•Autotrophic (they make
their own food)
•Absorb sunlight to make
glucose (Photosynthesis)
•During photosynthesis
plants absorb carbon
dioxide and release
oxygen.

•Multicellular
•Ingestive
heterotrophs
(feed on
other plants
or animals).
•Most of
them have
the ability
to move.

Fungus Kingdom
•Multicellular,
except yeast
•Heterotrophs.
•They obtain
the nutrients
they need
from the
remains of
dead plants
and animals.

Protist Kingdom
•Most are
unicellular (amoeba)
•Some are
multicellular (algae)
•Some are
autotrophic, while
others are
heterotrophic.
•Most are aquatic.

Monera Kingdom
•Unicellular.
•They can be
found on land, in
the air, in water
and inside other
living things.
•Bacteria belong
to this kingdom.
•We use some
bacteria to
make food
(cheese,
yoghurt).
•Some bacteria
feed on dead
plants and
animals.
