2. MAGIC BULLET THEORY
 The Hypodermic Needle model aka Magic bullet theory states that after
the audience has ingested a piece of information it alters his perspective
about that certain point so if we watch a violent movie it either makes us
violent or changes our view about violence so it desensitizer's us.
 So if we look at the Descent the end where Sarah stabs the crawler in the
eyes because we have taken in this information it completely changes our
view about it so if we see someone on the street plunging their fingers
into someone's eyes then it will not affect us because we have already
seen incidents like these in movies.
 The people that are already in love with violence and the violent
tendencies will watch particular scenes like that and then they could act
upon it. Scientific study’s shows this to be true when they experimented
with 2 groups of kids one groups was shown these violent images and
movies while the others weren't and when they put the groups with a
bobo doll and the group that was the violent images then acted upon it
whereas the other group did nothing violent at all.

3. TWO-STEP FLOW MODEL
 In the two-step flow model there are Opinion leaders
and this is when we listen to piece of information that
when we hear something different from another source
we reject so we already accepted that one source and
support, so if the opinion leaders make a decision on
particular subject the we become passive and without
much questioning it we believe it blindly. So the Descent
would be an opinion leader in the sense because it
depicts woman as strong resilient woman whereas if we
look at Texas chainsaw massacre it depicts woman as
weak fragile women who cant do anything to help
themselves.

4. THE USES AND
GRATIFICATIONS MODEL
 This theory gives audience credit in the sense that
when it comes to media then they can choose what
they want to watch and what they don’t want to. So
it suggests that we make choices on what to view
based on our likes and dislikes so when it comes to
Descent then we can choose not to watch it if you
don’t like horror movies but if we do watch it then
its solely based on whether we like this genre or
because we chose to watch the movie.
