 The song choice that I have picked for my music video
is Bryson Tiller’s “In Check” as I frequently listen to
his albums/songs and so I have a basic idea of how to
present my narrative using his song.
 This song is a contemporary R&B genre, where the
common theme of music with this genre is love and
relationships which I want to create.
 I have decided that this will be a narrative-based
music video, where the story is the main focus.

Plot
 The video begins with our main character cleaning his
room and then he comes across an old photo of him and
his ex-girlfriend.
 Thinking he has already moved on, the old photo
makes me reminisce the times when they was together.
 He starts to think about what went wrong and how
things came to an end.
 He realises the reason was because of him. He treated
her badly and didn’t think the things he did would
make her feel this way.
 Knowing he won’t be able to find someone like this
again, he messages her, hoping that he would be given
another chance.

Casting
 The main location that I will be using will be in a bedroom as the lyrics
in my song refer to the bedroom as a main location. Other locations I
will use to shoot my scenes will be within ‘Eastside City Park’, ‘Broad
Street’ and more areas that I will decide in the future.
 I plan to use more ‘modern-like’ areas so that the audience can relate to
these situations, giving a sense of realism in the story.
 I have not fully decided who my main characters should be, but I have
some potential actors who are able to take part in my video. They both
understand what type of music video I am trying to achieve and so will
be able to cooperate with me quickly since they know what to do.

Casting
For my female protagonist, I have decided that she will
be played by Perside. I have carefully picked Perside to
be my female character as she also has a good
knowledge of how R&B type of music videos are
produced and will know how a female in a relationship-
type video will have to act.
