Project Description:
HDFC AVM is a project acquired by Cognizant India Pvt. Ltd. For managing HDFC Bank’s
IT DR (Disaster Recovery) Planning and providing support by monitoring, RPO and RTO
deviations, regular DR drills, providing L1 and L2 support for all issues on IBM AIX,
Linux and Windows OS Systems affecting DR servers and suggesting new solutions
for applications.
HDFC Bank Uses Sanovi (Panaces) DRM Tool for monitoring and for IT Disaster
Recovery Management. Panaces Sanovi DRM Recovery Monitor provides
monitoring, reporting, and policy-driven actions for real-time DR readiness
validation.
Sanovi Drill Manager is a module that provides workflow automation of Failover,
Fallback, Switchover, and Switchback DR drill. It is also used for aligning DR
infrastructure with Recovery Time (RTO) and Recovery Point objectives (RPO) .
Sanovi DRM file replication offers a file-based replication capability that packs in
powerful abilities. Sanovi File Replication is a host-based file replication technology
that works over IP networks.
Responsibilities:
5. Working Onsite and managing a team of 5 members who are working offshore in
regular shifts and monitoring the applications through Sanovi DRM.
Monitoring, Planning, Implementation and active participation in more than 60
DR scoped Application testing.
Sanovi DRM is a handy tool for mock drills (wrt switch over - switch back & fail over -
fall back), to maintain the RPO & RTO as per SLA signed with business. Also takes
care of real time disaster scenario for seamless fail over & fall back.
Implementation of IT Disaster Recovery model as a part of BCP operations for
various mission critical applications for the client HDFC Bank. This includes various
business units like Core Banking (Retail & WBO), Treasury, Custody Ops, Retail Assets,
etc.
Ensure IT Policies & Procedures are followed while managing and maintaining
Change, Release, Procurement/Vendor Process. Report on-site during

award for “Best Continuity of the Year”.
