Summary)
I have brainstormed ideas of
what my game is to become in
the first week I thought about
making a 3D cover shooter type
game or a role playing type
game but I have decided to do
more an atmospherics horror
game that will be 2d since I do
not want to fuss over the art side
of the game and more focus on
the gameplay I brainstormed
some ideas for this game asked
some horror game fans what
ideas they would have to put in
and came up with a lot of ideas
related to the game genre at
hand and have quite a lot of
ideas for what this game is going
to include
I am going to start writing out
and brainstorms the behind
the scenes of the game the
plot/story of the game with will
probably take this entire week
but if it doesn’t get finished I
might just have a game where
you find out the small sized plot
as you go along in the story
and have it small and simple is
not very good but get the story
done basically

I am making all the narrative behind
my game it's not a very large
narrative it's going to be a small
typical story but it's going to be ok in
what it does for my game i also go
the setting out of this which is a
good setting it going to be a human
testing lab that is underground this
will help me not spend time creating
the outdoors everywhere since it will
be in a lab mostly underground
which will allow for tight corridors
and just overall setting design
started researching appearances

characters because i need to
research deeply into this and
get the right appearances for
everyone

want in my game and i didn’t do
what i set out to what i wanted to do
in this week

and my main character and the
evil lab setting and i also need
to large selection of images
that will help me with designing
my characters

that can help inspire my character
development and the enemies
development and my setting
development I also watched videos
of games being played
I plan to continue to research
characters, settings and
enemies for my game and
maybe research atmospheric
sound and music to go with the
game or atmospheric tricks of
the trade

went on to create a tech demo and
the base of my game and decided
to do in construct instead of game
maker

base game so i can get all my
features to work and find out
which ones will work and which

demo and creating the base

Trying to fix the spotlight on
multiple layers and create a simple
enemy ai the enemy ai was created
after watching tutorial and it was not
what i wanted and i just looked
around in the engine and found a
makeshift chase system to chase
the player and the spotlight system
is still in for repair

PROGRESS UPDATE PLAN FOR NEXT MONTH / WEEK (Including Possible Contingency Plans If Problems Anticipated) Mon W/B 05/01/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I have brainstormed ideas of what my game is to become in the first week I thought about making a 3D cover shooter type game or a role playing type game but I have decided to do more an atmospherics horror game that will be 2d since I do not want to fuss over the art side of the game and more focus on the gameplay I brainstormed some ideas for this game asked some horror game fans what ideas they would have to put in and came up with a lot of ideas related to the game genre at hand and have quite a lot of ideas for what this game is going to include I am going to start writing out and brainstorms the behind the scenes of the game the plot/story of the game with will probably take this entire week but if it doesn’t get finished I might just have a game where you find out the small sized plot as you go along in the story and have it small and simple is not very good but get the story done basically Mon W/B 12/01/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I am making all the narrative behind my game it's not a very large narrative it's going to be a small typical story but it's going to be ok in what it does for my game i also go the setting out of this which is a good setting it going to be a human testing lab that is underground this will help me not spend time creating the outdoors everywhere since it will be in a lab mostly underground which will allow for tight corridors and just overall setting design started researching appearances Continue to research appearance of enemies and characters because i need to research deeply into this and get the right appearances for everyone Mon W/B I did little game design this week i I plan to actually do research
  • 2. 19/01/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) brainstormed all my previous and some new ideas into a mind map and this helped me think out what i want in my game and i didn’t do what i set out to what i wanted to do in this week on appearances of my enemy and my main character and the evil lab setting and i also need to large selection of images that will help me with designing my characters Mon W/B 26/01/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) This week i looked up a lot of video game characters especially 2d ones and got collection of a lot images to that can help inspire my character development and the enemies development and my setting development I also watched videos of games being played I plan to continue to research characters, settings and enemies for my game and maybe research atmospheric sound and music to go with the game or atmospheric tricks of the trade Mon W/B 02/02/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I continued to research my characters and setting and the gameplay aspects of my game and went on to create a tech demo and the base of my game and decided to do in construct instead of game maker I will continue to make my base game so i can get all my features to work and find out which ones will work and which won’t due to creating the tech demo and creating the base game Mon W/B 09/02/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Trying to fix the spotlight on multiple layers and create a simple enemy ai the enemy ai was created after watching tutorial and it was not what i wanted and i just looked around in the engine and found a makeshift chase system to chase the player and the spotlight system is still in for repair Next week was half term so i didn’t plan to any work on my game Mon W/B 16/02/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Half Term I didn’t do any work on it Half Term I didn’t plan to do anything Mon W/B 23/02/15 I worked on features of my game so they work correctly and i also i plan to remake my project into game maker from

Mon W/B 27/04/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Mapping out all my levels and putting simple systems in for most of my features that am going to include in my game Pathfinding then ui and gui and the player ability system Mon W/B 04/05/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Worked on my levels a little more got a completion screen did work on my pathfinding of my enemies and got my turret to fire repeatedly at the player and made a game over screen The players ability system the ui and gui and sound and music Mon W/B 11/05/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Fixed the options menu finished music for my game and currently finishing off the level design of my game and looking at the game overall to see if theres anything that can be done with already implemented features Finishing the level design and making adjustments to the turrets in my game and making them do some visual cues Mon W/B 18/05/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Fixed some issues with my turrets did some level design still fixing the paths but got a visual target circle of the turrets Complete most of the features as a whole so i will need to do tweaks and fixes Mon W/B 25/05/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Mon W/B 01/06/15 (Detailed Weekly Summary)
