 Profit is the ultimate goal of every business
 It is quite often a tug of war between profit and growth-LABHAM
& BRUDDHI
 Short term goals may be –market creation, market capture, cash
burning for turnover –the ratio & proportion between the two
depends on the long term strategy of the corporate
 Every corporates has an ethos and a culture –stated /implied.
 You need to sense it and imbibe in it.
 Corporates look for your contribution in their journey.
Types of Corporates
 Like human beings every corporate wants to reach and be in a
paradise
 The three types -
 The wish fulfiller ones - profit only - work for the promoters and the
closest circle - promoters interest is paramount - always under
siege. Hunger outgrown - Profit plus philanthropy or in some cases
philanthropy plus profit - Section-8 companies. Trusts - CSR
companies. Consumer’s interest is paramount.
 Long term view - everlasting flow of profit with interest of
employee, employer and consumer in balance-intervene only
when necessary. Most of our companies, unfortunately, are in the first category - they
aim at fattening themselves.
What do you all expect ?
 Every one wants to be the BOSS, a fat salary and power to
gain control over different resources

 The experience of a professor of a business school about
students from different geography
