4. ATCC is an electronic system that uses camera and sensors
to count the exact number of two wheelers, four wheelers and
commercial or heavy vehicles passing through the section.
5. The ATCC consists of pneumatic tubes, hooks, holding strips, blocking
valve, machine (ATCC), safety lock and safety cones.
The pneumatic tubes are placed in transverse direction along the road at
selected place.
The pneumatic tubes are placed at known distance of 1 meter between
them by denoting the tubes as (A&B) along the traffic movement.
Block the one end of the tube and another end to be connected to the
ATCC machine. Same as to be done for another tube.
Before starting the survey the machine is connected to the application
(MT exec) in the laptop which is given by the manufacturer.
6. The machine will be locked to the pole nearby for the
security purposes.
When the vehicle moves over the tubes, due to the air
pressure the tubes will blink and it will be noted by the
machine.
After the completion of the survey period the recorded data is
unloaded and the equipment is dismantled.
The survey is conducted for a minimum period of 7 days.

8. By using PCU (passenger car unit) factor we get the results.
The recorded data is used to calculate ADT & AADT.
It is also used to calculate motion or speed of the vehicle.
The peak factor is also obtained.
