1. We have decided to go for a typical
teenage look; because she’s an
secret agent we don’t want our
character standing out from the
crowd.
We want the characters hair out so
it will show more of an feminine
side of her.
2. We didn’t want our character to look too plain so we added a side bag and made
her carry some books so it will show stereotypically she’s a hardworking student.
We wanted to take the glasses off,
but then we realised that also
stereotypically shows that shes
more into her studies.

3. However, after we established our story board we realised we should stick to the
conventions of a school and focus on School uniform. We decided to keep our main
character as she is however add something like a school tie to show she’s just
average and her own person. Our film opening consists of different stereotypes of
how young people are represented in schools. We thought that we should alter the
way they wear the uniform could symbolise their individuality.
The ‘popular’ girls
The pink clothing emphasises their femininity and the accessories of necklaces and
belts connote they are quite fashionable as may dress to impress as some teenage
girls are portrayed stereotypically and not really into their education.
The ‘Geeks’
4. Most of the time geeks are portrayed to be ‘goody two shoes’ and highly intelligent
however they are also usually the victims of bullying. Due to the media, geeks are
now recognisable by their glasses, sometimes braces and for having no care in
fashion. We chose to include geeks in our film opening in order to establish that it is
set in a school where there are different types of people.
For the ‘gangsters’:
From our own experiences as well as the media, it is evident that there are
‘wannabe’ bad boys in every school. They are usually identified by wearing hoodies
and chains to show how their ‘bling’
