production issues in the areas of foundation design, structural analysis, and related steel design
engineering.
Use of ALGOR and NEi NASTRAN with FEMAP software to perform modal, DDAM,stress,
vibration, shock, and thermal finite element analyses.
Design and analysis of structural assemblies, structural components, and structural and thermal
systems.
Lead structural analysis and design of LHA-6 main cargo elevator system structure redesign.
Shock and thermal analysis of gas turbine exhaust ducts for LHD-8, LHA-6 and DDG-1000
programs and preparation of associated CDRL sections.
Provide engineering support for field change of various foundations and structure using FEA
to validate;
Design and modification of new analysis techniques for analyzing composite material structures.
Modified standard analysis code in NASTRAN to run DDAM analysis for composite material
structures for DDG-1000 Program.
Hull Tech review and approval of structural assembly drawings from design in order to ensure
structure meets Navy Specification and Northrop Grumman quality standards.
Training of new hires in analysis tools and methods.
