Stock Management:
 Planning of material for projects checking against picking slip and coordinating with operations team
regarding requirements.
 Once planning is complete, ensuring material request and the approval process is followed and
thereafter ensuring that the material is ordered and coordinated for when projects require it.
 Follow ups on material status ordered to ensure that the operation planning continues effectively
according to the material requirements per project.
 Receiving all material, ensuring material is booked in via sending the material sheets to SME head
office weekly on Fridays.
 Material issuing to projects and the operations team, to ensure effective control of the material.
 Issuing of all material according to the guideline set out whereby site foreman needs to send in material
requirements by latest 15:00 daily when requiring material for the following day.
 If material is not in stock or in the case of specific material that needs to be ordered the site foreman
needs to request the material at least 3 days prior to requiring the material on-site and in case of
specially manufactured material could take longer depending on the supplier lead time. The above
arrangement needs to be constantly communicated by the Operations Controller to the Operations
Manager and the site foreman to ensure adequate project planning.
 Completing stock takes as requested by head office and completing regular cycle counts to ensure
stock accuracy and complete control of the material in stores.
 General responsibility for the neatness of the store area, including all material, tools and equipment.
Operational Planning and Control:
 Operational planning & scheduling report to be completed weekly on Fridays with the approval of the
Operations Manager and then sent to head office.
 Following up and ensuring that all operational documentation including timesheets, daily diaries etc. are
submitted on time in full as per the SME procedure by strictly Wednesday mornings at 9:00.
Safety Elements and PPE:
 Issuing, compiling and filing of all required employee documentation to new employees, which needs to
be completed in full before sending through to head office.
 Compiling a Safety file for required projects according to the SME standard.
 Controlling of all PPE elements which entails keeping control of stock, liaising with Operations Manager
in terms of project planning and requirements, issuing to staff with all the relevant issuing
documentation and registers.
 Coordinating the safety and technical training requirements for JHB according to the SME process and
liaising with all service providers.
 Ensure tool register is updated weekly for submission on Fridays, including all requirements and
possible repairs which need to be undertaken.
 Ensure vehicle inspection register is updated for submission on Fridays, and is completed according to
the SME procedure.
Operations Documentation and Project Responsibilities:
 Compiling required project, client and hand-over documents for completed projects.
 Completing weekly project pipeline reports and invoicing report by Fridays for the review meeting.

CONFIDENTIAL Stock Management:  Planning of material for projects checking against picking slip and coordinating with operations team regarding requirements.  Once planning is complete, ensuring material request and the approval process is followed and thereafter ensuring that the material is ordered and coordinated for when projects require it.  Follow ups on material status ordered to ensure that the operation planning continues effectively according to the material requirements per project.  Receiving all material, ensuring material is booked in via sending the material sheets to SME head office weekly on Fridays.  Material issuing to projects and the operations team, to ensure effective control of the material.  Issuing of all material according to the guideline set out whereby site foreman needs to send in material requirements by latest 15:00 daily when requiring material for the following day.  If material is not in stock or in the case of specific material that needs to be ordered the site foreman needs to request the material at least 3 days prior to requiring the material on-site and in case of specially manufactured material could take longer depending on the supplier lead time.
