Thomas Hobbes, an English philosopher (1651) said that only the state could force collaboration and control the behaviors of ruthless competition. At that time, competitiveness was seen as an innate and determining factor for survival. Although simplistic, this belief is still firmly rooted in the business community, although it is based on a false understanding of nature and society.
