2. How did you use media technology in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation stages?
Media technology was extremely important in construction as I
used them in many different stages. Adobe premiere was used to
edit the video. I used many different tool which are available on
adobe premiere to make the best version of the video. I used the
effects section to change the contrast and brightness of the
images, to create a juxtaposition between segments of the video.
3. I also used these effects to give a darker feel to the
video. Other effects I used were colourfull transitions
which were meant to symbolize a flash back. I used
matte paintings and faded them in and out between
the cuts. Knowledge of media technologies meant that
the final product was of the best possible quality.

5. We also used Adobe Photoshop to create the digipacks. We were
able to manipulate the image even further to give it an artistic
flare as well as being able to give our artist a visual identity. As
well as a poster promoting our artist. Photoshop allowed us to
create an identity for our artist, it meant that he was not one
dimensional. It also meant that we were able to create more. We
created more layers on the image than in the video to give its
own identity and feel as it has to sell the whole album.

7. In terms of research we used media technology to get a sense of
what our music video was going to be. We realized that the
music video had to represent the genre of the song we chose. As
the song had an indie sound we thought it would be best to be
in live action as that is the convention for indie music videos
where there is a performer. Other genres of music such as
electronic can be animated while others such as Rock tend to be
performance based. We used youtube to find and examine a
large range of music videos from multiple genres, after chosing
our own, we watched many music videos from our own genre.
Media technologies were very important.
8. In terms of planning and evaluations we used Tumblr to
keep our schedule up to date as well as our plan. We
scouted locations to see if the shots we wanted were
possible. The blog was extremely helpful as it was
organized and the shooting and editing were made
easier as we knew what we had to do.
