The Day Of My Birthday Party Essay
Caregiver It was the day of my seventeenth birthday party and everything seemed to be going perfect. I woke up early to shower and get ready
because I had made plans with my boyfriend Nathen to go to Mrs. J's for breakfast. I told my mom I loved her and that I would see her in about an
hour. I gave her a hug and kiss and stepped out the door. I got in my car and headed into town. It is a ten minute drive from my house to orrville. I
called Nathen and told him I was on my way. As we started to order our food, I realized I had forgot to tell my mom what I wanted her to get me. I
texted her because when I left she told me she was going to finish the laundry and then run errands to get everything for the day. As we finished our
meals, I checked my phone and noticed that she had never replied. I called her as we got outside and I could just tell from the tone in her voice
that something sounded wrong "Hey Mom, did you get my text?" "What? I can't talk on the phone right now," she replied. She sounded as though
she had just woken up from a nap. "Mom, did you fall asleep? Nathen and I just got done and we're about to head back to the house. Are you okay?" I
was worried but I hoped that she did not hear it in my voice. "Yes Kelsi, i'm fine, i 'm just tired and I need to go I can 't talk on the phone." this time,
she sounded tired and angry. "Well wheres Bayli and Dad?" I asked right as I remembered my dad had just gone to the hospital to see his friend. "Your

'I can 't bare to tell them the truth, it 's, it 's uh, too, scarring. I fucking killed my own best friend, at her own birthday party too. ' That horrid
memory has been eating me alive since I was three, 'Yeah when you killed her. ' "Jake! Get up!" Luke yells. "Okay! I 'm coming!" I shout back. Since
"that" day, I 've made a new best friend, Rylie, who lives here in Sydney. We 're the same in a lot of ways, taste in music, socially awkward, and can
make each other laugh hysterically. So we 're perfect to be best friends. "Jake, hurry up!" Michael presses. "Okay!" I screech. 'Wait, what day is it?
Oh shit, it 's my birthday... How could I forget my own birthday? ' I run downstairs still in my pyjamas. 'Mmm bacon. ' " "Where 's the bacon?" I
yell. "Over here on the pan." Ashton chuckles. "Bacon!" I squeal. "Yup, Jake 's feelings towards bacon haven 't changed." Calum affirms. 'Well I
can 't tell them now. ' I sigh softly. "What 's up Bug?" Luke asks, a concerned look clouding his ocean eyes. "Hmm? Oh, nothing." I mutter. The rest
of my birthday boring, eat dinner, have cake, go back up to my room. Luke follows me to my room. "Princess, what 's wrong?" He wonders. "Uh, I don
't want to talk about it." I murmur. "Why?" He mumbles. "I just can 't." I exclaim. "Jake, tell me." He prods. "Fine," I snap. "I fucking killed my best

Personal Narrative: My 18th Birthday Essay
"Happy Birthday", my mom screamed out and scared me the morning of June 9. But it was surprising and nice of her since she wished me before
anyone else. It was my eighteen birthday and it was my day. While looking out the big windows in my room, I thought to myself, I will do what
satisfies me today, but wasn't quite sure what? I didn't receive any calls from my friends, or other relatives. Nobody was home either besides my
mom with whom I can't make plans because she got her own work to do. It depressed me because it seemed like this was going to be one boring
eighteen birthday.
After half an hour of waiting for someone to call and my sister and dad to come home also thinking about what to do. I gave up and went to take a
shower. When...show more content...
I thought about checking my phone and when I did I had seven missed calls and two voicemails. One from my boyfriend and the other my friend
wishing me happy birthday. It was great to hear from them finally. That's when I called my boyfriend to hang out. Unfortunately he said he was busy, I
was very disappointed.
It was 2:00pm, I spent almost the whole day roaming around the house doing nothing, just thinking about everyone else. How come everyone was
busy today? I assumed half of my friends forgot it was my birthday. At 3:45pm our door bell rang. Out of curiosity I ran downstairs to check and it
was my childhood friend Trisha. While wishing me happy birthday, she gave me a friendly hug. Then we went to my room. There she took out
pictures from when we were young, candy jewelry we played with when we were young. It was basically a reminder to me that no matter how old
any of us get, we'll always be stupid little kids at heart and will stick together. It was a wonderful and a thoughtful gift, but that was not it. She went
outside to her car to get something, and when she returned it was another gift, a beautiful blue dress with a design coming out from the left side and a
slight cut on both sides.
Trisha stayed at my house up to 7:00pm. We talked, ate snacks, watched T.V, and had a lot of fun. It would have been more fun if my sister and
friends were here. At 7:15pm Trisha told me to change into the dress she got me, and that we were going to go out.

Personal Narrative Essay : My Birthday
The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of
sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of
bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the
red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very little noise, checking to see if anyone else was awake. I peeked
through the intricate staircase railings and tried to spot anyone downstairs, no one was in sight. I tiptoed down the cream coloured stairs, reached the
bottom and got startled when my mom yelled, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!", her voice bouncing off the walls of house. A grin so big spread across my face,
I couldn't believe I was turning four years old!
Soon after that my sister and dad awoke, it was time to celebrate! I had my favourite breakfast, scrumptious waffles, with vibrant berries. The sweet
wafts of syrup scented heat made my mouth water. Since we were going to celebrate my birthday in the evening, me and my sister decide to play
some games to pass the time. We played Monopoly and Jenga! Our Monopoly game felt like it lasted for ages because the game could go on forever.
She ended up winning, she had five hotels! Then we played Jenga. It took us some time to build the tower because I kept knocking it over by

