Grammar Lesson.
 The present simple.
It’s using only the verb.
Not something that is happening right now
We use it to express an action that is repeated, a
fact or short actions.
This actions can be:
Habit. Daily event.
Hobby. Sheduled event.
Grammar Lesson.
 How to make it?
1ST and 2nd person singular form + infinitive verb.
Verb
Same goes for all plural forms.
Ex. We talk in class.
You drive your car.

• When using HE, SHE and IT add an S at the end of
the verb.
3rd person singular form + infinitive verb+S
Ex. He likes talking on the phone.
She lives in Germany.

Verbs ending in a S sound (kiss, miss, etc) we add an
ES at the end of them.
Ex. He misses his girlfriend.
She teaches Spanish.

1st and 2nd person singular form:
Pronoun+ Don’t (do not)+ verb.
Ex. I don’t need to study.
For all plural forms is the same.
Ex. They don’t talk a lot.
 3rd person singular form:
Pronuoun + doesn’t (does not) + verb.
Ext. He doesn't do his homework.
It doesn’t work without batteries.
Exercise.

 Possessive adjectives.
Singular:
My, yours, his, hers, its.
Plural:
Our, your, their.
Ex. Steven is__friend.
Look at the dog__tail is short.

 The verb TO BE.
Positive:
I am or I’m
We, You, They  are. Or we’re, they’re and you’re
He, She, It is Or He’s, She’s and It’s
Negative:
Just add not after the pronoun.
Ex. I__ Canadian.
He__ Japanese, he is Chinese.

  • 12. Grammar Lesson  Present simple in negative. 1st and 2nd person singular form: Pronoun+ Don’t (do not)+ verb. Ex. I don’t need to study. For all plural forms is the same. Ex. They don’t talk a lot.
  • 13.  3rd person singular form: Pronuoun + doesn’t (does not) + verb. Ext. He doesn't do his homework. It doesn’t work without batteries.
  • 14. Exercise.  __Jaime___(like) to ___(play) soccer?  __you go to school everyday?  __the cat __(play) with the dog?  __we have any homework tonight?
  • 15. Review.  Possessive adjectives. Singular: My, yours, his, hers, its. Plural: Our, your, their. Ex. Steven is__friend. Look at the dog__tail is short.
  • 16. Review.  The verb TO BE. Positive: I am or I’m We, You, They  are. Or we’re, they’re and you’re He, She, It is Or He’s, She’s and It’s Negative: Just add not after the pronoun. Ex. I__ Canadian. He__ Japanese, he is Chinese.
