Professional Experience
Served as a specialist mechanical designer for regional companies requiring my
focused engineering expertise. Solidworks was used at all the positions shown below.
The following is a listing of the major project work I have completed since 2004:
• Slayer Espresso Machine Company (2015-2016) Engineer and designer of high
quality commericial espresso machines. Implemented drawing standards
and revision control to all parts, drawings and assemblies. Creation of all Bills
of Materials for assemblies. Negotiation with vendors, both domestic and
foreign, for price and quality control.
• Omax Corporation (2011-2015) Electromechanical Designer of precision
water jet cutting machines. Specifically, design of ultra high pressure water
pumps and automated solids removal systems for water jet tables. Headed
the finalization of design for the 10060 100HP high pressure pump.
Coordinated with manufacturing, engineering, documentation and
production planning to meet the target date for release of the pumps on
time. Implemented a file vault system to keep the some 200,000 CAD files
and other documentation used at Omax organized and revision controlled.
Both individual initiative and teamwork skills are a regular part of this position
to meet the project performance goals.
• Algas-SDI (2009-2011) Mechanical Designer and Drafter for Algas-SDI. Algas
2. designs and manufactures LPG and Natural Gas vaporization equipment
sized from propane tanks to large scale custom industrial installations.
Designed a self-contained vaporization system that was housed in a 40'
ocean container for a Saudi Arabian gas production company.
• Volt Technical Services (2009) Contract mechanical designer. Was contract
designer for Algas-SDI
• Genie Industries (2008) New product development for rough terrain scissors lift
equipment also providing support to manufacturing operations. Also
completed prototype fixtures and test rigs for hydraulics.
• Hartford Engineering (2007) Hartford Engineering specializes in steel structures
and heavy equipment designs. I worked specifically on a ferry loading dock
design for the Texas Department of Transporation.
• Williamson & Associates (2004-2006) Worked specifically on the design,
construction and deployment of an deep ocean ROV with 20,000ft deep
ocean capacity for the Japanese government. Machine set a world record
for deep ocean geologic core sample return.
• Packaging Technologies – now a division of Areva (2004). Involved in the
design, creation and documentation of nuclear material transportation casks
as used on railroad transportation and ship borne modes.
