- Multiple SAP ERP systems into a single SAP S/4HANA instance
- Talk track: Here’s an example of one Winshuttle customer who saved time and money by automating their master data processes. Dorman are a leading aftermarket automotive supplier who designs, package and market over 150,000 different products. This rapidly growing company has 5 plants and a high level of master data complexity. IT were originally using LSMW for data uploads, but this technical tool was not suitable for the business so Dorman chose and deployed Winshuttle. This particular use case was driven by the need to change the status of a subset of materials from manufactured to kitted. The process involved blocking materials, querying sales orders, cancelling applicable lines in sales orders and then updating the material master, BoMs and routings. Once the necessary changes were made, the revised order lines were added back to the sales orders. Dorman reduced the time it took to complete this process from 60 to 5 hours per 100 materials, resulting in over 123 thousand dollars in savings, and enabling business to move faster. This approach minimized business disruption and because data was validated at point of entry, Dorman were able to also improve data quality. <click>

They’re also not designed to handle complex, strategic SAP data processes. Master data management platforms are great at improving the quality of a few core data attributes but are not designed to automate complex business processes that span data objects and business functions. - I would like to share with you Monster Energy's process transformation story.
- Monster Energy was using spreadsheets and emails to track their product launches (Monster calls it NPW – New Product Worksheet). Their process even required project managers of new products to invest hours each day tracking down status to report back to meetings and management – just another task that was eating up time. In their words it was “organized chaos”. <click>
- Then in 2015, Coca-Cola and Monster entered into a partnership. This gave Monster access to aspects of Coke’s global distribution network <click> and dramatically increasing the number of new product launches (it quadrupled the number of open projects). Their current manual process simply couldn’t scale… <click> [Notes: To be clear Coca-Cola doesn’t own Monster – Coke has a 17% stake in the company] and getting the data into SAP for all the global sites soon became the bottleneck holding Monster back. So, let me share with you a little about Monster’s transformation journey. <click>
- First, we mapped out their existing process – something they had never done before – and there were some real aha moments here. This is where Precisely’s professional services team really began to shine – by looking beyond just the tools. Like any good process transformation project, we reviewed the people, process and technology. This was the beginning of the true Monster Transformation that included automation, process redesign and organizational changes needed to allow Monster to move at a faster pace. <click>

- This quote from Justin Trudeau pretty well captures what’s happening in the world today, and 2020 feels like someone turned the pace of change up to 11. “The pace of change has never been this fast, but it will never be this slow again.” The pace of business has always been increasing, and if you are in the technology space, this change has been a constant for as long as we can remember. But in 2020, the pace of change and our ability to keep up has left many businesses behind. For many companies the pandemic has literally been a case of “change or die” and our ability to pivot has never been tested more. With this sudden change the need for automation has never been greater.