My Best Birthday of My Life
Had you ever had the craziest birthday? Like so crazy you might even lose your head? Well, I had a birthday like that too! This is my story about
my craziest birthday and my best birthday ever. One day, it was a peaceful morning. Everyone woke up so calm. With birds singing and the beautiful
sun awake, until when I woke up. When I woke up, it wasn't that peaceful, I was screaming so loud saying," IT'S MY BIRTHDAYPEOPLE! YES!" I
screamed as loud as a seagull screaming. So, I got out of bed like I just don't care and danced to the bathroom and got ready to have fun because, it's
my birthday! Who doesn't like their own birthday? When I got ready, I told my mom," Where are we going for my birthday?" My mom...show more

My mom wanted me to be happy so we drove to her house to see if she is still home, but she wasn't home. So we drove back home. Before I left,
because there were a lot of people, I told my friends, Jessica and Elise also my sister, to make sure my room doesn't get into a big mess, I was really
positive that they can make sure my room is clean because they were the best. But then, when I came home after a quick little check and walked
quietly to my room, I couldn't believe my eyes! Now a quick question, had you ever had a room so messy that even looks like a zoo? I mean like, AN
ACTUAL ZOO! Well I did just when I entered my room, so, when I was in my room with a little dance,I got some dance moves. Back to the story, it
was like, a big ZOO, like an actual ZOO! IT WAS A MESS!
Jessica and Elise also my sister, Suri, (she is a great sister, like she is a really good sister) said, "That the other people made a big mess and we were
trying to make it clean. We even screamed stop making a mess." Now I was screaming like crazy in my head after that mess!
I told them,"At least you guys tried, but this is still a mess!" But it was ok because it was easy for me to clean. Then the doorbell rang, everyone was
silent like a mouse. I walked to the door and opened it. When I opened the door, I was SO SURPRISED , and it cheered me up too! It was my friend,
Virginia, (Virginia is a great friend to have) she came back to the United States after

My First Birthday
It was my tenth birthday. I woke up that day overly excited for my age to finally be in the "double digits." I didn't know that birthday would be one
I'd never forget and turn out to be a day that changed my life forever. I come from your regular, working class family. My parents have been
together since they were teenagers and they had two kids, myself and my younger brother, Taylor. My parents did (and still do) everything possible
to make sure my brother and I were happy. I was also lucky enough to have my dad's mother, my grandmother, who would also do anything to make
sure we were happy. I remember being at my grandma's house as a child and watching her make us breakfast, sitting in the poor lit kitchen, around a
country–style table. I can still remember the sound of her voice, the way her house smelled, the way she smelled and how it felt to hug her. I was
never called by my name, she only referred to me as "her baby." Which I was, there was no question about it. My grandma had four children
including my dad. Of her four children, she ended up with seven grandchildren. My brother and I being the youngest, we were the apples of her eye.
She was a Kentucky grown woman with Kentucky blood. She smoked cigarettes the entire time I knew her, even when she was wearing oxygen. The
day of my tenth birthday, my mom told me I could do whatever it was I wanted. I chose to go see the new Adam Sandler movie playing at the local $1
theater in town. Afterwards, we spent the day

Essay on The Day I forgot My Birthday
It was a beautiful sunny morning; you could hear the birds singing in the background. I just woke up after a long sleep. It was now 11am and
everyone was awake whizzing all around the house and I wondered what all the havoc was about. I came across my mum and asked, "What was
going on". I got no reply. It was like my mum didn't even see me if I was invisible. After that I could not be bothered to ask because it looked like
another busy Sunday morning.
Later on the day I was getting bored and nothing was on the skinny TV of ours. Suddenly I hear a knock on the front door. I slowly got up as I always
do and went to see who had interpreted my lonely boredom. When I opened the door the sun shone through the doorway and I was blinded for a...show

They both sat around me like I was a convict. Before they mumbled on to me I interrupted their long arguing conversation and said, "I am not in the
mood for this, please do this somewhere else". But that was not enough to get their lazy arse away from me and they got me to pay some attention to
their argument. They both stated their case before me as I was like some judge at a high court, but I didn't even catch a word what they were saying.
All I understood was that they were arguing about those new good looking phones.
After they finished with their argument, I don't know why my brain was whizzing with thoughts trying to tell me something really important. I tried to
concentrate but I couldn't as I was so indulged into the mouth watering Swiss chocolate which had been bought by my cousins for some specific
reason. Don't know why. I was just about to pick up the blue box containing the Swiss chocolate but I was stopped by another resounding knock on the
door. I wondered to my confused self what was so important today that the old rusty won't stop making noise.
I approached quickly this time towards the door as I couldn't resist the delusion of the box of Swiss chocolate. I opened the waiting old door once
again, this time on my doorstep were my family friends standing before me as I they had come for some kind of a party. I did not ask what occasion
they had come for with their orange, green and yellow clothes on. This had made

Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party
The time for my birthday party was approaching. I remember running around and trying to make sure that everything was in order. At the time I
thought this was going to be one of the biggest days of my life. I had been been preparing for this day for weeks and weeks on end. I poured my heart
out into every aspect of the planning. I hand–wrote all my invitations. I filled the pages of my notebooks with crayon drawings of exactly how I wanted
the day to go. My venue of choice was Amazing Jake's. I was a shy, lonely eight year old at the time and I felt as though this would be my big break.
My mom spent the morning with me getting me dressed for my event. I wore my favorite yellow sundress and asked my mom to french braid my
hair. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup at the time but I decided to break that rule. I felt like a little bit of sparkly grape lip gloss was essential to
completing my look. On the way to my party, I felt my nerves set in. It was finally time. I strode into the venue straight towards my assigned party
room. My parents and I set out all the paper plates and cups. I filled up bowls with chips, candy, and made my cake the centerpiece of the table. I
couldn't help but admire all the pretty neon lights that surrounded me. I couldn't stop thinking of pretend conversations between me and my classmates. I
thought I was a genius for choosing this place. It was so much more interesting than a small get together at my house would have been. You don't
feel like playing any games? You can relax in the room and enjoy as much food as you want. You don't like the food we have? There's a buffet right
around the corner. You feel like bowling? Playing Laser Tag? You can do both. I had every possible scenario planned out.
One o'clock finally rolls around. I was overcome with excitement. This moment had been all I could think about for the past two weeks. It was
time for me to overcome my shyness and make some friends. I made my way to the entrance to greet my classmates. I didn't see anyone. I paced
around the lobby for a little while longer, but I grew bored. By this time, everyone was already fifteen minutes late. Nobody had checked in or called.
I made my way back to my parents and sat down. I was starting

Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party
It was hot, sticky, and humid as I walked towards the park where Carly was having her birthday party. I had no desire to go there in the first place,
for it was not only the hottest day of summer, but my mother had made me walk there since she had to take the car. Carly wasn't even my friend,
my best friend Emma and I are just nice to her because she doesn't really have friends. That's one reason for why she's usually the topic of
conversation back at school, that and the fact that she doesn't exactly look like "ninth grade material". Besides, she is the mayor's daughter, so I felt
like I had no choice but to go. I kept brushing the sweaty hair off of my face. Why couldn't this stupid party be during summer instead of right when
school started?
When I arrived at the park, Emma ran towards me and whispered "Sarah, thank heavens you're here, I thought you wouldn't come after all". I hugged
her. "No, I wouldn't leave you here alone", I said, only half joking. We both giggled and slowly headed towards the party.
When we both arrived at the canopy where the party was at, Carly immediately approached me and gave me a bear hug. I was instantly filled with
anxiety, as the hug lasted for way longer then I was expecting.
"Um.....hi Carly, Happy Birthday!", I said, as she released me from her grip and I could breathe again. "I'm so glad you made it!", she cried. " Now
everyone is here!" I instantly shot a look of guilt at Emma– our expressions proved we were both thinking the same thing: we were the only ones
coming. To prove our claim, I asked Carly, "So when are the other girls coming?". I realized I made a mistake by asking her that, because she
immediately frowned. "What's wrong?", Emma asked. She shot me a look that said what were you thinking Sarah? I mouthed the word sorry and
Carly started speaking. "Well, it's just that I don't think the other girls like me very much. I heard them call me 'weird' and 'socially awkward' behind
my back the other day when I was going to remind them to RSVP.", she replied.
The guilt knot in my stomach grew tighter and I started to feel queasy. I felt terrible for not wanting to go. I'm such a horrible person, I thought.
After several moments of awkward silence, Emma casually

the soap in the cup full of water when I looked at the cup I could see the soap sitting on top of the water I thought to myself even if he puts the net
ok the cup it will either fall off due to weight or the water will go through the holes of the net maybe both. After he put the net on the cup he gave it

probably have to clean it all up when it spilled over. I closed my eyes as I fully tipped the cup over so the bottom was pointed up

Personal Narrative Essay : A Birthday Party
A blue blow up pool with "INTEX" branded along its side jiggled with the weight of rambunctious six year olds attempting to create a whirlpool by
running in circles inside its perimeter. The water rocked and sloshed over the plump lip of the pool, onto a beach towel and sandals that were resting
on the ground, too close to the pool. My mom would never let me have a pool like that because she said someone would wander into our yard and
drown in it. Living in the country, my cousins never had to worry about that.
On the patio, my uncle was firing up the grill to barbecue burgers and hotdogs. The smell of the charred coals wafted throughout the grassy yard as the
other adults sat at a sun–baked, wooden picnic table, sipping on Bud Lights. The growing pile of cans sagged in a flimsy white garbage bag taped to
the side of the table. I watched as my dad set down his beer and left a thumbprint in the beads of condensation on the can.
It was my cousin kayla's sixth birthday party. Fortunately, it was a clear, sunny day, because the week leading up to it was filled with rainy and
dark days. I had been looking forward to this party because I only saw my cousins every few months; they lived two and a half hours away. They still
live in the same house, but now I only see them at odd family gatherings every couple of years. Although we all enjoyed playing together as children,
as we got older, we lost interest in doing that. I considered them to be some of my best friends during the

Essay On My Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party
November 14th, 2015 had finally arrived! This day, my best friend, Rachel, would be having her sweet sixteen birthday party. Though the party was
not until the evening, I spent all day prepping for it. I woke up at the crack of dawn, showered thoroughly, shaved my prickly legs, ate my daily
breakfast, put on some makeup, and waited for the agonizing time to pass. At the time, I did not realize that this weekend would change my outlook on
life.
As the day slowly crept into the evening, it was finally time to leave for the party. I had just turned sixteen a few months prior, so it was my first
time driving to Rachel's house. I had no idea where I was going. On my way there, I went the wrong way and ended up at someone else's house. She was

This decision was a big mistake.
Since I did not know any of Rachel's friends, I rode the four–wheeler with Rachel, while the other girls rode with each other. The hours seemed like
seconds to us, due to how amused we were. Consequently, we still wanted to spice things up a little more. Therefore, Rachel andI decided to race
another girl, Alyssa, on the trails within the woods.
We were relentless and did not have a care in the world, going over forty–five miles an hour. We were the ones being chased, trying to get away from
Alyssa. I was the passenger on the four–wheeler, while Rachel was the driver. She was much more skilled than I was, so I thought it would be safer
for her to drive. Again, another error was made.
The trails were very rocky and unstable, though we weren't concerned at the time. We figured out soon enough that this was definitely a concern. As we
were hitting the forty–five mile per hour mark, we hit a rough patch within the trail, which veered the front tire left, leading us straight into the thick
forest.
It seemed as if everything happened within a nanosecond. I closed my eyes as tight as I could, being so frightened of what was to come. Rachel came
out spick and span, but I did not. The last thing I remember was seeing complete darkness and star–like dots; kind of like a beautiful, summer evening
sky.
The next thing I know, I was waking up on the leafy floor of the woods; my head being in excruciating pain, my shoe

Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party
"Today is going to be perfect!" I told myself. It was April 1, 2012, and it was my birthday. I had just finished a long, boring day of school when I
started to wait for my eighth birthday party. My mom and I had spent the entire afternoon searching for cakes, birthday favors, and more. This was all
to lead up to my party. The party was going to be a star–wars themed birthday party with all sorts of decorations. It was going to be at Kid's Kingdom,
a gymnastics center, where we would jump on trampolines. That was assuming I would be able to jump.
We left the house and began driving to Kid's Kingdom. I stepped out of the car and immediately tripped over a rock. That was the worst thing I
would have ever thought would happen on a birthday. When we went in Kid's Kingdom, we began to set up decorations. We put the cake in place,
got the table set, got the silverware out, and we were then waiting for the kids to come. There was still half an hour until the party was going to start,
so we waited in the party room. We stood in there for around 10 minutes until I lost my patience, so I left and jumped on the trampolines early. I had
then remembered there was a new slide that had just opened.
This slide was ginormous. It stood extremely high, and it was completely made of wood. I had to walk up these very steep and narrow stairs to be
able to get on it. My mom had warned me to watch my step going up the stairs, but I didn't listen. I was too excited to finally slide down it. As I was
running up the stairs, my mom called my name. "Gerson!" yelled my mom. I turned and moved an inch too forward. Without a breath, I collapsed
down the stairs, and I felt every stair hit my body before I hit my head extremely hard on the oak floor. The bang sounded like someone slamming a
book against a desk. The room was completely quiet. The silence was broken when I let out a screech like no other. My parents came, and they
brought me to the front desk in the lobby. The employee looked as terrified as I was. My parents sat me on the desk while they scrambled to get
their keys. When I looked in front of me, I saw the sad faces. All of my friends walked by, and I didn't know what to say. They all had blank
expressions not knowing what to

My Best Birthday Party
Let me take you back to the best birthday party of my life. The civil war birthday. It was three days before my favorite movie came out. But I didn't
know that yet. My party was still unplanned and we were trying to brainstorm what to do. My birthday was six days away, I didn't have a guest list
or anything. I was racking my brain about how I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I knew I would have to come up with something before it was too
late. Then I saw a preview of the movie and I knew it right then and there, I want to do that for my birthday.––My mom knew nothing about it. She said
when do you want to do it and I said, the very first day it comes out. She asked me if I was sure because it is going to be pretty packed. For a second
I couldn't tell if it was my mom I was talking to. She said she does not want to waste her money. Especially if I'm just going to change my mind at
the last minute. And I said I am absolutely sure, I want to go the first day it comes out. Well, it was time to go to school. And that meant I had to
hand out my invitations. My guest wasn't that big, so it wouldn't take long. I mean, yeah I had a couple people on there. But I had way more
invites than I needed. My mom gave them to me just in case I wanted to make it up as I go. I had a lot of people that I was going to give handouts to
on my bus. And my bus didn't exactly have the world's best bus seats either.it had holes in the seats. You could pull out candy wrappers from the seats.

the party you need to make sure you have a specific date that works for you. There is no such thing as a perfect time to have a birthday party,
however, the closer to your birthday it is the better and the best days to have them on are the weekend. Most people don't have work on weekend
which will make sure that you have as many of your guests in attendance. The way you invite people is important as well. The world we live in
relies on technology so the easiest way to reach people is most likely through email or text or an invite on Facebook, that also leaves them with
something they can easily refer back to if they forget when or where the party is being help. Food is an essential part to any birthday party or gathering

birthday party
"Birthday Party" by Katherine Brush uses literary devices such as tone, point of view, diction, and sensory details to achieve her purpose. The title of
this short story is very deceiving the tone is different from the tone of the story. The tone changes from happy to sad as soon as the cake is brought
out. The women tried to show affection and love towards her husband by the cake but it was basically turned down. The point of view is through a
random person who doesn't know the couple at all. The speaker doesn't know how they are as a couple but can see that the woman is upset at her
husband's reaction to the cake. "You looked at him and you saw this and you thought, "Oh, now, don't be like that!" this quote almost lets us know that

People in the restaurant give a polite and almost desperate applause, but the husband is "hotly embarrassed" (line twelve about his wife 's "little
surprise". In the final paragraph, Brush clearly reveals her sentiments about the husband 's response, coloring him as cruel and "unkind" (line
eighteen). The line "You looked at him and you saw this and you thought, 'Oh, now don 't be like that!" and the author 's italicization of the word
"be" implies a certain amount of disgust for a husband who is trying to crush his wife 's jovial spirit. With a spit of contempt, Brush adds that "he was
like that" (line fifteen), intensifying her anger and disapprobation of his meanness. Brush supplies a list of words to describe what the husband
muttered to his wife as "some punishing thing, quick and curt and unkind" (line eighteen). The lengthened syntax in this sentence has the feel of the
husband 's criticism of his wife for essentially being sweet to him. He comes off as a nasty man too concerned with his macho, stoical reputation to
take a moment to be nice to his wife and thank her for remembering his birthday. "Birthday Party" is an ironic story with an ironic title. What this
husband and wife experience is certainly no party, but merely another miserable episode in their unenviable

