This document outlines the process used by Sharjah Islamic Bank to define, communicate, and measure their core organizational values. They conducted interviews with managers, senior associates, top performers, and new employees to identify themes in emails, sponsorships, stories, and responses to interview questions. Based on this research, they identified five core values: fairness, initiative, reciprocity, simplicity, and trust. They then developed examples and descriptions of each value and refined them based on management feedback to integrate the values into their organizational culture through training, communications, and performance management.
