2. Project Description:
Cognizant are a world leader in the pharmaceutical and Retail industry and are at the forefront in
pushing the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines and Retail products. DataPower
team is a part of Integration Excellence horizontal which is responsible for all the integration related
technologies like – Oracle SOA, APIGEE, Snap Logic and BO tools. The primary purpose of
DataPower in TZ is for service virtualization and proxying. DataPower is hosted in DMZ layer. All the
web services and web applications hosted inside TZ network are externalised via DataPower. In the
similar way, the consumers outside TZ and consumers from cloud will access the services hosted inside
TZ via DataPower. DataPower is also used to transfer files securely between various 3rd part
applications and within TZ network.
Responsibilities /Contributions:
 Understanding Client Requirement and Functionality for the Project.
 Developing MPGW and WSP Service as per the requirement.
 In case of new requirement coordinate with business team and understand the requirement
and convert the requirement into workable solution.
 Involved in creation of reusable frameworks.
 Work along with architect to upgrade the environment for future requirements.
 Analyzing DP error alerts and apply troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues.
 Proactively monitoring the DataPower system logs and find the root cause of recurring issues
and fix them.
 Backup and Recovery of DataPower artefacts i.e XSLT, Configurations and domain backup
 Responding all kind of incidents (Sev1 to Sev4) on time, addressing and resolving the
incident without SLA breach.
 Maintaining the Log server configuration and Developing UNIX Scripts to automate
Scheduled Jobs.
 Attend the call and do proper follow up to fix the issue to the successful closure.
 Analyzing, Planning and deploying the changes as planned
