• Source Smart is a national recruiting firm specializing in the
insurance and financial service industries. We enjoy national
vendor contracts with top name companies including
Transamerica, Penn Mutual, and Ameritas.
• We own a database of licensed agents, reps, underwriters,
and sales managers in all 50 states. Based on your
candidate profile, we make calls on your behalf to the areas
you are focusing your recruiting efforts and tell them a bit
about your firm and basically do the first phone interview for
you!
• We use your candidate profile and have a team of 12+
recruiters who make calls on your behalf. We gather
information from interested candidates such as:
• Licensing (if they are security licensed we run them
through FINRA to check their U4)
• Who they are currently with
• What the focus of their business is
• Production amounts
• Year they graduated HS
• Motivating factor for considering a move
• We can add to this list of questions should our clients
have other bits of information they would like for us to
gather.
• Once we have gathered all the information, we let the
candidate know that they will here from your offices in 2-3
business days. The information gathered from the
candidate is then sent to our Quality Control department
who listens to the call with the candidate and makes sure
all the information gathered is correct and complete. QC
has the last “say” on what gets sent to the client. Only
those deemed qualified and interested is sent to our
clients.
• Our founder, Tami Hess, has been in this industry for 15
years both as an agent and as a National Recruiter. When
she founded our firm, she wanted to stand out from other
recruiting firms. She recognized the importance of making
our clients, candidates, and our staff first priority!
• While some recruiting firms only send their clients resumes
or very little information concerning the candidate, Source
Smart goes into much more detail with the candidate and we
are so much more cost effective.
• Several things! We are a small firm and have designed
our firm to be small. This way, clients don’t get “lost” or
put on long waiting lists for calls to be made on their
behalf.
• We know of no other firm of this type that utilizes a QC
department to make sure that the candidates being sent
are of quality and have true interest.
