3. Plot Ideas
One- A couple meet in high school. As the boy goes to college they
have to face the realities of being physically separated. The rumours,
lies etc could ruin their relationship, or they could end up as
childhood sweethearts.
Two- A boy who is a total outcast falls in love with one of the
‘popular’ girls on finding that she is in fact secretly very smart and
kind. She loves him, but hides this from others, making him feel low,
thus causing him problems. The two work it out in the end, and she
stops caring what people think.
4. Location-
Soundtrack-
For the soundtrack to a romantic films, everything is very stereotypical. The music
tends to be an instrumental piece which is not well known. It is achieved normally
through a piano or violin based score.
And so, for our trailer, we would record someone playing ‘light’ instruments and play
the music quietly in the background.
The location for a romantic film is usually somewhere ‘normal’ as it makes it more
realistic. And so, a school setting (such as college) or an outdoor setting would be good.
To take shots of the characters ‘outside’ we could use Werneth Low, as this could be
seen as a place where the couple do ‘romantic’ things like going for a picnic in the sun.
