Editor's Notes

  1. CG Notes: Rationale In a communication process, conflicts can occur due to poor listening skills. Conflicts need to be avoided in the listening process. Besides conflicts, the listening process also gets hampered when the listeners are not interested to listen. Similarly, it gets affected when there are ego clashes that occur between the sender and receiver. All these factors are specified as deterrents to the listening process. To make listening process effective, all these deterrents need to be avoided. This session focuses on recognizing the conflicts that occur in the listening process. Then, it highlights the strategies that need to be followed for reducing conflicts. Further, it informs about the deterrents that occur in the listening process and strategies to overcome them.
