetics, as well as various
kinds of food and sweets are sold
at these fairs. The fairs also provide
entertainment, with singers and
dancers. They present folk songs.
Among other attractions of these
fairs are puppet shows and merry-go-
rounds.
History of Poila Boishakh
King Shoshangko of ancient Bengal
is credited with starting the Bengali
era. The starting point of the Bengali
era is estimated to be in 594 in the
Gregorian calendar. Hence Bengali
year is 594 less than the Gregorian
calendar if it is before Poila Boishakh
or 593 less if it is after Poila Boishakh.
Celebration of Poila
Boishakh
Like the new year day in the rest of
India, Bengali families clean their
house and decorate them with alpana
(rangoli). In the center of the alpana
color pattern, they place a earthen
pot, filled with water, capped with
mango leaves and marked with
auspicious Hindu red and white
swastika sign. Many people visit
the nearby river to say their prayers
and take a ritual bath. Wearing new
clothes are also part of the festival.

walked down the runway for Namrata Joshipura on
Day 3 of Amazon India Fashion Week autumn/win-
ter 2017. Based on the sponsor’s brief of a New York-
inspired collection, Joshipura drew references from the
Netflix mini-series, The Get Down. From street style-
inspired sweatshirts to OG hip-hop dollar pendants
all the way to dramatic evening gowns, the designer
captured the essence of a New Yorker’s dressing choic-
es. Banking on the popularity of the one-off embel-
lished Stan Smiths she created for Adidas, Joshipura
introduced a line of embellished sneakers this season.

Story :
Begum Jaan (Vidya Balan) owns
a brothel house and she stays
with her girls in a huge Kotha
leading a careless life. It is after
Independence, the proposal
of partition between India and
Pakistan that starts troubling
Begum Jaan. She receives
notices from the government to
vacate the Kotha and she seeks
the help of local king (Naseer-
uddin Shah) after she refuses
to vacate. After she refuses to
bend under pressure, INC leader
Hariprasad (Ashish Vidyarthi)
and Muslim league leader, Illyas
(Rajit Kapoor) find violent ways
to threaten her to leave. Watch
Begum Jaan to know what hap-
pens next.
Analysis :
Right from the first frame, Begum
Jaan misses the clarity throughout.
The film has some realistic and
stunning episodes that surprise the
audience and it is Vidya Balan who
tries hard to save the film but could
not. The first half has some engag-
ing episodes which make the film
passable. The performances by
the lead cast sure makes lot of dif-
ference. On the whole the first half
of Begum Jaan is slightly decent
but not up to the mark.
The second half which is quite cru-
cial for such films fails miserably in
all the available ways. The film has
some interesting plot but it is the
screenplay and the narration which
makes Begum Jaan fall flat. Vidya
Balan’s stupendous and fearless
performance has been utterly
wasted throughout. The pre-climax
episodes kill the film completely
and a decent climax makes no
difference. On the whole the sec-
ond half of Begum Jaan is a huge
failure in all the available ways.
Final Word:
Begum Jaan makes no impact de-
spite of the power-packed perfor-
mance by Vidya Balan and team.
The cluttered plot runs out because
of the poor narration that makes
the film a huge disappointment.

Story :
Noor is the story of Noor Roy
Chaudary (Sonakshi Sinha)
who works for a news agency
headed by Sekhar Das (Man-
ish Choudary). Noor wants to
get some sensational news on
board; she has been forced to
cover some uninteresting local
news. She has two best friends,
Zara Patel (Shibani Dandekar),
a DJ and Saad ( Kannan Gill).
Malti (Smita Tambe) unknow-
ingly divulges some shocking
details to Noor after which she
starts an enquiry about her
brother’s health. This is during
this time, Noor finds a big story.
The rest of the movie is all about
what happens next.
Analysis :
The first half of Noor offers noth-
ing and it takes much time to re-
veal the major plot. The first half
an hour is utterly wasted and it
offers nothing. The entertainment
at parts is a huge relief for the
audience and the major plot has
many loop holes that make the
audience feel a huge let down.
With some interesting episodes,
the first half of Noor offers noth-
ing and is a disappointment. With
not many commercial elements,
Noor is completely foolish.
The second half of Noor travels
interesting for sometime how-
ever the film dips down badly at
the much needed time. Some
of the logics look baseless and
most of the episodes look faked.
Sonakshi’s character has not
been written well and the climax
of Noor has interesting aspects.
With an interesting plot, the direc-
tor fails to make an engaging film.
Noor is sure a massive disap-
pointment in all the available
ways.
Final Word:
Noor is a film that lacks inter-
esting narration and is a huge
disappointment. Sonakshi Sinha
shines in the assigned role and
Noor has been good at parts.