The Day Of My Birthday Party Essay

  • 1. The Day Of My Birthday Party Essay Caregiver It was the day of my seventeenth birthday party and everything seemed to be going perfect. I woke up early to shower and get ready because I had made plans with my boyfriend Nathen to go to Mrs. J's for breakfast. I told my mom I loved her and that I would see her in about an hour. I gave her a hug and kiss and stepped out the door. I got in my car and headed into town. It is a ten minute drive from my house to orrville. I called Nathen and told him I was on my way. As we started to order our food, I realized I had forgot to tell my mom what I wanted her to get me. I texted her because when I left she told me she was going to finish the laundry and then run errands to get everything for the day. As we finished our meals, I checked my phone and noticed that she had never replied. I called her as we got outside and I could just tell from the tone in her voice that something sounded wrong "Hey Mom, did you get my text?" "What? I can't talk on the phone right now," she replied. She sounded as though she had just woken up from a nap. "Mom, did you fall asleep? Nathen and I just got done and we're about to head back to the house. Are you okay?" I was worried but I hoped that she did not hear it in my voice. "Yes Kelsi, i'm fine, i 'm just tired and I need to go I can 't talk on the phone." this time, she sounded tired and angry. "Well wheres Bayli and Dad?" I asked right as I remembered my dad had just gone to the hospital to see his friend. "Your dads at the hospital Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Birthday Party 'I can 't bare to tell them the truth, it 's, it 's uh, too, scarring. I fucking killed my own best friend, at her own birthday party too. ' That horrid memory has been eating me alive since I was three, 'Yeah when you killed her. ' "Jake! Get up!" Luke yells. "Okay! I 'm coming!" I shout back. Since "that" day, I 've made a new best friend, Rylie, who lives here in Sydney. We 're the same in a lot of ways, taste in music, socially awkward, and can make each other laugh hysterically. So we 're perfect to be best friends. "Jake, hurry up!" Michael presses. "Okay!" I screech. 'Wait, what day is it? Oh shit, it 's my birthday... How could I forget my own birthday? ' I run downstairs still in my pyjamas. 'Mmm bacon. ' " "Where 's the bacon?" I yell. "Over here on the pan." Ashton chuckles. "Bacon!" I squeal. "Yup, Jake 's feelings towards bacon haven 't changed." Calum affirms. 'Well I can 't tell them now. ' I sigh softly. "What 's up Bug?" Luke asks, a concerned look clouding his ocean eyes. "Hmm? Oh, nothing." I mutter. The rest of my birthday boring, eat dinner, have cake, go back up to my room. Luke follows me to my room. "Princess, what 's wrong?" He wonders. "Uh, I don 't want to talk about it." I murmur. "Why?" He mumbles. "I just can 't." I exclaim. "Jake, tell me." He prods. "Fine," I snap. "I fucking killed my best friend when I was fucking three." "What? Who?" He stammers. "Mikayla." Michael states. "How did you know?" Luke queries. "I was there." He responds, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Personal Narrative: My 18th Birthday Essay "Happy Birthday", my mom screamed out and scared me the morning of June 9. But it was surprising and nice of her since she wished me before anyone else. It was my eighteen birthday and it was my day. While looking out the big windows in my room, I thought to myself, I will do what satisfies me today, but wasn't quite sure what? I didn't receive any calls from my friends, or other relatives. Nobody was home either besides my mom with whom I can't make plans because she got her own work to do. It depressed me because it seemed like this was going to be one boring eighteen birthday. After half an hour of waiting for someone to call and my sister and dad to come home also thinking about what to do. I gave up and went to take a shower. When...show more content... I thought about checking my phone and when I did I had seven missed calls and two voicemails. One from my boyfriend and the other my friend wishing me happy birthday. It was great to hear from them finally. That's when I called my boyfriend to hang out. Unfortunately he said he was busy, I was very disappointed. It was 2:00pm, I spent almost the whole day roaming around the house doing nothing, just thinking about everyone else. How come everyone was busy today? I assumed half of my friends forgot it was my birthday. At 3:45pm our door bell rang. Out of curiosity I ran downstairs to check and it was my childhood friend Trisha. While wishing me happy birthday, she gave me a friendly hug. Then we went to my room. There she took out pictures from when we were young, candy jewelry we played with when we were young. It was basically a reminder to me that no matter how old any of us get, we'll always be stupid little kids at heart and will stick together. It was a wonderful and a thoughtful gift, but that was not it. She went outside to her car to get something, and when she returned it was another gift, a beautiful blue dress with a design coming out from the left side and a slight cut on both sides. Trisha stayed at my house up to 7:00pm. We talked, ate snacks, watched T.V, and had a lot of fun. It would have been more fun if my sister and friends were here. At 7:15pm Trisha told me to change into the dress she got me, and that we were going to go out. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Personal Narrative Essay : My Birthday The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very little noise, checking to see if anyone else was awake. I peeked through the intricate staircase railings and tried to spot anyone downstairs, no one was in sight. I tiptoed down the cream coloured stairs, reached the bottom and got startled when my mom yelled, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!", her voice bouncing off the walls of house. A grin so big spread across my face, I couldn't believe I was turning four years old! Soon after that my sister and dad awoke, it was time to celebrate! I had my favourite breakfast, scrumptious waffles, with vibrant berries. The sweet wafts of syrup scented heat made my mouth water. Since we were going to celebrate my birthday in the evening, me and my sister decide to play some games to pass the time. We played Monopoly and Jenga! Our Monopoly game felt like it lasted for ages because the game could go on forever. She ended up winning, she had five hotels! Then we played Jenga. It took us some time to build the tower because I kept knocking it over by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Best Birthday of My Life Had you ever had the craziest birthday? Like so crazy you might even lose your head? Well, I had a birthday like that too! This is my story about my craziest birthday and my best birthday ever. One day, it was a peaceful morning. Everyone woke up so calm. With birds singing and the beautiful sun awake, until when I woke up. When I woke up, it wasn't that peaceful, I was screaming so loud saying," IT'S MY BIRTHDAYPEOPLE! YES!" I screamed as loud as a