 COURSE DESCRIPTION
An intensive study of basic principles of
and issues in psychology from the point
of view of scientific method.
As a survey of the entire field of
Psychology, it attempts to unify all areas
that deal with the basic principles and
concepts of human behavior.
 COURSE OBJECTIVES
A. GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
1. Stimulate interest and develop insight in
understanding better, how and why
people behave as they do through
acquiring knowledge, and understanding
of the psychological concepts and
principles governing human behavior.
2. Apply knowledge of psychology to the
solution of problems, create a more
fulfilling social and physical
environment, and help people adjust to
the demands of their changing world.
 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
1. Orient them on the biological and
sociocultural principle governing human
behavior.
2. Acquire knowledge of the dynamics of
human growth and development.
3. Gain an appreciation of human motives,
abilities and interest so as to improve
interpersonal relationships.
4. Promote personal and social efficiency in
handling the problems of everyday living.

Intro Psychology Course Overview

  • 1.  COURSE DESCRIPTION An intensive study of basic principles of and issues in psychology from the point of view of scientific method. As a survey of the entire field of Psychology, it attempts to unify all areas that deal with the basic principles and concepts of human behavior.
  • 2.  COURSE OBJECTIVES A. GENERAL OBJECTIVES: 1. Stimulate interest and develop insight in understanding better, how and why people behave as they do through acquiring knowledge, and understanding of the psychological concepts and principles governing human behavior. 2.
