expression and expressing ideas of
permanent or universal interest.

1- TO Give Aesthetic pleasure
2- Not to Serve any utilitarian purpose

2- Pure Literature
• * Expression of more
importance than
information.
E.g. Keats's Ode to Grecian

11. Scope of Literature
 Anything that can be conceived by the human mind.
 It comes from the life of men so it envelops the life of
every man from poor to filthy rich.

 Literature holds for you plenty of things in the
pipeline.
 Just explore them to widen up your intellectual
muscles.
