2. Animation is a method in which pictures are
manipulated to appear as moving images.
In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted
by hand on transparent Celluloid sheets to be
photographed and exhibited on film.
Computer animation can be very detailed 3D
animation, while 2D computer animation can be used
for stylistic reasons, low bandwidth or faster real-
time renderings.
3. The history of animation started long before the
development of cinematography. Humans have
probably attempted to depict motion as far back as
the Paleolithic period. Shadow play and the magic
lantern offered popular shows with moving images as
the result of manipulation by hand and/or some minor
mechanics.

4. Some early filmmakers, including J. Stuart
Blackton, Arthur Melbourne-Cooper, Segundo de
Chomón and Edwin S. Porter experimented with
stop-motion animation, possibly since around 1899.
Blackton's The Haunted Hotel (1907) was the first
huge success that baffled audiences with objects
apparently moving by themselves and inspired other
filmmakers to try the technique. Inspired by Émile
Cohl's stop-motion film Les allumettes animées
[Animated Matches] (1908), Ladislas Starevich started
making his influential puppet animations in 1910.
5. Traditional animation (also called cel animation or
hand-drawn animation) was the process used for
most animated films of the 20th century. The
individual frames of a traditionally animated film are
photographs of drawings, first drawn on paper. To
create the illusion of movement, each drawing differs
slightly from the one before it. The animators'
drawings are traced or photocopied onto transparent
acetate sheets called cels, which are filled in with
paints in assigned colors or tones on the side
opposite the line drawings.
6. WHERE ANIMATION IS BEEN USED
Animation; the word “ANIMATE” comes from the Latin
verb “ANIMARE” means to make alive or to fill with
breathe. Animation is the rapid display of a sequence
of images to create an illusion of movement. The most
common method of presenting animation is as a
motion picture or video program.
In simpler word; animation means giving life to our
imagination. Animation is not just used
for entertainment, Animation has different uses and it
is a vast course in itself. Some uses of animation
which are served at Hive Studio are:
1. Education
2. Entertainment
3. Advertisement
4. Scientific visualization
5. Gaming
6. Simulations
7. WHY IT IS USED
Animation is used in education because it makes
children watch the animation and not get bored with
it allowing them to intake information.
The biggest use for animation is for
entertainment. Animation is used on the TV, on your
phones, and all over the internet.
Many movies these days are created using animation.
