INTRODUCTION
In teaching and learning process skill oriented changes
can be acquired. No single method is sufficient to
fulfill all the needs. In learning mental and physical
activity should takes place that only the skill can be
developed. So it is essential to implement various
novel teaching methods
Characteristics of Good Teaching
Methods
 It should provide variety of related experience and
activities.
 It give scope for creative expression of students.
 It should capable to promote interest among students.
 It should improve technique of self study.
Methods of Teaching
1) Problem solving method
2) Micro teaching method
3) Discussion and new ideas
4) Demonstration method
Problem Solving Method
It is a scientific method.
It is divided in two methods.
1)Inductive method
2)Deductive method
It include laboratory experiment method.
It begins with statement of problem and student identify
the solution for that problem.
Definition – Planned attack upon difficulty for the
purpose of finding satisfactory solution.
Problem Solving Method
Steps in problem solving method
1) Identifying and defining the problem
Sufficient time allow for the student to understand
the situation and allow student to put ideas together.
Student should have exact ideas about problem
2) Formulating the hypothesis
Student should find out the all various possible
causes and root of causes and outline the laboratory
procedure by reviewing literature.
Problem Solving Method
3)Testing for collecting and evaluating
Now student enter in laboratory and collect all the
requirements require for the test and conduct the test
and note down the observation. Teacher should assure
that student work carefully and collect accurate data.

4) Interpreting result
Result obtain from the experiment is presented in the
form of charts, graphs, tables. This phase demand
guidance from the teacher. It is opportunity for
student to develop skill.
5)Drawing conclusions
Drawing conclusion on the basis of result obtain from
the experiment. It include recommendation for the
further work.
Micro Teaching Method
 Definition
Micro teaching means teach small unit to small group
in small time.
 Skills require for micro teaching
1)Introduction
Give introduction about topic and explain main part of
the topic. Various devices and techniques are used e.g.
tree diagram, model
Micro Teaching Method
2) Explanation
Describe the main content of topic with reference to
how, why and what the concept.
Use simple language. Explain the concept according to
the age, experience and mental level of student.
3) Stimulus Variation
In this various factors are consider i.e. body
movement, voice, interaction pattern.
Micro Teaching Method
4) Blackboard
It includes use of blackboard and chalk for explain the
concept. It is most commonly used.
Discussion Method
It includes two way communication.
It includes instructor and trainees.
Time given for listening and talking for instructor and
trainee.
It is more active and effective method.
Student and teachers both are participate in this
method.
Concept are easily clear by discussion.
Demonstration method
A method demonstration is a teaching
method used to communicate an idea with the aid of
visuals such as flip charts, posters, power point, etc.
A demonstration is the process of teaching someone
how to make or do something in a step-by-step
process.
It includes three steps
1) Planning
Demonstration method
2)Performance
3)Evaluation
 In between demonstration ask question and encourage
students
 It increase the interest of student.