seagull screaming. So, I got out of bed like I just don't care and danced to the bathroom and got ready to have fun because, it's my birthday! Who doesn't like their own birthday? When I got ready, I told my mom," Where are we going for my birthday?" My mom...show more content... My mom wanted me to be happy so we drove to her house to see if she is still home, but she wasn't home. So we drove back home. Before I left, because there were a lot of people, I told my friends, Jessica and Elise also my sister, to make sure my room doesn't get into a big mess, I was really positive that they can make sure my room is clean because they were the best. But then, when I came home after a quick little check and walked quietly to my room, I couldn't believe my eyes! Now a quick question, had you ever had a room so messy that even looks like a zoo? I mean like, AN ACTUAL ZOO! Well I did just when I entered my room, so, when I was in my room with a little dance,I got some dance moves. Back to the story, it was like, a big ZOO, like an actual ZOO! IT WAS A MESS! Jessica and Elise also my sister, Suri, (she is a great sister, like she is a really good sister) said, "That the other people made a big mess and we were trying to make it clean. We even screamed stop making a mess." Now I was screaming like crazy in my head after that mess! I told them,"At least you guys tried, but this is still a mess!" But it was ok because it was easy for me to clean. Then the doorbell rang, everyone was silent like a mouse. I walked to the door and opened it. When I opened the door, I was SO SURPRISED , and it cheered me up too! • 6. My First Birthday It was my tenth birthday. I woke up that day overly excited for my age to finally be in the "double digits." I didn't know that birthday would be one I'd never forget and turn out to be a day that changed my life forever. I come from your regular, working class family. My parents have been together since they were teenagers and they had two kids, myself and my younger brother, Taylor. My parents did (and still do) everything possible to make sure my brother and I were happy. I was also lucky enough to have my dad's mother, my grandmother, who would also do anything to make sure we were happy. I remember being at my grandma's house as a child and watching her make us breakfast, sitting in the poor lit kitchen, around a country–style table. I can still remember the sound of her voice, the way her house smelled, the way she smelled and how it felt to hug her. I was never called by my name, she only referred to me as "her baby." Which I was, there was no question about it. My grandma had four children including my dad. Of her four children, she ended up with seven grandchildren. My brother and I being the youngest, we were the apples of her eye. She was a Kentucky grown woman with Kentucky blood. She smoked cigarettes the entire time I knew her, even when she was wearing oxygen. The day of my tenth birthday, my mom told me I could do whatever it was I wanted. I chose to go see the new Adam Sandler movie playing at the local $1 theater in town. Afterwards, we spent the day Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay on The Day I forgot My Birthday It was a beautiful sunny morning; you could hear the birds singing in the background. I just woke up after a long sleep. It was now 11am and everyone was awake whizzing all around the house and I wondered what all the havoc was about. I came across my mum and asked, "What was going on". I got no reply. It was like my mum didn't even see me if I was invisible. After that I could not be bothered to ask because it looked like another busy Sunday morning. Later on the day I was getting bored and nothing was on the skinny TV of ours. Suddenly I hear a knock on the front door. But that was not enough to get their lazy arse away from me and they got me to pay some attention to their argument. They both stated their case before me as I was like some judge at a high court, but I didn't even catch a word what they were saying. All I understood was that they were arguing about those new good looking phones. After they finished with their argument, I don't know why my brain was whizzing with thoughts trying to tell me something really important. I tried to concentrate but I couldn't as I was so indulged into the mouth watering Swiss chocolate which had been bought by my cousins for some specific reason. Don't know why. I was just about to pick up the blue box containing the Swiss chocolate but I was stopped by another resounding knock on the door. I wondered to my confused self what was so important today that the old rusty won't stop making noise. I approached quickly this time towards the door as I couldn't resist the delusion of the box of Swiss chocolate. I opened the waiting old door once again, this time on my doorstep were my family friends standing before me as I they had come for some kind of a party. I did not ask what occasion they had come for with their orange, green and yellow clothes on. This had made Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party The time for my birthday party was approaching. I remember running around and trying to make sure that everything was in order. At the time I thought this was going to be one of the biggest days of my life. I had been been preparing for this day for weeks and weeks on end. I poured my heart out into every aspect of the planning. I hand–wrote all my invitations. I filled the pages of my notebooks with crayon drawings of exactly how I wanted the day to go. My venue of choice was Amazing Jake's. I was a shy, lonely eight year old at the time and I felt as though this would be my big break. My mom spent the morning with me getting me dressed for my event. I wore my favorite yellow sundress and asked my mom to french braid my hair. I wasn't allowed to wear makeup at the time but I decided to break that rule. I felt like a little bit of sparkly grape lip gloss was essential to completing my look. On the way to my party, I felt my nerves set in. It was finally time. I strode into the venue straight towards my assigned party room. My parents and I set out all the paper plates and cups. I filled up bowls with chips, candy, and made my cake the centerpiece of the table. I couldn't help but admire all the pretty neon lights that surrounded me. I couldn't stop thinking of pretend conversations between me and my classmates. I thought I was a genius for choosing this place. It was so much more interesting than a small get together at my house would have been. You don't feel like playing any games? You can relax in the room and enjoy as much food as you want. You don't like the food we have? There's a buffet right around the corner. You feel like bowling? Playing Laser Tag? You can do both. I had every possible scenario planned out. One o'clock finally rolls around. I was overcome with excitement. This moment had been all I could think about for the past two weeks. It was time for me to overcome my shyness and make some friends. I made my way to the entrance to greet my classmates. I didn't see anyone. I paced around the lobby for a little