2. My music magazine aims to attract males between
the ages of 17- 25 within the ABC1 social bracket.
There are several ways my magazine represents
these social groups.
3. On the cover of my magazine I have a
model who is an ideal representation of
the social group I am aiming to attract. I
have a male model between the ages of
17- 25. my model is supposed to be a
musician who would be recognised
instantly by my targeted demographic.
Also the clothes my model is wearing
are consistent with the stereotypes of my
targeted demographics social group.
My model is wearing skinny jeans and a
t-shirt that is also band merchandise.
This types of clothes are stereotypical for
males between the ages of 17 and 24
who are also categorised as ‘alternatives’
4. I have tried to give my magazine a formal look
in order to appeal to my targeted social
bracket. The alignment of text and uses of font
should appeal to my targeted demographic as
it makes my magazine look sophisticated and
attract a more intelligent and mature audience.
5. I think the price represents my targeted social
groups because at around £3 it is slightly more
expensive than other magazines. I feel because of
the social groups I have attracted, they are more
willing and able to afford my magazine. the higher
price suggests my magazine is aimed at the middle
to upper classes.
