Lead Mechanical Engineer 2006 - June 2015
• Responsible for mechanical engineering packages (Interiors, Systems and Structures) for
Dallas in addition to collaborating with the other Service Centers on Mods, LSTC’s and
STC’s as well imports and exports following the FAA, TCCA, EASA regulations.
• Liaison avionics and electrical engineering packages.
• Design installations for field approval Mods, STC’s as well disposition shop errors and
hanger rash on all Bombardier Aerospace business aircraft platforms from Lear’s,
Challengers to Global Express.
• Converse with customers to identify there wants and needs to provide an amazing
customer experience.
• Was a focal for BAS Dallas and Engineering throughout the network on a Bombardier
Aerospace initiative, Achieving Excellence.

Mechanical Designer 1999-2006
• Developed intercostals destined for standard installations for bulkheads and partitions.
• Conceived a cup mount system for the installation of overhead storage and upper galleys,
later incorporated as a standard installation.
• As Lighting and Systems Integrator, restructured and revamped the Personal Service Units
(PSU) and Cabin Lighting division and cut engineering time by half.
• Assisted and lead Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Projects and saw them to
Realization. Listed below are a the projects:
• Cargo Door Net (External access to the cargo area safety issues)
• PSU Attachment (Improving the safety factor and quantity reduction)
• Shell Cost Saving (Eliminate waste on Headliners, Overlays, PSU and Sidewalls)

• Responsible for generating the flammability test plan for the Thermal and Acoustic
Insulation Materials on the Global Express XRS to conform to FAR 25.856(a). Additionally
responsible to look over the flammability test plans and produce the compliance reports for
the Global Express XRS platform to comply with FAR 25.853, 25.855, 25.869.

• Developed and shower system that quickly recycled the scrap paper produced at the
beginning and end of rolling the paper on a spindle.
• Produces standard documents for clients.
• Assisted in producing preliminary layouts and presentations for client’s approval.
• Successfully completed a project as a Key focal on replacing a 42-inch diameter and 500 feet
long pipe (the life line of the mile) under four hours without incident.

Mechanical and Structural Designer (contract) 1998-2006
• Developed and implemented a design for train bridges expansion joints permitting a
continuous protective membrane to cover the substructure preventing water infiltration.
• Provided support in developing new equipment, to facilitate the application of the liquid
membrane on to large surfaces.

Worked as a detailer on electrical and mechanical components, supplied to Spar Aerospace.
• Designed electrical and mechanical components for manufacturing.
• Created a catalog for all the components.

Engineering Research and Development 1990-1997
Worked on several research and development projects for engineering funded by industry.
• Studied and developed hydrofoils for aquatic airplanes. One of the areas that exceeded
expectations was the minimizing of the drag and maximizing lift.
• Headed a study on converting a 1950 incinerator owned by Concordia University to
incinerate bio and chemical waste. This initiative if put in place would have saved the
maintenance department more than 30% of their total annual budget.
• Was mandated to develop a plan to restore a 30-year-old HVAC system to its original state.
Headed a team to develop a robot that would fit in the ventilation system and be able to
clean one level at a time.
• Member of Concordia University Faculty Council, representing Mechanical Engineering.
• Assisted in the development of holographic interferometry methodology for all of
engineering.
