2. ART OF THE TITLE
We used art of the title for our research as we were able to view film
openings of different films.
It gave us inspiration for our film opening and allowed us to plan what style
of film opening we wanted and how to make it most effective for our sub-
genre.
We were able to compare films within our sub-genre and pick out common
conventions of the films which we would use within our OTS.
Once we had planned our film opening we then used Art of the title to plan
which credits would be most effective for our film by viewing films within our
sub-genre.

3. We used Defont for our research and
planning. It allowed us to view a wide
range of fonts and apply them to our OTS
to see what would be most effective for
our film opening.

4. We used free sound to
search for Foley sound
fx to place into our
OTS.
We then chose the
sound effect required
for our OTS and

allowed us to explore
a wide range of music.
We could filter
searches to allow us to
view music related
specifically to the
horror genre.
You then listen to the
horror music and select
which sounds would be
most appropriate in our
OTS.

Then install the font
and you can use on
final cut in parallel
with the OTS.

6. We used emaze to
present question 2 of
the evaluation. It
allowed us to portray
the common social
groups within our sub
genre and present this
effectively.
We then added slides
and included detailed
information as to the
social groups we
portrayed and
presented these in
chronological order.

7. YOUTUBE
• We used YouTube to research other films OTS' we also used it to view
other media groups previous OTS' to analyze what they'd done positive
and negatively.

8. POWERPOINT
• We used Powerpoint to collate and display some of the research

This made it clear and easy to look back over our research and
allowed us to make clear and easy decisions about what route
to take with our OTS.
9. YOUTUBE TO MP3
• We used Youtube to Mp3 to get sounds and clips for our OTS and our
production companies Indent. It allowed us to take various hard to find
sounds and apply wherever. ORDER

• We used powerpoint to create a large clear and to the point
presentation on question 6. It was effective and easy to show
our work.
