8. Finance and procurement
EC4’s Finance Department holds within it, significant experience in
hospitality, gained from both the UK and International operations.
Since EC4 acquired the Cedar Court portfolio, new systems and
controls have been implemented, with a focus on measuring the
financial success by the monitoring of key business indicators,
rather than emotional or previously used measures.
This has resulted in improved treasury control, better cost
margins, increased productivity and improved profitability.
Simple changes in procurement have also seen an improvement in
the guest experience - as well as reduced expenses.
