1. The brief
In my Opie task I had to create a cartoon drawing of
myself using the photo editing software “Photoshop”.
I first took a self-portrait photo of myself using photo
booth and then started to edit the photo. First of all I
created a new layer and started on the hair, originally
I had my hair blue, but I then resorted to my natural
hair colour because I thought it looked to un-natural. I
then added streaks to the hair colour; I chose a
slightly lighter shade and did the parting of my hair.
Next I used the pencil tool to create the eyes, instead
of adding a white dot to the corner of the eye I bevel
and embossed it to have a white glint in the eye, I did
this too set mine apart from everyone else’s. Then I
gradually added a nose and mouth and added a black
line around my face to make it seem bolder.
And finally I did my clothes, it wasn’t hard to do it but
it did take a while to do all of my adidas logo. I then
added a background colour and my Opie task was
finished.
