SKILLS & ABILITIES Strategy: I have first-hand experience in operations yet still evaluate the breadth of each
opportunity to create an efficient service operation profile to bid and run. Factoring in the
mechanisms thatcontribute to both service quality and profitability, I can steer the operation
from start-up through the contract term to the anticipated outcome the companydesires.
Data & Market Analysis: A key focus of my job has been to delve into the written and verbal
details ofthe bid; investigate marketconditions;and find comparisons or supporting
documentation for the assumptions being made,(and to challenge the assumptions of
others). Having analyzed more than 1,000 contracts, I understand how to identify
operational challenges and maximize opportunity.

Experience: I’ve run a variety of transportation services and regularlyworked with local
operations to assistthem directlyor indirectly with contract adherence,performance
enhancements,labor challenges,clientnegotiations and sensible approaches to complex
issues. Through Business Development,Iwas successfullyable to communicate goals and
expectations clearly between the clients and operations to ensure both were successful.

2005 TO 2015
Gathered operating data, developed,prepared and approved bid model pricing for over 200
opportunities a year. Won over 50 contracts in 2014.
Presented Pricing Detail to the Executive Group complete with Sales Strategy and Decision-
Making Tree.
Analyzed currentdivisions and their operating statistics to identifyservice improvement
potential,costcontrols and reliable forecastdata for application towards new business.
Developed/Trained additional Directors ofPricing.
Trained Regional Operations Managers and GM’s on how the pricing of their contracts are
developed and how to interprettheir budgets.

Indianapolis,IN,Burnsville,MN and Lawrence,KS.
Negotiated service expansion in Burnsville;broughtservice levels to goals in Chicago;
repaired DBE issue and moved facility in Indianapolis;and completed the overdue task list
from Lawrence.

1998 TO 2000
Hired as GM of Division operating Pace Lake County ParatransitService, Abbott
Laboratories Shuttle,U.S. Robotics Shuttle and Charter Bus Services.
Nine days after I was hired,I was additionallyassigned the managementofanother Pace
operation of 100 vehicles over 50 miles away.
Provided operational oversightof multiple Midwestlocations.
PRESIDENT CAR ENTERPRISES
1982 TO 1998
Initially assisted familytour bus business with bus washing,tour development,expansion of
charter services and tour director functions.
In 1987 the companybid and began operating contracted paratransitservice for Pace. I
developed the bid and proposal response and dispatched the initial service.
Won and expanded additional Pace contracts through 1998 reaching 102 paratransit
vehicles and 12 fixed route vehicles.
In 1997, contracted with Abbott Laboratories to run a business campus shuttle and mail
delivery service with 10 vehicles.
Negotiated the sale of the companyto Laidlaw Transportation.
