Characteristics of Slow learner
 1. intelligence quotient below 90.
 2. little drive.
 3. short span of attention.
 4.weak association memory.
 5.Poor reader.
 6.Difficulty with abstractions.
 7. Logical in thinking.
 8.lacks imagination.
 9.Unable to detect his own errors.
 10.Little Power to transfer training.
 11. Creative in his thinking.
REMDEIES :
1. Special schools and class may be opened for backward
children.
2. Special training may be given to the teachers to solve the
problem of backward children.
3. Healthy environment may be created and provided in
school , homes.
4. They should not be assigned heavy load of work
5. Teacher should try to understand the psychology of the
children and try to treat them psychologically
6. Children should be motivated and reinforced properly
7. Teacher can teach these children with slow speed
8. Use of audio-visual aids may be emphasized
9. Curriculum may be divided in small units and practical
activities may
10. Be organized for their active participation.
11.Parent-teacher meetings may be arranged and both
should work
Improve learning with the slow learner involve
 1.Reduce distractions, audible and visual.
 2.Promte attentiveness.
 3.keep assignment short.
 4.Repeat work assignment in various.
 5.Provide variation in assignments.
 6.Give more hands on assignments.
 7.keep test short and use oral test when possible.
 8.have test error redone correctly.
 9.Avoid the co-operative.
 10. use Mapping and graphic organizer.
 11.Help the students become proficient with note taking