while longer, but I grew bored. By this time, everyone was already fifteen minutes late. Nobody had checked in or called. I made my way back to my parents and sat down. I was starting Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party It was hot, sticky, and humid as I walked towards the park where Carly was having her birthday party. I had no desire to go there in the first place, for it was not only the hottest day of summer, but my mother had made me walk there since she had to take the car. Carly wasn't even my friend, my best friend Emma and I are just nice to her because she doesn't really have friends. That's one reason for why she's usually the topic of conversation back at school, that and the fact that she doesn't exactly look like "ninth grade material". Besides, she is the mayor's daughter, so I felt like I had no choice but to go. I kept brushing the sweaty hair off of my face. Why couldn't this stupid party be during summer instead of right when school started? When I arrived at the park, Emma ran towards me and whispered "Sarah, thank heavens you're here, I thought you wouldn't come after all". I hugged her. "No, I wouldn't leave you here alone", I said, only half joking. We both giggled and slowly headed towards the party. When we both arrived at the canopy where the party was at, Carly immediately approached me and gave me a bear hug. I was instantly filled with anxiety, as the hug lasted for way longer then I was expecting. "Um.....hi Carly, Happy Birthday!", I said, as she released me from her grip and I could breathe again. "I'm so glad you made it!", she cried. " Now everyone is here!" I instantly shot a look of guilt at Emma– our expressions proved we were both thinking the same thing: we were the only ones coming. To prove our claim, I asked Carly, "So when are the other girls coming?". I realized I made a mistake by asking her that, because she immediately frowned. "What's wrong?", Emma asked. She shot me a look that said what were you thinking Sarah? I mouthed the word sorry and Carly started speaking. "Well, it's just that I don't think the other girls like me very much. I heard them call me 'weird' and 'socially awkward' behind my back the other day when I was going to remind them to RSVP.", she replied. The guilt knot in my stomach grew tighter and I started to feel queasy. I felt terrible for not wanting to go. I'm such a horrible person, I thought. After several moments of awkward silence, Emma casually Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The first thing he did was bring out a cup of water then he pulled out a bottle of soap. Next thing he did was pour all of the water out in a bucket then refilled his cup after that he pulled out something that looked like net.The net had tiny little spaces on it for that water to flow out he put the cup and poured it out again then he said "now how can I make this water stay in the only using the net and the soap." Nobody raised their hands he put the soap in the cup full of water when I looked at the cup I could see the soap sitting on top of the water I thought to myself even if he puts the net ok the cup it will either fall off due to weight or the water will go through the holes of the net maybe both. After he put the net on the cup he gave it to me "now I would like you to dump the cup on the ground," "Really," I said hesitantly "yep." Slowly I tipped the cup over thinking that if I would probably have to clean it all up when it spilled over. • 11. Personal Narrative Essay : A Birthday Party A blue blow up pool with "INTEX" branded along its side jiggled with the weight of rambunctious six year olds attempting to create a whirlpool by running in circles inside its perimeter. The water rocked and sloshed over the plump lip of the pool, onto a beach towel and sandals that were resting on the ground, too close to the pool. My mom would never let me have a pool like that because she said someone would wander into our yard and drown in it. Living in the country, my cousins never had to worry about that. On the patio, my uncle was firing up the grill to barbecue burgers and hotdogs. The smell of the charred coals wafted throughout the grassy yard as the other adults sat at a sun–baked, wooden picnic table, sipping on Bud Lights. The growing pile of cans sagged in a flimsy white garbage bag taped to the side of the table. I watched as my dad set down his beer and left a thumbprint in the beads of condensation on the can. It was my cousin kayla's sixth birthday party. Fortunately, it was a clear, sunny day, because the week leading up to it was filled with rainy and dark days. I had been looking forward to this party because I only saw my cousins every few months; they lived two and a half hours away. They still live in the same house, but now I only see them at odd family gatherings every couple of years. Although we all enjoyed playing together as children, as we got older, we lost interest in doing that. I considered them to be some of my best friends during the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Essay On My Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party November 14th, 2015 had finally arrived! This day, my best friend, Rachel, would be having her sweet sixteen birthday party. Though the party was not until the evening, I spent all day prepping for it. I woke up at the crack of dawn, showered thoroughly, shaved my prickly legs, ate my daily breakfast, put on some makeup, and waited for the agonizing time to pass. At the time, I did not realize that this weekend would change my outlook on life. As the day slowly crept into the evening, it was finally time to leave for the party. I had just turned sixteen a few months prior, so it was my first time driving to Rachel's house. I had no idea where I was going. On my way there, I went the wrong way and ended up at someone else's house. She was ...show more content... This decision was a big mistake. Since I did not know any of Rachel's friends, I rode the four–wheeler with Rachel, while the other girls rode with each other. The hours seemed like seconds to us, due to how amused we were. Consequently, we still wanted to spice things up a little more. Therefore, Rachel andI decided to race another girl, Alyssa, on the trails within the woods. We were relentless and did not have a care in the world, going over forty–five miles an hour. We were the ones being chased, trying to get away from Alyssa. I was the passenger on the four–wheeler, while Rachel was the driver. She was much more skilled than I was, so I thought it would be safer for her to drive. Again, another error was made. The trails were very rocky and unstable, though we weren't concerned at the time. We figured out soon enough that this was definitely a concern. As we were hitting the forty–five mile per hour mark, we hit a rough patch within the trail, which veered the front tire left, leading us straight into the thick forest. It seemed as if everything happened within a nanosecond. I closed my eyes as tight as I could, being so frightened of what was to come. Rachel came out spick and span, but I did not. The last thing I remember was seeing complete darkness and star–like dots; kind of like a beautiful, summer evening sky. The next thing I know, I was waking up on the leafy floor of the woods; my head being in excruciating pain, my shoe Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Since "that" day, I 've made a new best friend, Rylie, who lives here in Sydney, Australia. We 're the same in a lot of ways, same taste in music, we 're both socially awkward at times, and we can make each other laugh hysterically. So we 're perfect to be best friends. "Jake, hurry up!" "Okay!" 