1. Centennial College:
A Great Change in My Life
After four years of work experience in
Beijing, I decided to go to Canada to
continue my further education. I came to
Centennial College to study Financial
Accounting on May 2, 2012.
I think Centennial College is a great
college. I received good academic
education. The professors are very
knowledgeable and friendly. I got a GPA
of 4.1 for the past two semesters.
Now I have studied here for almost a
year. When I look back, I am proud of my
decision to come to Canada and
impressed by my courage to face
challenges. School of Business at Centennial College
2. Being an Accounting Tutor
At Centennial College
At the beginning of the third semester, I
wanted to find a part time job that was
related to what I had learned.
I applied to be an accounting peer-tutor at
Centennial College through the website, and
got an interview. I prepared for it carefully
and I got the job.
I do not earn a lot of money. However, I do
get a lot from my job. I enjoy my job. it is my
pleasure to help others with their studies. I
also get to know some nice colleagues and
friends. My communication skills have
improved.

3. Global Citizenship
In the Global Citizenship course, I
worked on a project on Human
Trafficking in Canada. I did
researched on it in the library and
online with two other group
members. We had several meetings
to prepare for our presentation.
We made an excellent presentation
together. Through the project, I
realized that we could not just
stand by to watch others suffer. We
must take action to make our world
a better place to live.

4. An Fantastic Trip to Scarborough Bluffs
The Scarborough Bluffs are the eastern portion of Toronto’s
waterfront, which is located along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. Last
summer, my classmates and I planed to have a trip to Scarborough
Bluffs. After the final exams, I and two classmates prepared for food
materials. On July, 2012, we, 10 people drove there in 3 cars. There we
had unforgettable barbecue party. It was great fun to communicate
with friends and meet new friends.
5. Volunteer Experience
at Rosewood Baptist Church
Being a newcomer, I want to know more
about Canada. There are a lot of
churches in Toronto. I and three
schoolmates often go to Rosewood
Baptist Church, which is near my house.
On Feb. 9, 2013, I attended the church to
prepare food for 30 people, who were at
the party for the Chinese Spring Festival.
I think it is a good opportunity to meet
people in my community.
