Stuart Preston created a concept art final major project of a floating steampunk city. He drew inspiration from steampunk pictures of floating and moving cities with propellers or balloons. While Stuart was familiar with the Photoshop interface and computer use, which helped make the concept look more professional, his weakness was not being able to draw neatly or creatively. This reduced the quality of his drawings and some ideas were lost. Stuart was also lacking experience with the software, so the concept art was not as professional as hoped.

I am here to evaluate my final major project that was a
concept art floating city that I got an idea of it off all
different types of pictures especially steampunk type pictures
with their floating city or moving cities with propellers and
or massive balloons
I think my strength on this project is that I knew the basics
about the Photoshop interface this helped me use different
tools to make my concept look and feel more professional and
more advanced looking also I had used computers a lot and I
know how to use a mouse carefully and precisely this helped me
draw more precise lines and curves to make the city come to
life in the drawing
I made it look like that after doing some realistic and
airship City Designs but decided on the steampunk futuristic
design because I could be more creative and less restricted
with the design craziness that could happen include a city
that just floating because a small platform is suspended by
bars underneath it and the city is like a million times larger
than the platform this allowed me to be as creative as I like
with my city concept art and I was
My weakness was not being able to draw neat and creatively it
reduced the quality of my drawings and didn’t allow for many
ideas to be put to the paper so some ideas were lost be I was
happy with most of the ideas I did which were a town a carrier
city a underwater city plus a floating city the other problem
I had was lack of experience and expert knowledge of the
software I was using for my concept art so it wasn’t as
professional as I hoped it would be but I couldn’t become an
expert in the short amount of time I had to complete my final
major project before the deadline next time I try to learn all
about the software am using and what to do and the best ways
to get a brilliant concept art or other types of design out of
it and try to do something more creative instead of drawing it
