Introduction :
Benjamin Bloom of the university of
Chicago developed the taxonomy in 1956 with
the help of several educational measurement
specialists.
Bloom saw the original Taxonomy as more
than a Measurment tool.
Taxonomy of educational
objectives :Meaning
• A model that described the different levels of
learn outcomes that target what skills and
competencies the teachers aim to develop in
the learners.
• Include six levels of cognition ranging from recall
or knowledge to evaluate of knowledge.
• Progress from simple to more comlex levels of
thinking.
Taxonomy of educational
objectives :
Knowledge :
Recall or recognition of terms,
ideas,procedure,theories etc.
Comprehension:
Translate,interpret,extrapolate,but not
see full implications, closer to literal translation.
Application:
Apply abstractions, general principles or
methods to specific concrete situations.
Analysis:
separation of a complex idea into constituent parts
and an understanding of organization and relationship
between the parts .Includes realizing the distinction
between hypothesis and fact as well as between
relevant and extraneous variable.
Synthesis:
Creative ,mental construction of ideas and
concepts from multiple sources to form complex ideas
into a new ,integrated and meaningful pattern subject
to given constraints.
Evaluation :
To make a judgement of ideas or methods
using external evidence or self selected criteria
substantiated by observations or informed
rationalisation.
Learning is classified into three
domines namely:-
1.Cognitive Domin
Domin of thought process.
2.Affective Domin
Domin of valuating, attitude and
appreciation.
3.Psychomotor Domin
Domin of the use of psychomotor
attributes.
Conclusion
Taxonomy of educational objectives the
classification of educational goals.It can be
used to guide the student in their learning
process,and ensures that learning .we believe
that using a taxonomy of learning objectives
is essential to creating a successful .

  • 3. Introduction : Benjamin Bloom of the university of Chicago developed the taxonomy in 1956 with the help of several educational measurement specialists. Bloom saw the original Taxonomy as more than a Measurment tool.
  • 4. Taxonomy of educational objectives :Meaning • A model that described the different levels of learn outcomes that target what skills and competencies the teachers aim to develop in the learners. • Include six levels of cognition ranging from recall or knowledge to evaluate of knowledge. • Progress from simple to more comlex levels of thinking.
  • 6. Knowledge : Recall or recognition of terms, ideas,procedure,theories etc. Comprehension: Translate,interpret,extrapolate,but not see full implications, closer to literal translation. Application: Apply abstractions, general principles or methods to specific concrete situations.
  • 7. Analysis: separation of a complex idea into constituent parts and an understanding of organization and relationship between the parts .Includes realizing the distinction between hypothesis and fact as well as between relevant and extraneous variable. Synthesis: Creative ,mental construction of ideas and concepts from multiple sources to form complex ideas into a new ,integrated and meaningful pattern subject to given constraints.
  • 8. Evaluation : To make a judgement of ideas or methods using external evidence or self selected criteria substantiated by observations or informed rationalisation.
  • 9. Learning is classified into three domines namely:- 1.Cognitive Domin Domin of thought process. 2.Affective Domin Domin of valuating, attitude and appreciation. 3.Psychomotor Domin Domin of the use of psychomotor attributes.