108. Story :
Mister is all about the story of
Chai (Varuntej) who values rela-
tions and emotions than money.
He meets Meera (Hebah Patel)
accidentally and falls for her.
However at the right time when
he is about to propose his love,
Meera reveals her love story.
An unexpected incident brings
Chai to India after which he
meets Chandramukhi (Lavanya
Tripathi). The rest of Mister is all
about how Chai stands strong
solving all his problems and how
he wins his love. Watch Mister
to know about the triangular love
story.
Analysis :
The first half of Mister is all about
framing the important characters of
the film. The entertainment through-
out the film has been decent and
impressive. Though the plot looks
deviated, the director manages to
comeback soon. The songs look
decent and they have been placed,
shot well. The interval episodes look
interesting and on the whole the first
half of Mister is sure a decent watch
if keep back your expectations. The
interesting twists throughout keep
the audience engaging.
The second half of Mister lacks inter-
esting episodes. The entertainment
dips down completely and the un-
wanted episodes deviates the major
plot. The 20 minute long hospital
episode will sure leave the audience
irritated and is the major letdown for
the film. The pre-climax episodes
have been dragged too much and
it is the climax that makes the film
interesting and emotional. On the
whole the second half of Mister is a
huge downfall.
Final Word:
Mister is one more disappointment
from Srinu Vaitla as the film offers
nothing interesting throughout. Var-
untej, Lavanya Tripathi and Hebah
Patel have been emotional and im-
pressive in the journey which alone
cannot save the film.

Story :
Baahubali: The Conclusion is
all the about the questions that
have been left unanswered dur-
ing Baahubali: The Beginning.
The movie is all about the story
of Mahendra Baahubali (Prab-
has) who has been explained
about the kingdom of Mahis-
mathi and about the royal king
Amarendra Baahubali (Prab-
has). Baahubali: The Conclu-
sion will explain how Mahendra
Baahubali saves his mother
Devasena (Anushka) from Bhal-
laladeva (Rana Daggubati) and
conquers the kingdom of Maa-
hismathi. Watch Baahubali: The
Conclusion to know about the
complete story.
Analysis :
Baahubali: The Conclusion is
much lavish and vast than the
first installment of the movie.
Mixed with right emotions and
action, Baahubali: The Conclu-
sion will impress the audience to
the core. Rajamouli made sure
each and every question of the
audience will be answered in
the movie. The action episodes
have been completely destruc-
tive and the songs have been an
eye feast. The emotional drama
has been well narrated through-
out and the first half of Baahu-
bali: The Conclusion is truly an
epic and will live up the expecta-
tions. Each and every frame of the
film has been impressive.
The second half of Baahubali: The
Conclusion is all about the emo-
tional journey and the major story
of the film unfolds here. The crucial
episodes have been well show-
cased and the action episodes
carried the film well. Though the
emotional content makes the film
slow, the grand visuals along with
the VFX and the production values
make the film sit on the top. SS
Rajamouli should be widely appre-
ciated for his stupendous presenta-
tion throughout the movie. The de-
structive climax will sure leave the
audience disturbing. On the whole
the second half of Baahubali: The
Conclusion is an epic.
Final Word:
Baahubali: The Conclusion is a
film that should not be given a miss
for the spectacular performances,
grand VFX work, epic performanc-
es and lavish production values.
At the top, SS Rajamouli’s directo-
rial abilities make the film a must
