1. FLYING A CESSNA 150 AT
BUTTONVILLE
AIRPORT
I am Currently enrolled in the
Professional Pilot Program at Toronto
Airways, Buttonville Campus. In this
program I have now acquired the skill to
fly a Cessna 150 as a solo Pilot. Not only
this is exciting but I have learnt many
skills such as patience, attention to
detail, and quick decision making in each
exercise that I have executed.
2. BACK TO SCHOOL
Going back to school for me was a big
hurdle in my life as it was after 6 years I
have taken this decision to enrol in college.
Currently I am a second semester student
at Centennial College Progress Campus
majoring in Human Resources. For the two
semesters that I have been here I have
learnt many new techniques and gathered
much knowledge.
3. BUYING A HOUSE
After coming to Canada buying a house was
one of my biggest achievements. It has
always been my dream to own my own
house by the age of 25 and I am very proud
of myself for being able to achieve it. This
journey of buying a house taught me to be
patient, to analyze details in a much complex
manner and to be a very responsible person.
4. MIGRATING TO
CANADA
At the age of 20 my family including myself
got the opportunity to migrate to Canada.
Even though this was an opportunity of a
life time this decision was one of the hardest
decisions I’ve had to make in my life.
Having had to leave all of my family and
friends behind and move to a new country
was not an easy choice to go for. Today I am
very happy that I migrated to Canada. This
made me learn how to be strong when it
comes to emotions and how to be focused
to move ahead in life.
5. MEMBER OF THE
CHOIR
Singing has always been one of my favourite
hobbies. To be a part of the Lighthouse
Church Choir was a memorable milestone in
my life. The Christmas Carols, the practice
sessions, learning new voice harmonies
were some of the amazing experiences that
I had during this time. Learning to be a team
player and how working as a team can
achieve much success were some of the
main learning outcomes of this experience.