'Wait, what day is it? Oh shit it 's my birthday... How could I forget my own birthday? ' I run downstairs still in my pyjamas, I don 't care though. 'Mmm bacon. ' " Where 's the bacon?" I yell. "Over here on the pan." "Bacon!" "Yup, Jake 's feelings towards bacon haven 't changed." "No duh, you dummy." 'Well I can 't tell them now. ' I sigh softly. "What 's up Bug?" "Hmm? "Uh, I don 't want to talk about it." "Why?" "Because you 'll call me a psycho, and leave me." "No I won 't." "Yes you will." "No, Jake I won 't." "Okay, but don 't freak out then." "Okay." • 15. Personal Narrative : My Birthday Party "Today is going to be perfect!" I told myself. It was April 1, 2012, and it was my birthday. I had just finished a long, boring day of school when I started to wait for my eighth birthday party. My mom and I had spent the entire afternoon searching for cakes, birthday favors, and more. This was all to lead up to my party. The party was going to be a star–wars themed birthday party with all sorts of decorations. It was going to be at Kid's Kingdom, a gymnastics center, where we would jump on trampolines. That was assuming I would be able to jump. We left the house and began driving to Kid's Kingdom. I stepped out of the car and immediately tripped over a rock. That was the worst thing I would have ever thought would happen on a birthday. When we went in Kid's Kingdom, we began to set up decorations. We put the cake in place, got the table set, got the silverware out, and we were then waiting for the kids to come. There was still half an hour until the party was going to start, so we waited in the party room. We stood in there for around 10 minutes until I lost my patience, so I left and jumped on the trampolines early. I had then remembered there was a new slide that had just opened. This slide was ginormous. It stood extremely high, and it was completely made of wood. I had to walk up these very steep and narrow stairs to be able to get on it. My mom had warned me to watch my step going up the stairs, but I didn't listen. I was too excited to finally slide down it. As I was running up the stairs, my mom called my name. "Gerson!" yelled my mom. I turned and moved an inch too forward. Without a breath, I collapsed down the stairs, and I felt every stair hit my body before I hit my head extremely hard on the oak floor. The bang sounded like someone slamming a book against a desk. The room was completely quiet. The silence was broken when I let out a screech like no other. My parents came, and they brought me to the front desk in the lobby. The employee looked as terrified as I was. My parents sat me on the desk while they scrambled to get their keys. When I looked in front of me, I saw the sad faces. All of my friends walked by, and I didn't know what to say. They all had blank expressions not knowing what to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Best Birthday Party Let me take you back to the best birthday party of my life. The civil war birthday. It was three days before my favorite movie came out. But I didn't know that yet. My party was still unplanned and we were trying to brainstorm what to do. My birthday was six days away, I didn't have a guest list or anything. I was racking my brain about how I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I knew I would have to come up with something before it was too late. Then I saw a preview of the movie and I knew it right then and there, I want to do that for my birthday.––My mom knew nothing about it. She said when do you want to do it and I said, the very first day it comes out. She asked me if I was sure because it is going to be pretty packed. For a second I couldn't tell if it was my mom I was talking to. She said she does not want to waste her money. Especially if I'm just going to change my mind at the last minute. And I said I am absolutely sure, I want to go the first day it comes out. Well, it was time to go to school. And that meant I had to hand out my invitations. My guest wasn't that big, so it wouldn't take long. I mean, yeah I had a couple people on there. But I had way more invites than I needed. My mom gave them to me just in case I wanted to make it up as I go. I had a lot of people that I was going to give handouts to on my bus. And my bus didn't exactly have the world's best bus seats either.it had holes in the seats. You could pull out candy wrappers from the seats. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. birthday party "Birthday Party" by Katherine Brush uses literary devices such as tone, point of view, diction, and sensory details to achieve her purpose. The title of this short story is very deceiving the tone is different from the tone of the story. The tone changes from happy to sad as soon as the cake is brought out. The women tried to show affection and love towards her husband by the cake but it was basically turned down. The point of view is through a random person who doesn't know the couple at all. The speaker doesn't know how they are as a couple but can see that the woman is upset at her husband's reaction to the cake. "You looked at him and you saw this and you thought, "Oh, now, don't be like that!" this quote almost lets us know that the...show more content... People in the restaurant give a polite and almost desperate applause, but the husband is "hotly embarrassed" (line twelve about his wife 's "little surprise". In the final paragraph, Brush clearly reveals her sentiments about the husband 's response, coloring him as cruel and "unkind" (line eighteen). The line "You looked at him and you saw this and you thought, 'Oh, now don 't be like that!" and the author 's italicization of the word "be" implies a certain amount of disgust for a husband who is trying to crush his wife 's jovial spirit. With a spit of contempt, Brush adds that "he was like that" (line fifteen), intensifying her anger and disapprobation of his meanness. Brush supplies a list of words to describe what the husband muttered to his wife as "some punishing thing, quick and curt and unkind" (line eighteen). The lengthened syntax in this sentence has the feel of the husband 's criticism of his wife for essentially being sweet to him. He comes off as a nasty man too concerned with his macho, stoical reputation to take a moment to be nice to his wife and thank her for remembering his birthday. "Birthday Party" is an ironic story with an ironic title. What this husband and wife experience is certainly no party, but merely another miserable episode in their unenviable Get more content on HelpWriting.net
