Employees of
the Year — 2018
We are so thankful for these wonderful individuals,
who embody the Seven Habits of Legendary Service:
Familiarity H Ownership H Respect H Appearance
Communication H Thanks H Stretch
WESTMINSTER MANOR - FORT WALTON BEACH
2018 Employee of the Year
When we think of consistency, we think of
Linda. Our residents have recognized her for
her exceptional work at keeping the buildings
very clean, and her willingness to fill in other
parts of our community, including in Security.
She has a delightful personality and exemplifies
the Seven Habits of Legendary Service through
her work.
Linda is the recipient of several Outstanding
Achiever Awards in our community. We are
thankful to have her, and are very fortunate
that we can count on her to do her very best
every day.
Linda Allabaugh

WESTMINSTER PHARMACY SERVICES
2018 Employee of the Year
In every interaction with residents, nurses,
and co-workers, we recognize Mariel
as someone who is cheerful, positive,
compassionate and committed. She often
goes above and beyond, whether it’s to ensure
that residents receive their medications or
in helping a co-worker in need. Over the
past several years, she has been integral to
completing several implementations of our
compliance packaging and MedDispense
automation cabinets. Thank you, Mariel,
for your dedication in providing excellent
pharmaceutical care to the residents we serve.
Mariel Aznar

MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES
2018 Employee of the Year
Amanda has demonstrated outstanding
leadership and commitment far beyond
Westminster Woods on Julington Creek,
where she is the executive director. When
Westminster Oaks was impacted by Hurricane
Michael in October 2018, Amanda jumped
right in and helped deliver portable A/C units
and generators to help ensure the community
could provide comfort and care to its residents
during the storm. Her immediate action
and concern for those we serve — at every
community — show how she lives out the
Mission of our organization every day.
Amanda Birch
Regional Director of Operations Date of Hire: Jan. 21, 2015
WESTMINSTER WINTER PARK
2018 Employee of the Year
Chris is a wonderful team player who
supports the residents of Westminster Winter
Park and our new neighborhood, Westminster
Baldwin Park. He has helped us establish a
hugely successful preventative maintenance
program in residential living, and he’s worked
tirelessly through power outages to ensure the
residents are taken care of. Chris even brought
in his own equipment to show the Super Bowl,
when cable went out in the common areas.
The residents praise Chris’s work all the time,
and our community is fortunate to have him
working hard for them.
Chris Bowles
Maintenance Supervisor Date of Hire: May 12, 2014
WESTMINSTER TOWERS
2018 Employee of the Year
Each day, Ricardo goes above and beyond his
regular duties to ensure that the residents enjoy
a comfortable and positive experience in our
community. His fellow team members say he’s
a true pleasure to work with, and the residents
describe him as beloved.
A past Employee of the Quarter, Ricardo finds
pleasure in solving challenging problems that
present themselves during a day’s work. He ran
his own air conditioning business in Puerto
Rico before spending the last five years at our
community. We’re proud to name him our
Employee of the Year!
Ricardo Cabrera
Maintenance Engineer Date of Hire: May 2, 2013
RIVERSIDE PRESBYTERIAN APARTMENTS
2018 Employee of the Year
Riverside Presbyterian Apartments is
delighted to offer our congratulations to
Tammy! Her loyalty and dedication to our
community and the residents we serve is
greatly appreciated. When a tragedy occurred
in our community, Tammy jumped into action
to cover additional duties. She helped comfort
the residents, consoled her co-workers and
made countless phone calls, all at a challenging
moment. Her kindness and caring heart helped
mend our community in a very difficult time.
Our success depends on having devoted and
capable team members like Tammy.
Tammy Davis

