2. Paragraph
Group of sentences about one idea (topic).
A good paragraph have at least three supporting
sentences.
The supporting sentences make up the body of
the paragraph.
Use a variety of details to develop the topic
sentence depending of what type of paragraph are
you writing about.
Unnecessary details distract the reader and
weaken your message.

4. Audience
The person, type of person, or group of people
you are writing to.
After you are clear about your audience you
should know which tone, details and purpose use.
Anticipate audience pushbacks, reactions and
questions.
5. Purpose
What you want your audience think or feel about
your topic.
Think and feel relate closely to the main idea and
tells the readers why your main idea or topic
matters.
The do is also important because is what you
expect your reader to do.
6. Persuasive writing
Convince people about a single topic.
Provoke different kind of emotions through
your writing.
Make the first sentence clear enough to
capture the reader’s attention.
7. Facts and opinion
We should be able to recognize the difference
between facts and opinions.
Facts use reasons and evidence
A fact can be proven right or wrong.
Opinion is a personal perspective about
something/someone or anything and can’t be
proven.
8. Paragraph
Group of

One common style
of paragraph is the
PERSUASIVE.
To support the
persuasive
paragraph we use
FACTS AND
OPINIONS

because are
