This document summarizes the work of the Spinal Injury Charity Inclusive Community Leisure Centre Disability Workforce Project. The project has ranked in the top 100 charities since 2013 and 26th in 2017. It provides wellbeing, personal growth and opportunities for disabled people to give back through workforce development programs. The project has trained 300 disabled people as gym instructors with a disability specialism and placed them in positions with private and public leisure facilities. It also focuses on community engagement and disability awareness challenges. The project advocates for change and recognition. The rest of the document discusses why investing in employees is important for companies and motivating factors that help employees feel valued and stay with an organization.