WESTMINSTER PALMS
2018 Employee of the Year
Recently, we received a call that a resident
who was in the hospital would be passing soon.
Belinda tried to arrange transportation to get
the resident’s spouse from our community to
the hospital, and when she was unable to find
someone to accompany him, Belinda went with
him. She stayed with the couple for hours, and
provided aid and ensured their needs were
met. With her there, the residents were in safe
hands. Belinda says she tries to build a bond
with every person she meets. That makes all of
us at Westminster Palms especially fortunate,
because she is one of us. Congratulations!
Belinda Felgueiras
Marketing Assistant Date of Hire: February 1, 2013
WESTMINSTER MANOR - BRADENTON
2018 Employee of the Year
Melissa is a mainstay in the Health Center,
after starting out in our community as a
housekeeper. She always wears a smile, and
has been described at times as “having a sunny
attitude,” “always available to help” and “always
goes above and beyond.” She truly loves the
residents she serves, and we see it every day. A
true Outstanding Achiever, she was recognized
eight times in 2018 alone for her dedication!
We’re so grateful that Melissa is here to help
the residents we serve, and we’re delighted that
she is our Employee of the Year.
Melissa Fogarty
Certified Nursing Assistant Date of Hire: April 28, 2008
WESTMINSTER SUNCOAST
2018 Employee of the Year
All year round, Kenny finds new and creative
ways to delight the residents. He always makes
dining special for the residents, and his special
events are extraordinary! He has even helped
one of his fellow employees to develop meal
plans for their daughter, who can eat only a
limited number of foods. He’s met celebrities
from all around the world, from the Rolling
Stones to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and even
cooked a meal with Emeril Lagasse on TV.
Now he brings that expertise and joy to our
residents to help provide delicious dining.
Kenny Hunsberger

WESTMINSTER POINT PLEASANT
2018 Employee of the Year
Bill’s willingness to go above and beyond
is truly legendary. Whether it’s assisting a
resident when they move in, or helping them
understand a cable bill, or helping out an
employee in their time of need, he makes sure
that everyone is taken care of to the best of his
ability. In 2018, he received three Legendary
Service Awards! When an employee’s home
was broken into just before Christmas, and
their gifts stolen, he helped make sure she
was able to provide a proper holiday for her
children. Bill lives the Seven Habits every day,
and we’re so thankful for his contributions.
Bill King
Director of Maintenance Date of Hire: May 27, 2014
WESTMINSTER WOODS ON JULINGTON CREEK
2018 Employee of the Year
For more than 22 years, Darlene has served
the residents at our community in Dining
Services — and has learned to do every job in
the department, up to the level of Supervisor.
This makes her the most cross-trained person
in our whole department! Darlene takes great
pride in her work. Today, she is a cook, rotating
through a variety of positions, and she is
known as the “Biscuit Queen.” Recently, one
of the residents took the time to personally call
the Dining Services Director and generously
praise Darlene for the wonderful lunch she
cooked. We hear so much praise for Darlene
and we agree. Thanks so much!
Darlene Knight

WESTMINSTER ST. AUGUSTINE
2018 Employee of the Year
Mark always has a smile on his face, to the
point that his smiling is contagious. He goes
out of his way to make every interaction feel
special, and he does so with warmth and
genuine care. If he sees someone in need, he
goes out of his way to offer assistance.
He’s so valued by the residents and his team
members that in 2018 alone, he received seven
awards, including a Legendary Service Award.
We’re delighted to have Mark be our first
Employee of the Year since joining the
Westminster family. Congratulations, Mark!

WESTMINSTER HOME CARE
2018 Employee of the Year
After four years as a cook on cruise ships in
the Caribbean, Elise loves to talk about his
traveling days — but he says his dream was
to be a caregiver. Westminster Home Care is
so pleased that he’s settled down, because he’s
amazing. Elise is hard-working, reliable and
dedicated to doing a great job for our clients.
He exemplifies teamwork, always offering
to cover additional shifts and even referring
several other great team members.
Elise has proven to be invaluable to our team.
It’s wonderful that we can say thank you.

WESTMINSTER SHORES
2018 Employee of the Year
Broderick has been described recently as: “A
great hire, truly embodying the ‘whatever it
takes’ mantra.” “Always pleasant and efficient.”
He received nine nominations in 2018, because
his service delights the residents.
He has done everything, from coming in
at night to clean up after a fire, to replacing a
refrigerator or even helping a resident change
his shaver heads. No job is too big or too
small, and he always makes it his first priority
to ensure that the residents we serve are safe,
happy and well taken care of. Westminster
Shores is so thankful for Broderick!

WESTMINSTER OAKS
2018 Employee of the Year
Mary starts each day by recognizing her
fellow team members and the residents. She
always has a smile on her face. Plus, there’s a
hug or a peck on the cheek for everyone, and
something positive to say. Mary also always
looks for opportunities to celebrate: She knows
what the residents enjoy, and will bring in
movies and popcorn or treats from home for
a movie night, and when an employee needs a
pick-me-up, she’ll organize a birthday party or
potluck. We’re all so thankful to have someone
who lives out the Seven Habits like Mary in our
community, every day.
Mary Woody
