1. Opie task evaluation
Here is my finished Opie after much fumbling and excessive use of
the backwards button I finally managed to complete the animated
version of myself. I had only used Photoshop once before and it was
less than eventful however during this project I eventually became
sufficient in using the tools.
At the start I used the Magnetic Lasso tool to lasso around my hair
however it didnât work as well and I kept failing to get certain parts
of my hair correct as the tool kept moving slightly away into my face
or it wouldnât follow my hair line properly. After failing to use the
Magnetic Lasso I used the normal Lasso and found it to be much
easier to control and it didnât pull onto my glasses.
2. After I had lassoed my hair I then used the paint bucket tool and got a
sample of my hair colour, I then used the paint bucket tool and filled
my hair in so it was all one colour. I repeated this process for all of
my facial features apart from my nose and mouth which I drawn on
free hand.
I also drawn on my glasses free hand and for my eyes I used the
pencil tool and drawn 2 big circles and 2 smaller ones for the whites
in the eyes.
Next I used the paintbrush tool to fill in the colour in my hair and to
draw the line over my shoulders and to make it look more authentic
and to draw the pocket on my shirt as it was too difficult to use the
lasso tool. I also drew the buttons on free hand.
For the final few steps I drew the mouth and nose on free hand and I
also alerted my chin to make it look more like me.
For the final step I added another layer which I labeled as the
background and changed the colour to pink as it doesnât clash with
the other colours.
