• Expository writing is one of the popular writing
style. This form of writing is used to inform, explain
and describe a concept to the readers. In expository
writing, paragraphs are organized in a lucid manner
so as to give readers a thorough understanding of
the topic. Expository writing form is used in essay
writing in which the writer presents the main idea
in an introductory paragraph which is followed by
two-three paragraphs which contain accurate facts
and figures to justify the topic. Besides, it also
contains a concluding paragraph that summarizes
the topic precisely the readers.

chronological order. This style of writing
encompasses a main idea along with supporting
facts and figures, and conclusion. The main
objective of expository writing is to inform the

information as well as explaining or
describing a difficult subject. It is a format
that allows the reader to easily follow and
understand instructions that can serve as
functional knowledge of the topic. The clear
and concise style of the writing allows the
reader to utilizes the information in an
unambiguous, straightforward way.
