2. Introduction
• Regardless of all the technologies that we have
nowadays writing is very important .
• One hundred years ago, individuals who could
not write their names were considered illiterate.
This illiteracy, which often resulted from a lack of
opportunity, relegated many people to life as
second-class citizens and sometimes even
nonpersons. Literacy was a symbol of
intelligence, and intelligence was a symbol of
personhood.

impaired, Braille is
no longer in use ?
Why ?
• New generation finds audio more convenient
as technology advances
• New generation = digital age
• voice-assisted apps, just being super helpful

• In train stations in China, all braille signboards
been replaced to audio speakers instead .
• Braille has gone digital through touch screen.
And it is my belief that this could well mean it
becomes more widely available and infinitely
more useful

Perkins Brailler
The Perkins Brailler is a "braille typewriter" with a key
corresponding to each of the six dots of the braille
code, a space key, a backspace key, and a line space
key. Like a manual typewriter.

(version API-19+).

• Vocalizer voice is a third party application for
speak out the Arabic language.

• Choose the Arabic language and download
any of sound.

• Braille keyboard is used to write the Arabic language .
• Keyboard is provided with three icons:-
• Print option is used to print out the text .
• Speak option is used to speak out the text entered.
• Share option is used to share the text ,through the applications
provided in device.

• Help icon provide guide to use of Braille keyboard
• It contains two tabs
• Practice and learn
 Practice: For Practicing the patterns for the corresponding Arabic
letters
 Learn: For learning patterns For each Arabic words.

• It provide the tutorial of patterns in Arabic
words
• Each letter contains a unique patterns
• This tutorial provide the patterns (drawing
numbers) of each letter.
